  • I dusted a Sartai shrine before logging for the night, thought my city was raiding Mhaldor, turns out they were raiding us and I took the gare exit straight into the Mhaldor group. Didn't end well for me, but I did laugh at the irony.

@Kitiara that was awesome. Fingers twitching to write rituals again because of that! @Herenicus made me chuckle. Love Mhaldorians.

Well if you do and need someone let her know,  Kit is like the city's torture beating bag. She takes it like a champ.
    "Kit always gets blood everywhere."
Medi says, "If kit says to show up somewhere, bring an apron."
    Medi says, "Rule of thumb."

I got sent text turned off by default. Don't need to add in 'false' to the end of it. Baddie.

    Do you even Mudlet, bro?
    SEND FALSE U NOOB

I had a few avenues for RP opened up. For those who know Tahquil and her mistrusting, cautious personality that makes it hard to start off that initial interaction with characters. She's the kinda character people like to bitch behind her back instead of to her face which really limits RP opportunities. These opportunities gives her a reason to go up and talk to people with reason behind it.

    Thank you, @Aerek, @Herenicus and @Tristitia

Achaea's in-game target switched to something I did not want to hit, and I have no idea how or why. Suddenly afraid to rat. :worried:
  • May explain this one guy who accidentally hit an Hashan guard after killing a spectre in Hashan.

@Tecton @Makarios is what Kandra experienced intended behaviour?

In the client, that's tabbed targetting. It can be brutal.

Anyone I ever find on the html5 client, I always advise them to use SETTARGET, or ST, instead of tab targetting when inside a city. That way they avoid 99.9% of the headache. Outside of cities, you're usually okay and shouldn't run into trouble a lot, though of course they should still be taught about probing.

Had a novice who literally hit a guard or Maric or etc three times before, and after each other I death I scowled at them more. When I finally pointed out this issue in an OOC tell, he finally stopped. Poor kid.

  • Was not using the web client. That was 100% in game target using ST. I'm on cMUD, so hitting tab wouldn't have done anything.
  • Speaking of targeting problems, targeting rat in Mhaldor will actually cause someone to hit Maric
  • Omgosh those poor newbies. Starting the suffering at an early age?
  • I'm cheating, since it happened to me yesterday, but me and my IG family were learning in the woods (no clue why) when we were set upon by a thief/notthief sentinel/notsentinel helpless maiden/not helpless maiden in the woods who we then proceeded to tease back and forth until I had to leave. It was fun, @Tristitia, even if you hate us after leaving with a broken leg and two vials richer.  :D

    • Got to explore Hashan more indepth with the help of @Tharvis the tour guide. Who knew Hashan was such a mysterious place.
    • Fought a lot with @Aodfionn (even though I adore him oocly). I feel like they're an old married couple - except that he could still divorce (excomm) her at any moment.  :D

I need to print this card out and frame it. Probably not for my desk at work though...

To those in the room with me today when I made a terrible mistell that was meant for Kog, this might explain some things. I've never before made a friendship from my attempts at getting one over on someone, but maybe... just maybe for the first time I have. (And three at that!)

Also, I must add that it is incredibly flattering to have had such little interaction with people yet and see my name mentioned on the forums. ( @Tahquil et. al.)  I'm having a blast and I wonder why I ever left this game.

Logged in for the sole reason of asking about someone I knew many many years ago. Had sad news confirmed.

    Then got this:
Riding the currents with an easy grace, a blue-grey mountain swift gradually descends in wheeling spirals. Swooping just above your head, it briskly relinquishes a scented letter into your outstretched hands before flapping its wings and rising smoothly into the firmament.
You break open the sealed document, destroying the seal in the process.
As you open the letter to read, you catch a waft of a teak and patchouli infusion with a lingering touch of water mint. You read what is written on a delicately embossed, scented letter:
    PHRAMPTON
Although the outer seal is broken, the signature seal remains.
It is sealed with the arms of Rinzai, but the seal has been opened.

    I love you, @Rinzai
