Today I got appointed as the Ivory Cleric, in other words, the Head of Newcomers for the Harbingers of Redemption.
This is very exciting. The Harbingers of Redemption are definitely on the rise, and the position goes hand-in-hand with my position as the Dean of the Targossian Academy. I'm stoked that I can continue the success of the Academy, and simultaneously, my House!
I am honored, so thank you @Aodfionn, and @Carmell for your previous HoN work!
First and foremost, I saw the return of the one and only @Alcreadia from nonexistence! It is great to have you back and I am sure Hashan will feel the same way.
Got caught up to speed on the recent events around Hashan, after getting back from a glorious week in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It's been fun brainstorming and theorizing with Hashan about what's going on and it's great to see different groups all seeking solutions in their own ways. It's been fun! @Ginovianna, @Tyamat, @Sarieno, @Cinandra, @Starke, @Rinku, @Rhite, @Aoghinius, @Tharvis, @Aduan, @Kasa
One of the most interesting "Know thy Enemy" interviews I have had with a Targossian. @Ashelynne, it was fun!
Whoa, I can't remember the last time we had an election. Mannimar vs Ginovianna
It was in January, when Mannimar replaced me after I stepped down. I think that's just about a Hashan record for longest period of time sans elections.
Today, Sari spent time with @Alcreadia and @Verily; Assisted @Kaillian with combat issues; Inspected several areas of Hashan for the purposes of ongoing internal events; Tried to help a broken-hearted drunken novice; finished the current round of shop leases in Hashan and got promoted to squire in the Knights. He also spent a bit of quality time with @Aoghinius and @Valentinus.
All in all, I spent too much time in realms today.
I got to yell at large group of house mates for harassing a brand new recruit, telling this novice that they were going to change his name, give him a nickname, and rhyming his name along with titling him inappropriately. Basically harassing him because they did not like his name, instead of just saying hey, your name is not really appropriate here is HELP NAMES. I was very disappointed not only in the people who were involved, but in the people who did not stop the harassment. This is not how we treat our novices, this is not how we have fun in our house. I'm still rather upset over it. And to top if off once I left realms because I knew I would get more angry if I stayed, the members that were most responsible for the harassment were insubordinate on the house channel after all was said and done.

Thats pretty disgusting, wish you had logs for name/shame. I made sure to drill into the CIJ novice aides that novices were not just the future of the CIJ, but the life blood of Achaea as a whole. Sure, some funny novice names would pop up (we had a Porkburger not too long ago) and the House would laugh and jest about it, but nothing remotely malicious. I'm nearly positive that in the past, the staff has said making fun of novices for their names is not okay, and Sarapis shut down that thread about "worst names" that was basically every cities daily amblogs of bad novice names. If you felt it was over the line and the novice was turned away from Achaea because of it, I'd definitely report someone for that sort of stuff. The fact you say it was a large group of your Housemates implies a hive mentality, and sounds like some House culture needs addressing, but without further details I can't really comment.

I returned in a way I thought was quiet, but I've been inundated with love from Hashani new and old, and even ex-Hashani, so thank you all, I'm really enjoying my home

