@Drodak - Dude...breathe. Give a day or two off. Breathe. Sorry you got upset, just take your punishment, get your head cut off, etc. The fact you are getting reprimanded should "put you in your place." You earn your position in Mhaldor. I hope you don't leave permanently , you were my most promising protege.

I'm pretty sure the 8th truth is don't act like a bitch and admit when you were wrong. And if Cynders is such a shitty player why not try and prove it by being better than her? Get them house/city ranks and unleash your inner badass, not channel your crybaby spirit. Or something/ I don't know. MORE COFFEE.

ps- look you made me use my first post!
I appreciate you saying that, I really do and trust me I am sad about the whole event. I took the day off work yesterday and despite the fact that I rarely even drink these days I ended up drinking white russians all throughout the evening. I barely remember my interaction with Xer but I'm pretty sure it was as awful or worse than my interaction with Cynders. I have no idea why I decided to be a jerk and go slay her for no reason. I stated in a previous post that I was clear headed but the lie detector determined that that was a lie. I don't think your a bad player Cynders I don't even know you and I am pretty sure that was my first interaction with you. I'm pretty embarrassed that the community had to see me act like a child but I do hope at least some of you guys were mildy entertained at the spectacle. I will give one last and actually sincere apology to anyone who was in any way a part of my idiocy last night. My apologies. Anyway as far as keeping on playing.. I've realized Achaea isn't like WoW. I can't get drunk one night and talk crap on trade and nobody gives a crap the next day or even remembers. I make a pretty decent living and when I like a game I'm inclined to spend money on it. It is very easy to lose a considerable investment of time and money in a game like this with making a foolish decision in game. That doesn't sit well with me because I can and will do some pretty dumb stuff from time to time. I may decide to play again but right now I highly doubt it. I truly enjoyed my time in game with the people I got to interact with and you guys are a pretty cool community and I hope you stay that way.
Yes, we aren't like WoW, where you can be goofy and no one really takes note. However, most players are prepared to forgive and let you move on/build upon these kinds of mistakes if you're prepared to be sincere on an OOC level. You don't need to leave permanently if you don't want to, although a break might help. And even if your character is built for a place, that doesn't mean that you couldn't create a story elsewhere for your character. (Jhaeli here was intended to be a Chaos-loving Occultist in Ashtan and ended up a Cyrenian Knight for most of her life. Achaean life happens!)
Regardless, I didn't really want to help drag this incident out further, so I will leave it at this: It's up to you how this chapter ends, whether you keep playing or not. Don't feel you have to give up a hobby you enjoyed for our sake.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."
That doesn't sit well with me because I can and will do some pretty dumb stuff from time to time.
You could join casual Ashtan, abusing your liver and credit balance. Sure, Motown tightens up like a bull's ass at fly time, but there are plenty of orgs willing to drink and play right along with you.
Playing Achaea while drunk usually a terrible idea. Unless you're @Dragonknight In which case it's fine BC he sent me credits
Last time I was drunk on Achaea @Vaehl kept bugging me to loan him my wings,so I went to delos to impulse buy them for him as a gift. Thankfully all my credits were bound and I couldn't q8^)
Normally hunting isn't very exciting for me, since Priests can bash without too much problem. However, I did nope the eff out of a fight in a room with too many ghouls, wrights, zombies, and ghasts. After my partner died, my health was dropping continually to 20%, and running wasn't helping, I pulled the final priest card of Angel Refuge. As much as I cuss my angel out for not helping fast enough, she finally pulled through. Was not about to risk my newly gained level.

Oh my god @Tenebrus was the best drunk. He came to noose me in my grove. Was barely typing coherently. When he quit he was like, "Later losers! I'm getting a taxi home and you'll all still be stuck here on the internet." (But less legible.)
But yeah. Don't play under the influence. We're laughing at you, not with you.
Don't drink and Achaea! You end up spending 400 dollars on globes, with a lvl 3 lupine, and shit to show for it all besides raiding Mhaldor, winning, and people complaining cause you're slamming doors in their face. Dude, not worth it.
I played Achaea drunk one night. I was kill stealing like a mad woman. And I was laughing the whole time. Somehow Kross killed me on accident just joking around so he let me kill him back.... and it took me like three minutes to try to damage him out while he was paused (The intoxication was real!) so I just behead him then he was like REALLY!? hah... that was a good night.
Drunk Achaea is great. Last time I drank and Achaea'd, Me and Jhui duo raided Targ. I can't remember the odds, but I recall it being something like 2v5 or 6. Overall, we lost a ton of xp, but everyone had a blast.
That being said, if you're generally an angry drunk and can't handle just having a good time, don't drink and MUD. Better yet, if you're just an angry person overall, don't MUD at all.

