Oh, that might be what I'm remembering.

Wasn't there a thread or post somewhere about which artefacts were most effective for tanking? Or am I gonna have to go work that out? :(
    Huh. Neat.
  • I have a couple posts like that (for bashing only) somewhere. The best I found with a bit of searching was this, but I think I've given more detailed information elsewhere, and that's a bit outdated since it was before artefact armour and paragons.

Cool, thanks @Sena! Will be skipping SoA and avoidance, but will stick to the rest.
    Huh. Neat.

@Sena What difference does a single point of speed, or two, make on something like doublestab or dsl?
    Huh. Neat.
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
Also, anyone know if I missed this somewhere, or if it just never happened?

I could, but probably best for Nicola or Makarios to do that! ;)

    Huh. Neat.

    Here you go

That's what I was looking for, thanks!
    Huh. Neat.

Speed doesn't matter at all for dstab (only dex, and percentage modifiers like nimble), and I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes for knights since the weaponmastery changes. The only thing I can say is that a couple years ago slice/smash in SnB seemed to be roughly 0.008s per point of speed.

So the extra stats on weapns are pretty much pointless!

if you setup a limb damage script, one point of damage could in theory effect your edge cases, so I'd be mindful of that.  Beyond that, though, I highly doubt one point would ever change a fight in any meaningful way.

Maybe for dirk. The differences in speed for, at the very least, the two dual wield specialisations are higher than for sword and shield. There's a pretty noticeable speed difference between forged and level three, then add in increased accuracy (this does sometimes matter) from the additional to-hit, and more damage plus faster limb prep from the increased damage.
  • I'm pretty sure he means the variable stat point on forged weapons, not the massive stat differences between forged and artifacts.
  • Oh, those. So pointless I had completely forgotten that was a thing.
  • What does the DRY command do in Achaea?
I keep getting "You need to specify a drying cloth to begin the drying process." ..?
  • Used to have to dry herbs to smoke them, IIRC. It was something like that. You'd lay them out on the cloth and then they'd dry, basically. It's meaningless now.
  • Does anyone know why pins can't be repaired? It's seemed like a silly limitation that makes them a pain to use for rewards and house items and such.
  • Oh no they can't?! But I like my pins :(
  • @Ada The dry command used to make herbs non-decay but you couldn't replant them anymore. No one ever used it because pocketbelts and then the rift existed and then the decay time was removed off them anyway so it does nothing.

    Yeah, that was it!

I knew it involved herbs somehow.
  • Herbs were always nondecay. But if you put one in a pipe and lit it, they would turn to dust after a while. Drying them made them stay in pipes indefinitely.

How long does Invoke Hunger (seafaring) last?

  • 3611h, 3149m, 15800e, 14645w ex-retire value
This character is not eligible for retirement. You would need to increase its worth by 293 credits.

Does this mean that if I buy 300cr and retire him, I'll have 500 set aside in retirement value?

I am not sure how long, but the best way to do it is to just keep track of how many times you've hit the beast and invoke hunger before the last one.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

You can also transfer membership credits to it, they count! (Or they did when I retired from Lusty)