It might be a hive mentality, but it certainly is disgusting and the titles the kid were given were a blatant breach of the rules on HELP TITLES. And since none of them is apparently willing to speak up on who did it, I threw it the admin's way. Rest assured that if Tharvis as a character finds out -who- gave those titles, either that person will be disfavoured into the ground or killed until they beg for mercy.
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
<cut> Tried to help a broken-hearted drunken novice <cut>
I think I know who this poor sap is. Shame on him for not knowing how to move on. Shame on him.
So far, Rhite has been writing, writing his introduction, writing a ritual analysis study which is taking 15 pages, writing down vague events from history that barely anyone can remember, and writing his self-imposed Iskadar Studies book which he promised to finish a few Achaean years ago...
@Aktillum-- Sadly I have logs of the whole thing, of the harassment, of the title change, of two individuals bad mouthing me after I yelled at the house and left realms. This really upset me. When you have a certain picture in your head of your house and how wonderful it is... and then it is crushed. What I'm most upset over is not the two individuals who were the harassers, because sadly their actions are not surprising, but were the 3 council members that were around and did nothing, and the other house members who were around and said nothing. There is one person I am most disappointed in, and... there are no words to express... how much rage I am feeling for this person.
@Shirszae I don't feel comfortable doing that. For one it is house business and the details stay within the house. Two they can feel the shame of it without their names being spilled. They are being dealt with.
LOL. I see the words of fealty I mentioned to Atalkez that came from the Seleucarian Empire went to use somewhere.
Yes, I know that wasn't the intention you had when we talked about it. It works for their RP though! It's also on his sword too, so it has plenty of meaning to him now. Thanks @Ruth!
@Halos Thanks! I wasn't sure if I should add it to the description but I went with it. I think it's an awesome saying.
Also thanks @Ariettie for helping me take my rudimentary design and making it all pretty like!
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
Went to Annwyn. Was there long enough to kill five denizens before being chased out, again. Thanks to the person who sent me the warning. Very unexpected yet appreciated.
So, I sparred and got my butt kicked, but the great thing is the extra time that @Brogeta put in afterwards to explain what he does, why it works, things I could have done differently, and how I can use that information to get better. Also took the time to spar me again after the fact, so I could try putting some of the advice to use immediately. I learned a lot in such a short time. I really appreciate your time and patience in answering my questions. I can't thank you enough. Won't be long before I am standing my ground.
Chipped away at a lingering house requirement. Last one. Will be happy when it's done.
Had two awesome conversations with friends who know how to cheer a girl up. Thank you both for restoring my faith in myself and all the things I have been working toward! Also to the friend who sent the chocolate milk, timing was uncanny. And my incredible fiance, though absent in body yet present in mind, always has advice to help me get around obstacles, real or imagined.
Today Shimi got introduced to @Shirszae and had a pretty long but cool rp conversation. There was laughter, bitterness, a moment where I thought they were gonna get nasty and in each others faces, and some sadness alleviated by cute puppies!! All in all I had a lot of fun! hope you were as entertained as I.
Got level 92. Hunted and fished up about 150k (which I promptly blew on comms). Had an awesome, inspiring chat with fellow Housemates about design and other things (oh and graduating too, but as I keep saying, can't rush perfection :P). Got talked into participating in the Asterian Restoration Crafter's Fair, super excited about that, and it even gives me an excuse to make a nifty ring I've been thinking about crafting lately. Added a room that will eventually be a kitchen onto my - still very much under slooooow construction - house. Pinterested interior design ideas.

Your idea #1905 was deleted. The text was: Having the limitations for customisation and designing
recorded somewhere in the help files for reference. Appearance descriptions are 50 characters long
and dropped descriptions are 80 characters long. This stays the same for both customisations and
designs submitted through the UUC, and would be a really helpful reference to have under both HELP
DESIGN and HELP CUSTOMISATION.. The reason given was: Be live soon.

Both @Airtreia and I are old enough players to remember the Vertani invasion. Frankly shame on me for not thinking of it sooner. :P so good job, Airtreia. Oldbies represent!
@Skye yeah I looked over the conversation everyone had with Ranoult via a person who transcribed it all. Honestly no one really seemed genuinely interested in assisting him.
I took it upon myself to talk to him and managed to secure help from Iayh. Honestly getting his friends back wasn't too difficult at that point. I just had to shake A LOT of rust off for some things... There was a lot of hand holding from Ranoult haha... But there aren't any witnesses to that so >.>
I was a very active participant in that war so it meant a lot for me to even speak to them.

So much writing
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

!!!! is all I can say. @atalkez, @ixora, @aesi, @renoir thank you for making playing Lala so awesome.

Some ups and downs, but all in all, a good month.
Today I helped a Vertani mage split the plane and bring Ranoult his friends back.
He plans to settle somewhere with his friends, so I guess more to come on that?