Last time I played drunken achaea I joined CIJ and met Beya. Overall not a bad chain of events!
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."

Latus signing in totally smashed was always good for a laugh, too, if you could decipher the faceroll-style typing.
Need a new thread titled 'What happened to me last night?' full of drunken revelry. I find the Fire and Spice experience more authentic with a cocktail on hand.
I don't care if your House or your City have rules. When you know someone's AFK, it's bad form to abuse it.
Disagree, That's what theft was made for. As someone who plays a serpent I am appalled, to hear such words come out of your mouth.
Afking in an rp environment is something that is frowned upon, and should be abused, whenever possible.
We have write journal, and we have qq. There is no real excuse for someone to be upset about dying afk or being robbed while afk.
On the other hand d/c'd is completely different (Which is also why if I get d/ced I generally instantly log into my phone to qq or journal until my internet stops being a retard)
-- Edit, This kinda makes me sound like a dick and a serious roleplayer. I just like robbing people.
I'm not even good at roleplay.
---- Also I think we've all been enemied/kicked out of cities from drunk achaea. and im not going to go find the post to quote it. was something like blah blah when you act silly people notice blah blah, I do it all the time and no one ever seems to mind. o_o
Also I find combat when i'm drunk extremely fun, mostly because im a highly defensive player but when im drunk i'm highly offensive.
Aureate light spills from the mouth and nose of Iakimen as Mystic Valentinus Xanatov-Jinx, Chymist of the Third Eye transmutes his flesh into gleaming gold.
Granted, he killed me twice for doing that, but still! I had my moment of slightly-less-scrubby.
This casual aside sort of bugs the crap out of me, and it seems to be a train of thought a lot of people actually have, and because they feel this way, tend to shy away from RP, and so they don't bother, so others around them don't bother, and it turns into sort of a negative-feedback loop.
You are anonymously playing a fictional character in a fantasy world. You absolutely need to not let thoughts like "I'm bad at it" or "I do it wrong" stunt or stop you from doing it more. Honestly, people tend to let their own discomfort and self-critique prevent them from RPing, which means their characters never get a chance to develop, and/or they never actually GET more comfortable RP'ing.
Nut up, submerse yourself, and just RP. (for clarification, not singling Caladbolg out in this, just using his particular comment to springboard a mini-rant and observation.)
Uhhhh what happened to me today, sailing, city quiz, more sailing, and a raid on Targossas during most of which, I had 0 idea of where I actually was, or what was going on, epitomized with:You tell Sempai Akia Yusef, "My following you is a bad idea and probably really dangerous."followed immediately by embracing death.Standard day, really.

Corrected. A negative feedback loop in this case would be like people pointing out HELP INSANITY when you act OOCly, and you going "oh, okay, I'll roleplay," and then you roleplay. It's a positive feedback loop since it contributes to its own behavior, even if that behavior might be considered negative.
Dueled my first occultist in a few RL years and learned (the hard way) about how long you have to fire off paralyse/peace after that last tarot lands. Good times.
I've played Achaea drunk before, but not often since I'm not much of a drinker. I did, however, play one night after ingesting a handful of magic shrooms, then sparred Roroan while he was drunk at the same time. It went something like "Akti spar me" "dude im tripinb bals" "its ok im drunk".
So we go into the arena and Im just lazily pressing F1 F1 F2 F2 F1 F2 while my monitor is breathing/warping and I'm convinced the text scrolling by are messages sent by God on my path to enlightenment, and I could understand all the universes mysteries if only Roroan would stop DSLing me so fast I can't read the sacred texts from Above.
Finally we timed out because Roroan couldn't kill a dude who later that night thought his cat was trying to telepathically communicate with him.
