People try to invite me to other skype groups on occassion ... usually results to me leaving because ALL THE GOD DAMNED CHIRPS EVERY SECOND DRIVE ME INSANE.
And no, I won't turn them off, because I might miss a more important chirp from more important people on skype. ... Also, I am just generally an unsociable person, and having people constantly blabbing and not shutting up will just drive me into seclusion anyway. I am leaning toward introvert, I do not like you people sucking up all my precious energies
When Canada rules the world, things will be... nii~ice.
My experience has been similar to Ruth's- any time more than one or two Achaeans are on my skype list, I usually end up playing something online with 'em and we never talk about Achaea, really.
ETA: I've never skype-raided with anyone, and that makes me sad. Makes me feel like I'm missing out on something important
@Daklore Pretty sure typing /alertsoff in the chat mutes sound from specific group chats!
You can set it to alert you on certain words when muted, too.
I use Skype! Mostly Druids, IG family, close Eleusians, some others.
If you need me, you can find me sporadically on the Achaea Discord as Yae. Do not DM on forums unless you're ok with waiting a couple months!

You can type "/alertsoff" into a chat, and then that chat will no longer make noises but others still will. Restore noises using /alertson. This won't help with the being unsociable. :P
I've used Skype for quite a period now. It is mostly for outside of the game interactions. Although I have asked a few if there was a raid going on if I did not feel up to logging in and defend for god knows how long. That's about it. Most of it is just conversations.
Also Eleusian Housewive group was rather nice. @Rangor got a little too happy being around that many women though, can't say I blame him.
I have it but don't use it for raiding or anything like that. I don't even have any of the major Targossian raiders or defenders. Just a bunch of enemy or neutral people.
I use it, mostly for private stuff but there's a couple of Achaean's in my contact list. Mostly we talk about combat/raid strategy though so it's like a mini ACC.
I use skype to solicit pics of @Kross and @Kenway.
And to also share things from the weird side of the Internet link things that Kenway will always click every time without fail because he is way too trusting and apparently doesn't learn ever.
My Little Pony porn exists, after all. It needs to be has been seen.
I have a Skype account, but I don't use it very often. Mostly I text chat with people from other online text-based RPGs. It might be nice to have a ready OOC outlet to other Mhaldorians, as being a Mhaldorian can be OOCly stressful sometimes.

At least I spared you the horror of the delightful Asian couple I wandered onto last night.
I... I cannot unsee... and the baby oil... so much oil...
[2:41:24 AM] Kenway: I bet you smell like evergreen trees and you could wrestle boreal mammals but they'd rather just cuddle you
I mostly use it to talk with internet friends that have grown too cool for IRC, but my Achaea-specific activities include sending random videos/songs/music videos/videos of adorable dolls giving adorable cooking lessons to @Nellaundra, and sharing silly logs with the one friend I actually got to play Achaea. Also I cry to @Tvistor for not teaching me how to kill room people
I do, sometimes. I used to fall asleep talking to @Trey which is probably why he never calls anymore >.>

@Antonius, he actually has one of the most loveliest voices! I think we've had some exceptionally long conversations that lasted quite a few hours too.
Just you know.. when you're in bed and it's 2am.. you nod off and talk in your sleep to keep the conversation going.
