Roused from a narcotic fugue to incoherent fury, a swami of the Cactus Clans has consigned <person>'s corpse to the earth.
This tall, lanky ascetic is emaciated to the point of ill health, ribs almost visible through his robes. Leaning on a deadfall staff, there would be little to distinguish this decrepit and unkempt man from a common beggar were it not for the staring wildness of his eyes. Brilliant viridian irises surround swollen pupils to form a gaze rife with madness, narcotics, profound insight, or some combination of all three. Matted, wiry hair streams from the eremite's forehead incapable of being tamed, while the deep mossy green of his ill-fitting tunic, stained with forest mulch, serves only to reinforce his dishevelled appearance. Walking barefoot on strong, callused feet, the swami's lower legs are a musty, terraceous brown. A ramshackle profusion of pouches hangs from his side, many of them bulging, fit to burst with a motley collection of bones, herbs, and arcane poultices.
They honestly don't suit Hashan as it currently stands, but man I love them so much.
30) Bleak told You: You just raided Eleusis whilke proficy was exterminating .
31) You told Bleak: I raided Eleusis? While a monk exterminated?
32) Bleak told You: Exxia.
33) You told Bleak: Or I chased you for attacking me because you ran there.
34) You told Bleak: Are you a fucking idiot?
35) Bleak told You: Yeah I hit the wrong button.
36) Bleak told You: But I was triyng to get to delos to fight Proficy and his minions.
37) Bleak told You: So you where not helping Proficy?
38) You told Bleak: No, I was jumping him.
39) You told Bleak: Before you jumped me.
40) Bleak told You: I only hit your shield.
41) Bleak told You: I was jumping Proficy.
42) Bleak told You: Where you forestenemied?
43) You told Bleak: I'm a Corten you fool. Of course not.
44) Bleak told You: Stop the bloody swearing, man. You where attacking Eleusis while Proficy and
Exxia where exterminating. Can't blame people for thinking you are helping them.
45) You told Bleak: I have you as the prime witness for the reason I was in Northern Ithmia. I
chased you directly. If you choose to lie in some. (I get jumped)
46) Bleak told You: Yeah yeah. But a lot of things where happening at the same time.
47) Bleak told You: You know that we all get notified when somebody is exterminating, right?
48) You told Bleak: So try to process as fast as the rest of us. Especially when you are the cause.
49) Bleak told You: Alright.
50) You told Bleak: I'm going to put you on ignore for a few months. Your idiocy is stifling.
Little interactions like this are what make me glad that horrid old Oakstone system is gone. Kick PKer, get chased directly to Eleusis, get slammed with forest enemy for aiding. Adorable cancer.
He did similar shit to me. Randomly mind threw me from clouds into the eastern ithmia and started attacking, then ran back to Eleusis. 5 seconds later, queue all of Eleusis trying to come out and kill me because "I was raiding"
He interrupted my duel 4 times in the span of 10 minutes, so he got ganked in response.
His response? Radiance me everytime I'm in a far-off spot from him (or mid duel, from Above clouds) because he got "ganked for no reason". Soon as I show up to do anything, he runs back to Eleusis guard stack with his veil. Excellent addition to the player base in 2016.
Your actions > My actions. Forgot about that golden nugget.
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
Also, why is Eleusis defendable 1 room from Clouds anyway? Couldn't we like, make that north exit spit you out 4 rooms north or something? Getting mindthrown off clouds immediately into a forest that's locked/group is all kinds of annoying.

North from Clouds will hit Rom's grove (I think it's Rom's).
The Eleusis Gare exit spits you out on defendable, certainly, but if memory serves several other city exits do as well.
- (Eleusis): Ellodin says, "The Fissure of Echoes is Sarathai's happy place." - With sharp, crackling tones, Kyrra tells you, "The ladies must love you immensely." - (Eleusian Ranger Techs): Savira says, "Most of the hard stuff seem to have this built in code like: If adventurer_hitting_me = "Sarathai" then send("terminate and selfdestruct")." - Makarios says, "Serve well and perish." - Xaden says, "Xaden confirmed scrub 2017."

North, Southwest is defendable. Two rooms, I guess. But in comparison, that's defendable territory the same way the Approach to Ashtan or Approaching Targossas is, imo.
All other exits are 3+ - I'm not talking about Gare, talking about Clouds exits. All Gares go to defendable directly.

