Question on the deadfall scythe (death talisman set), as I'm currently unable to log in: anybody know what weapon holder it goes into or able to check? It's a one-handed weapon, making me think either a scabbard or beltloop, but confirmation would be helpful.

The Deckhand Aura gives repair ticks a chance to repair a larger amount than usual. Do higher level Deckhand auras increase this chance, increase the bonus to repair, or both?
I recently had to commission a new falcon, and I know that when I trained my last falcon, I would send it to train and then it would come back to me and I would have to wait a certain amount of time before training again.
Now when I train it, it stays training. I haven't really been checking it well enough to see if the stats are constantly raising, but it doesn't return back to me. Has there been a change to where it stays there and progressively gets better in said skill?

I'm fairly certain when I trained my falcon (some 25 IG years ago) it just stayed training until I recalled it or it maxed out the stat it was training on.

Correct. A lot of falcon stuff has been made more convenient in general. They can't be crit, they flee even when you're dead/logged out, so they're nigh impossible to kill. They keep training as long as you're logged in.
Honestly, they've been streamlined so much that I'm not 100% sure why the training time and hunger mechanics still exist. They cost us essentially no effort to train or maintain, with no risk of their loss, but we still have to go through the motions of equipping, training, and feeding them. It's basically RP flavour, I guess.
-- Grounded in but one perspective, what we perceive is an exaggeration of the truth.
I was feeling lazy and just added 'FALCON TRACK &tar' to the start of my attacks as Knight (rather than tracking whether or not it's already doing it); falcon was too hungry to do anything in about 20 seconds. Not sure what it's like now that hunger costs have been "adjusted down".
So uh... I thought randomly going into Cities and braziering people to murder them was not allowed, for getting sanctions? This still the case, or?

Murdering an unranked newb is still pretty gross, either way.
ETA: Mostly, I just want clarification, because it seems to always come up on forums that you can't just murder random people, but it kinda seems like that's how sanctions are obtained, so I'm not sure which is actually okay!

If people walk into the raiders, then yes the raiders can slay them. If they're on the other side of the city minding their own business, then no you can't go and fuck with them. Nor can you move closer to them, in hopes they walk into you. When name highlighters are a thing, can't expect everyone to honours everyone who walks through their room. Does it suck that some newb got killed? You'd have to ask the newb in question, rather than complaining for them.
You can, if you're a jeweller. From HELP JEWELLERY:
Engraving --------- Engraving is simple once you have reached the level of Transcendent. Engravings cost 10 gold/letter to add, and a flat 1000 gold to remove.
No mention of a maximum limit. I'm also not sure the point about not being able to engrave resetting items is correct; you can, at least, engrave artefacts as far as I know. There's also an artefact (that's a bit on the expensive side for what it does):
A Tinkerer's kit: 800 credits - Owners of this nifty toolset will be able to use the REPAIR/ENGRAVE /EMBROIDER commands without knowledge of the respective tradeskills. - Associated gold costs remain.

This is false. If the newbie is not already pkable one cannot simply kill him for arriving in your room.

Technically, you can replace the word 'newbie' with character here.
