The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
Or the mallet, depending on which day it decides to be squeaky.
I've never gotten the mallet.  Could just be the way you are squeaky.

Today, was definitely a grease day though, as my post was meant to insinuate: customisation approved!

  • Does the anklet of dashing let you dash while in Dragonform?
  • Yes.

  • So what's an acceptable cool down period before I attack someone. Say if I just kill a mark or dauntless three times in a row and don't want to really make them feel greifed.

This is one of the worst forms of special snowflake RP I've ever seen. Thanks for going to another city to do it!

Kill them until they aren't Mark/Dauntless, obv.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

30m between kills is hard to argue
  • As someone who has never had a gem of cloaking, but wants to get one, I wanted to know if other people who have the gem can see you? Will you show up on mutual friend lists? And how does the gem affect you in phase?

  • ShirszaeShirszae Santo Domingo
It hides you from WHO lists in phase, so its really useful, as it wont show you as (phased) to other serpents who might also be phased.

Also no, other people with gems can't see you. Doesn't work like veils in that regard. Not really sure about mutual allies and friends though.

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.

No. No. Same way it affects you out of phase.
  • You will, however, show on TRADEWHO for members of your city, but not non-citizens.
  • Thank you! I am loving my new gem. It is what I needed!

  • No, having a gem doesn't allow you to be seen by others with a gem. House/city mates can still see you on HWHO/CWHO (and you might show up on mutual friends lists.
  • RPWHO also ignores gem, from memory., though few use it.

I just noticed that. I usually turn it on automatically when I log in.

  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
@Makarios could we get a quick rundown on how the prism works please? If there's two rooms south both with west exits, will it choose the closest or furthest? Does it -require- closest/furthest room to work, or does it just squint the closest/furthest room with the specified exit?
    Huh. Neat.

I'd like to know what the onyx stationery kits look like and the letters they produce. Has anyone picked one up yet that wouldn't mind sharing, please?

Regarding the prism for those interested

The corner you squint around must be adjacent
Trying to squint around a corner that doesn't exist will show the 'you can see no further' message instead of defaulting to the original direction.
You can squint and then squint in the opposite direction to see your own room.
    Huh. Neat.
  • New stationary kit apparently has pale vellum letters. Anyone have a full description of one?
  • Does anyone know what sort of perfumes are in the vanity cabinet?

We likely won't for a while, since it seems that they only refill once ever RL day. I've had a leather case (colognes) for over two IG days, and nothing. Unless this is a bug, @Makarios? Usually when it says "per day" in these things, it means IG days.

    an onyx stationary kit

Carved from a single block of onyx crystal and bordered with ornate gilding, this stationery kit bears elements of distinctly Tsol'teth craftsmanship. Trailing about the tenebrous surface with abandon, streaks of minute silver wire form faint figures among the unyielding dark, overlapping unto each other at errant angles in an obfuscating display. Nearly-invisible alcoves carved into the sides of the kit present a place for writing implements, namely a thin bone quill and a vial of sable ink nestled snugly together with a dark iron clasp.

    a letter of pale vellum

Bearing a stark whiteness surpassing that of even the most fastidiously bleached parchment, the sheer, bone-white hue of this letter's vellum surface strikes out at the eye. Bordered with an embossed impression of shifting, fumous shadows rubbed with lines of charcoal, the very missive resembles that of an obsidian portal peering into the light of day.

That's really awesome. So glad I waited until now to get one. Thanks for sharing!
  • Is there a scale of how filling foodstuffs are?
And if so, can someone briefly explain how it works to me?

@Xaden, there sort of is. Things like breads/loaves of bread, steaks etc have always been a lot more filling than pies, doughnuts, skewers. I don't know if there's an official guide for this but someone might have made up a table.

  • Oversized compound eyes flicker endlessly, the tiny facets in a state of constant alertness as slender antennae rotate towards each new change in the surroundings. The wasp's diminuitive mandibles hold an almost guarded position, surrounding and protecting its long proboscis while yellow and black chitin covers the thorax and abdomen of this deadly insect, terminating in a wicked stinger. Membranous wings move with blurring speed, guiding it through loops and twists in the air as it awaits its next target.

Wasp dies in a single hit for those worried about escaping it.

Turkey potpies are great for filling up. Two takes you from just about starving to death all the way to utterly satiated.

Has it filled yet, or still bugged? The mystery of the perfumes available is killing me!

Nothing yet. I've had it for over five IG days now. It'll either fill after six days (once per quarter RL day), once a month (likely around the Serenade), or it's bugged. We won't know for a while.

Seriously? It seemed like kind of a questionable purchase given the 2 minute duration on a 1 hour cooldown, but if it's something you can just kill in one hit it seems like it's definitely not worth buying.
  • It is shop of wonders.  They're not exactly meant for any form of combat.   The same thing occurred with the poppy.