Bleak's return shows how much this game has mellowed out over the years. Back when he was last active, this stuff qualified for standard PK activity and fair RP. Sure, folks complained about it then too, but I think we all knew it was an internet game, and people on the internet played to win, not for your feelings. Compared to then, Achaea has gotten polite and gentlemanly; I don't ever remember folks restraining raids or sending people home to balance numbers like we expect now. People think Proficy, Jinsun, and Dajio are "griefers" these days, when we all used to deal with Manu, Santar (before he chilled out), Bonko, and Ovid. Not even a comparison.
@Bleak might give no shits about fighting a "fair" fight, but I wouldn't say he even approaches "griefing", we've all just gotten used to a kinder, gentler Achaea. Maybe we know the playerbase is shrinking, so we have to be "nicer" to each other, or maybe we're all just lazy and set in our ways and don't like our routines interrupted. Not saying you can't complain when you get ganked or raided into the ground, but it's interesting window into how the game population's mentality has shifted.
I don't advocate anyone being a dick intentionally, but at the same time, give 'em hell, bro. Making everyone wear kid gloves makes the game predictable and drives people out (especially old PK'ers trying to get back into it) that would otherwise be driving conflict/PK interaction.
-- Grounded in but one perspective, what we perceive is an exaggeration of the truth.
I don't think anybody particularly gives a shit about Bleak attacking them. The issue seems to be running back to Eleusis afterwards and then claiming it's some kind of raid or they're aiding exterminators.

I could be wrong, but wasn't Mhaldor's exit moved a room a while back because it was a problem, too? Might be doable to request it get changed.
Mhaldor's got moved because it was the only straight shot from clouds to defendable (3x down, could force dash/gallop down from clouds) if memory serves. Eleusis' is an outlier in closeness and LoS now though. Only city where clouds exit is in LoS range of defendable as well.

Yeah, not in the slightest. I doubt Mizik cares about getting attacked, and I know I don't. This concept of baiting someone into the EI, then calling for reinforcements because "raiding" is what I think we're both referring to.

I seem to recall this to be true. I believe you used to be able to dash down to defendable, now you have to move west before you can.

A cloud of gnats flies about in stunning patterns, transfixing your attention. A cloud of gnats attempts to transfix some gold sovereigns, but succeeds only in curing its blindness.

Sorry. I would love to donate, but all my funds are locked up in gnat bonds.

The Swamis of the Cactus Clan are a mystery, a beautiful mystery. It feels like another secret organization within Hashan and I personally adore secret mob-made associations in an org.
I do believe the Swamis are suppose to represent the more 'visionary' and 'enlightened' sect of Hashan, much in the way of the once Spiritwalkers. They use narcotics to enter a state of fugue, which as we all know tends to make one's mind drift on clouds. While the ritualistic and spiritual sect within Hashan is no longer what it once was, I still very much enjoy seeing these characters around.
I would love it if their storyline and RP association was fleshed out more.
Oh.. and forest extermination all over the place. Loosis retaliated in full because that's what Loosis exists for.
And omitting the names of those defending does not an unfair fight make. I took a headcount after the fight. 11 defenders. Numbers were still in our favor, but Nocroth leveled the field with some worldburning, Saibel was straight wrecking, Proficy had 1/3 of our group dead due to radiance (because they didn't have anyway of escaping the city/entering sewers).
Props to those who defended honorably. And lol to those who were there to see me gem-rezz in front of Saibel only to die nigh-instantly. Except Kiet. I never had a reason do dislike Kiet. Now I do.
As the public side of Lady Gaia's temple is unveiled, exploration commences! From what I've seen so far, everything is really amazing and beautiful.
(Order): @Gaia says, "I shall time how long it takes you to find Mixh'lon."
(Order): @Ellodin says, "Hm!" <Insert managing to shuffle deeper into temple!>
(Order): Gaia says, "Ah. Yae is progressing!" <5 seconds later, getting kicked out via whirlpool>
(Order): Gaia says, "... Or not."
I don't think I got all of it, but the bits I was in was really pretty! Also totally matching the atmosphere since I was also freezing my butt off while exploring the pool
I'll let you in on a little secret: there are eleven rooms in the public bit. Enjoy!

I think you are onto something here. I didn't realize how much softer this game has become. Back in the day, when Mhaldorians whined, Sartan would kill them himself. Now even the Shallamese people feel sorry for them. That's all fine. I will be the one doing the adjusting. I just didn't expect feelings to get hurt so easy. I actually quite like playing nice.
Also, on that forestenemy thing. It looks to me like a massive missunderstanding. Proficy was helping Exxia exterminate, I accidentally hit the guy's shield and he runs after me to Eleusian defendeble, while I was actually trying to fight Proficy. People on CT wonder why Ashtan is helping Mhaldor exterminating. I clarify with the person involved if he was helping Proficy or not. He gets angry for even asking. That's all it is.

Ashtan - 3 moves
Hashan - 4 maybe? Something like 4
Mhaldor - 4
Targossas - 4
Cyrene - 4
Eleusis - 2
