Quick question since I haven't been around much recently. Since the new survival changes I have an extra bunch of lessons to spend and with being able to pick up another class I'm considering a change for PvE. I'm grook occultist, does that even make sense? Got a good base of artefacts from critical pendant to con regen and resistance stuff for buffing. Was leaning into Runie since I'm transed weaponry but Grook scholar don't sound great for that. Would Shaman maybe get me a little speed on bashing or is all lost?
@Dominius Each class slot has its own racial specialisation attached to it (though obviously with the same base race, so it's modifying the same set of starting stats). If you pick up Runewarden as your second class you'll be able to pick up the +2 strength specialisation, rather than being stuck with the +2 int.
Can you fill two class slots with the same class? I'd love to toggle between bash alchie and combat alchie on the lorewarden stone cooldown rather than the gem+grimoire cooldown
I would highly, highly suggest you go the gem/grimoire route instead.
You can currently buy talisman versions of gem & grimoire, and it won't be extremely more expensive to do it that way since people sell the talisman versions a lot cheaper.
Plus in the future, having a gem is super awesome, and grimoire is great too.
If you're taking up a new class just for better bashing, you could also just pick up a different class that's got better bashing and use that class to bash while having the advantage of another class for pk when you want it.
Filling two slots with the same class seems super wasteful.

I take it learning the same class would still require you to relearn all of the exact same class skills except with the increased cost of lessons as well? If so, wow that sounds super wasteful
I’m happy with my bashing, but I int spec for it which renders me squishy for combat situations, plus I need to retrait for nimble vs quick witted, guess I’ll just suck it up and bash a little slower, but I’m closing in on dragon, maybe afterward.
the lesson cost isn’t an issue, have a lot of pile-up lessons.
sounds like the answer is yes but don’t, learning other classes would be better combat wise, admittedly. Thanks
Is there anything special I need to try and participate in these games? I understand there are prizes, and I've only just started playing (came from another IRE game) and have been doing my research on my free-to-play options. I understand the XP contest is open PK, and that combined with the fact that I don't think a new character has much of a shot leads me to think I might not want to try it, but the sojourn and foozle events seem forward enough.
I don't necessarily want to min-max, but i do want to put myself in a good position to participate in the game.

For stuff like the Foozle I would make sure you're on Mudlet and have the crowd-map installed so you can get around quicker. With the Foozle and Quiz, it can often require a bit of knowledge about the lands, history, mythos, and where to find certain things.
dont commit to buying a bunch of stuff before the talisman shop refreshes, I was not expecting the death cape to come around so soon, I doubt it will come back as quickly next time, maybe the wheel will be good to me and lighten the impact.
Hey if anyone could answer me this, I am/have been forging ashtani items for quite some time, however, I am 0% the way to becoming an expert in the adjective. Could someone enlighten me on what might possibly equivocate to 1%, if a certain rank is required before mastering is an option or if I should bug myself?
Many thanks!
The Divine voice of Twilight echoes in your head, "See that it is. I espy a tithe of potential in your mortal soul, Astarod Blackstone. Let us hope that it flourishes and does not falter as so many do."
Aegis, God of War says, "You are dismissed from My demense, Astarod. Go forth and fight well. Bleed fiercely, and climb the purpose you have sought to chase for."

For how long and what have you been forging? You won't necessarily see a tick up each time you forge, and a lot of it depends on what you're forging. The bigger and more costly the items are to make, the more they typically count in regards to mastering the descriptor. For instance (and this is just a hypothetical example in no way backed by numbers), you could forge 20 dirks or a couple of full plate and they might could be expected to be worth around the same.
As far as I know, ranks are not required to progress towards mastery of descriptors you've already learned. Ranks just make more descriptors available as you progress.
Oh, no enforced monospace on card display? Will be fixed in a moment.
I've noticed this issue with the Pearls board as well.
Just in case you're not aware, problems like this should really be reported via the BUG system (HELP BUGS), not the forums. It's possible one of the devs will see your post and fix it, as they did with Skye's, but you shouldn't rely on it.
It really pisses me off when people talk bad about the devs here. They are mostly working for free, and are providing entertainment we all obviously enjoy or we would do something else. Perhaps people could try laying off and being grateful for once?
My only complaint is that bugs don't get deleted when they're fixed, so I get the decay message when I should, but I can't remember if what I bugged was fixed or not by then.

Would second Farrah's suggestion as well.

Cant sign into the game for a day or two, planning my budget
700 for journal.
Both reduced by 25% per piece you already have, minimum 2 pieces to take effect.

At the start of March this year there were over 2700 bugs in the system. This was dropped to 3 in mid April.
Since then a further 1140 bugs have been deleted and there are currently 163 unresolved in the system.
If you bug something, it will get fixed. It might not get fixed straight away since we have internal prioritisation, but it will get handled.
