  • It's a flat increase to all stats of the blade.  Anything you do that involves the sword, it boosts.  It doesn't effect the balance time of say, striking, but any kind of slash or impale or anything?  Yep.

The stat increases are just for show, they don't actually matter.

As @Sena says, the stats on the blade don't affect Two Arts abilities. My understanding is that the band is a flat percentage increase in speed and damage on all attacks, so with a level 1 band, your balance time for all abilities will be about 95% of what it was with an unbanded blade. I seem to recall that the numbers for drawslash balance when I tested didn't seem to be quite on the 5/10/15%, but pretty close. I haven't tested with other attacks, but could.

Do the following count for explorer rankings? It's not specifically listed in the "things that don't count" so I'm assuming so. Hopefully it's not "you should find out in-game" info, since it's a number/rank.
    1. The Chaos Plane
    2. The Pit of Golgotha rooms
    3. Nirvana / Inferno / Glade of Isolation
    4. Where Divine summon you (I know Kastalia summoned me to some throne room when she talked with me one-on-one)
    5. The moon (?)
  • 1. yes
    2. dunno

    5. we'll have a base there soon

All of 1-4 count, though it is not clear to me whether Divine summoning is a movement that doesn't count towards explorer rankings, which would make many of those special rooms impossible to explore.  I wasn't aware that the moon existed as an area that can be explored/accessed in-game.

Rooms that are destroyed stop counting against your explorer ranking (since your rank is merely number of existing rooms explored divided by total number of existing rooms), so if the special/secret rooms associated with each divine are destroyed along with their temples, you don't need to worry about them anymore.

Pretty sure being transported by gods doesn't count, so those rooms only count if you somehow manage to get there yourself.

As for destroyed rooms: Well, I'm not actually sure how this works in all cases. Not all rooms that are "destroyed" actually cease to exist. Some rooms simply become inaccessible, while yet others are re-used and integrated into new places - or at least, their room ids are re-used. Not quite sure whether that affects your room count or not. Those things are all incredibly hard to test, since we can't tell our ranking to great detail, and it can change due to all kinds of invisible reasons (i.e. rooms being created/deleted somewhere or it being changed whether certain rooms count or not).

Thank you all for indulging my OCDness.
  • Does anyone know how many lessons a player can get purely from the Trial + leveling 'till whatever the final cutoff for free credits is?

1095 lessons at level 70. 150 starting lessons (170 after the trial, since you get to level 5), 5 lessons per level, and a total of 100 bound credits.
  • Thank you!
  • Why is Falkor the luck dragon working with Dracula?
  • You have gained no bonus lessons as a result of the bound credits you just received, since you have already gained your limit of 2500 lessons.

^ any way to stop getting that message?

Ha! You wish. Though, if you wish to visit it, I can give you a really close up view. ;)

Le gasp. Does that mean that Ourania's...Dracula? If so, that's one sweeeet moon base you got there.

  • How much essence is one gold sovereign worth when offered?
I won a competition awhile ago to have Chris Bourassa paint a picture of Lodi. My profile pic is the end product. :)
  • Each gold sovereign is worth 1 essence, and you can offer in groups up to 5000, I think.
  • So if you offer more than 5000gp at a time, does that result in only 5000 essence getting recorded? I offered 100K yesterday in one chunk.

  • You can only sanctify or defile with 5000 at a time. Regular offering should be fine.
  • Phew! That's ok then, heh. Thanks! :)

  • Ah, yes, I misinterpreted @Lodi's statement to mean offering when defiling/sanctifying - sorry, @Tanris is right, no limits on just straight offering.
  • Are the servers down?
Tvistor: If that was a troll, it was masterful.
I take my hat off to you.
