I'm level 83 Shaman, Horkval specialised for CON, trans curses, but only skilled spiritlore. Attuned with Daina and megalith tattoo... where is my willpower going??
You have philosophy? If you can't trans it, keep in mind it's the % to trans, not the skillrank, that matters. So fabled would give more like 66% the trans benefit, not the 83% you'd expect by its skillrank.
Update - btw, if you didn't notice, it's swiftcurse that kills it if I recall correctly. The attunement that helps that (is it Diana?) helps a lot.
So, bashing seems to take quite a while to kill things - each hit is only doing 2-5% damage. I have trans pranks, so I don't think I can easily increase my damage output. I'm also using battlerage attacks. Is this normal? Are jesters very slow bashers?

Level and target?
Last I checked, Jesters aren't bad at all. One of the better classes. @sena could confirm or deny.
Level 61. I tried bashing the slugs and toads outside Belladonna's Keep. I did 3% per hit and get 2% xp from them. I do around 5% to the animals in Creville and get 2-3% xp from them. Just curious if this is normal for Achaea bashing speed, or if I'm doing something wrong.
Bashing was slowed down a while back. You get more xp and gold per kill, though. Make sure to use your battlerage every cooldown and you should be doing fine.

Out of curiousity, how high is your pranks? That affects bop damage. If you're not trans, that'll help as you learn more.
And like Cooper said, are you using battlerage? That impacts the speed of kill.
Beyond that, you're level 61 so you're going to barely notice crits at the moment. They're lucky strikes at your level, and higher level crits even more so. Once you hit 80, you will start noticing them more, and they ramp up really fast after that. The formula is based off level, and is raised to the third power, so it's a pretty sharp curve once it starts to ramp up.
Oh - and not to double-post but there's a couple things that impact experience gained. Among them, the longer a creature is alive, the more experience it accumulates. This can actually add up to a nice bonus if you find something rarely hunted. From experience, the animals around Creville were usually alive when I walked past them to go hunting. Toads and slugs in Bella's were not. Two reasons - one, easy gold can be made with the toads and slugs (won't give away how! it's a quest). Animals in Creville, not so much. Also, Bella's is more well known and popular, partially due to it being much older.
Don't knock Manara at lvl 61 either. Lots down there and no target changing, you can get through those fairly quick. Buckawns too, although make sure you can clot / have moss tattoo for there.

Actually, moss tattoo alone won't really cut it. I tried it and it was pretty bitter, especially the kiddos in groups. I'd stick with Manara until you can get clotting.
@Qwyn If you have the ability in Gathering, you can butcher the corpses of buffalo for their horns. If you have buffalo corpses, and no Gathering, you can generally find people in your House and/or city who will butcher for you. Alternatively you can buy buffalo horn from people who do have the Gathering skill (TRADEWHO GATHERING).
I was just going to issue myself, but it is very possible someone here might know the answer, so I could save the admin a little bit of time.
Do artefacts purchased from the artefact cart come with the credit binding lesson bonus (first 1000 credits bound gives 2.5 bonus lessons per)? I know that when I buy bound credits from my city I still receive the bonus lessons, so I know there is a way to account for things like this.
Any there any up-to-date bashing numbers? Honestly looking to mindlessly drill myself to dragonhood and RP for a while on a new toon, and looking for a bit of guidance since OMG MULTICLASS

If you're gonna artie out, priest or knight (serp has good damage but you need to dex spec for it so you'll have 20 health). Bard and alchemist also good

Bard sounds doable. How's the bashing defensively? Able to hold their own with arties?
Knight is probably the one thing I want to stay away from because of the investment needed for weapons. It would be just for bashing, whereas I enjoy bard PvP, too (so could justify the weapon for it).
