Fond thoughts of your homeland, Targossas, fill your head as you leave it, ready to embark on new adventures elsewhere.
Thanks for the memories targ crew!
dang the bets were that talamond left first
Talamond isn't ever leaving. Tyvm.
It continues to be impressive how often you go out of your way to take potshots at Targ, though.
It's impressive that you took that as a potshot against Targ, looked pretty tongue and cheek about the situation.
Good luck wherever you end up @aralaya, unless you end up in Mhaldor, in which case, I am going to enjoy breaking you
Making that kind of comment with respect to players leaving a city is about as tactful as making fun of the city because some of its players retired.
If it's not meant to be a potshot, then take this as notice that I and many, many Targ players saw it as one and people can try to be more tactful. People should all play where they enjoy, and many people enjoy Targ and are understandably sad when players leave!
My post was entirely about the light history, both IC and OOC, that I have with Aralaya and Talamond. Aralaya has generally been very not-open about other cities, whereas Talamond is a lot more open to discussing opposing ideologies and with enemies, and that was the only point being made. Hence me using their actual names and not going 'lol targ loses another player!!!' or something as crass as that.
Considering how often people post much more directly aggressive shit about basically every city (including some of the people liking your post who are frequently openly hostile), I don't really find the comment particularly noteworthy unless you're already looking for me hating your text city (I don't, I've said repeatedly Targ's one of the better cities, but no one bats an eye if someone goes 'lol hashan/eleusis/cyrene', as is often done).
Aralaya leaving isn't some great tragedy, the only thing that matters is Ara having fun with whatever choices. If other people take it more seriously than that, then I guess that's where the dissonance comes from. The usual response is to immediately post 'lol convert to my city', though, and I don't see how that's any better.
Still, if people are sensitive about it, I'll just not post about it in the future (unless it's someone I know very well, in which case I won't care).
@Aralaya your lucky to get the one seeing as none of us even wanted to enemy you. Legit had to go sit under the waterfall and afk for 10 minutes after collecting.
Don't worry, I told Talamond I was gonna give you a day to realize you made a terrible decision and ask to rejoin before I came after you. A day isn't quite up yet
Considering that it was Saeva, as well as her timing, my first thought was "Trolling," easily. No heart attacks here.
But hey, you got some people good. +5 points to you!
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."

It's been a day and I'm still breathing, where you at?
You have been promoted to Legionnaire of the Watch of The Dawnblade!
Woo! Thank you @Xandir@Atalkez@Solnir@Farrah@Antidas for all the help with combat and including me in things to help me complete the requirements I needed for this. I am so excited to see whats next. And thanks to the Dawnblade for the amazing ceremony behind it!
A cramped boudoir (indoors). Fissures pepper the rocky surfaces of four basalt walls forming the boundaries
of this stifling boudoir, which do little to keep out the pulsating waves of
heat from its surroundings. Numerous portraits of Hecate hang haphazardly upon
the northern face, emphasising the voluminous curves, or lack thereof, of the
Crone Queen in a poor attempt at seduction. Thick and unbridled, the stench of
rot and decay hangs heavily in the air, blanketing in particular a tiny bed
pushed against the western partition. Dried streaks of reddish-brown blood and
patches of yellowish discolourations stain the once-white sheets, the crumpled
fabric dangling onto the floor after one too many rough nights. Lacking in any
visible windows or sources of light beyond the dull heat of magma, this chamber
is one created to offer the utmost privacy to its occupants, shielding them
beneath a shroud of darkness. Hanging upon an adjacent wall, a faded picture of
Tanris Rozzan stares across at the bed. Her modesty barely contained, the Crone
Queen Hecate stands here in a virescent wedding dress.
There are no obvious exits.
Followed by consummation.
And then.
Your surroundings are abruptly consumed by black smoke and orange flames. A
moment later, your vision clears to reveal a new place.
On the precipice of the Void.
The stars twinkle in the clear night sky. Glittering within the air as it slowly
rotates, a glacial shard of a star pulses with an inextinguishable power. Babel,
God of Oblivion towers above, churning plumes of blackened miasma wilting
reality beneath His presence. He wields a spear of slithering flame in His right
hand.
There are no obvious exits.

Love it
It absolutely is not for 1v1. Needs a far chunk more work, but at least the group stuff goes ok!
(I got alchemist summoned for the first time and was totally rekt)
