Finally turned on serverside curing for the first time ever.
Wow. Who knew bashing is so much easier when you aren't also typing out WRITHE, DRINK HEALTH, EAT MOSS, APPLY CALORIC, DRINK IMMUNITY, APPLY MENDING, STAND, EAT BLOODROOT at the same time???
I feel a bit like a dragon lady, I think sleep deprivation from all this hunting has made me a bit less cheerful and sparkly than usual, sorry if I have inadvertently been bitchy to anyone the last couple days!
This has been a ton of fun, my first great hunt, was really awesome to have the city vs city aspect too. I am so proud of Cyrene - how we all supported one another even when sometimes competing for hunting spots, cheering one another on, and all the support with runes, lucky, running for fallen citymates, corpse collecting, being a track target at the urn, etc. I love my city.

I thought I had a good lead in the Great Hunt until I saw you guys flying through the top ten ranks. It brought out the competitor in me so that, against all sane reasons not to, I ended up hunting from 8:30 pm yesterday right up until Serenade today.
That's the longest consecutive time I've ever hunted before in Achaea! 47% experience, gaining level 105, 4 million essence offered, and close to 600k later...I'm whipped!
Even the last hour though I was engaged in this hunt more than any previous one. I spied Dochitha gaining on me and felt driven to keep going. Now that it's over, I keep obsessively checking the scores as if they're going to change. *twitch*
To everyone who competed, well done! Thanks to the all-night folks, who played music in the dj.achaea room too. You kept me awake and entertained!
Kudos to @Tecton @Makarios and @Sarapis and whoever else reworked hunting too -- I'll admit it:
I have come to love the hunting changes. This was the first time I'd hunted in dragon since the changes went in and this is the only Great Hunt in all the years I've played Achaea that I didn't feel like it was just a sleepy-headed button mashing session. The new system really is interesting and fun to use.

Needed sleep too much, though. Was in fifth place when I went to bed, woke up with an hour left to go (I'd intended to be up earlier, but c'est la vie) and I'd dropped down to fourteenth.

Also settled an old mutual IC misunderstanding with someone, and it feels awesome to move forward and to be able to say I would be happy to consider this person a friend going forward.
Then let go of a grudge I 've held for a little while now due to somebody hurting someone I'm really protective over. After hearing them out and how they're rectifying the situation, I am glad to see things hopefully working out in the end.
So it was a productive day with lots of good things!
It started 10AM on Sunday my time, but I was doing other things that involved the outside (horrible place, advise never going!) until late afternoon. Logged in somewhere around 4PM, bashed through to about 8PM (ranked 7th or so), went off to cook and eat dinner, came back at 9:30 (ranked... 9th?), bashed to about 3AM (ranked 5th), then slept until almost 9AM (dropped to 14th) and bashed for that last hour (back up to 9th), but I only barely scraped through by a couple of points since I caught the Azdun vampire respawn about three minutes from the end of the GH for a last-minute massacre.
That <expletive deleted> urn, though. So many corpses.
( @Tecton @Sarapis please make the next 24h GH start at 12 noon on Saturday GMT+10 or something, and I promise to do my best at staying logged in for the whole thing.)

Progress is being made
It's a great one! About 43% for me, got level 103, lots of gold, made me buy a lucky from SoW, and drugged too. hehe.
This is by far the hardestcore hunt for me, never did that even when I was rushing for dragon. I hunted a straight 17 hours.
It also opened my eyes at how quick the Top 5 is moving. Now I have a new goal.

So I wake up at the early early hour of 12:30pm because I have to make sure my lineups are set and then 9 hours of football!!!
I log into Achaea after realizing I'm stuck with the Jets game as the 1pm game. The following occurs almost immediately:

-foggy brain confusion for a few seconds-

AP tells you, "yes."
You tell AP, "I do."
AP tells you, "Do you have a pebble?"
You tell AP, "nope, no pebble."
AP leaves to the south.
You tell AP, "Why do you ask?"
AP arrives from the south.
AP gives an enchanted pebble to you.
AP is seriously the most generous guy I know and while it's probably easy to guess who he is I am unsure if he wants to be named. But he is awesome and I am always grateful for him being around.
Surely old news to everyone by now but thank you for keeping the old house halls around. This made my day.
