The alternative is momentum classes don't have any sort of hinder and you just walk away whenever you like.

I don't remember if Apostate ever really got a counter to fly. Vertigo seems like a crap counter, honestly, given prep classes' ability to slow prep and the impossibility of sticking a focusable fast enough to do anything about that.

FLY always bypassed some room hinder (tentacles/wildgrowth). It bypassing piety/gravehands originated as a bug, but Mak decided he liked it so kept it.

I kinda like it in group combat situations, but don't agree that it's super necessary in 1v1. I don't really mind it, either, though, I guess. I'm pretty sure I would mind it as Apostate (or never fight outdoors).

Tentacle by itself is definitely not the counter to RoF. Most pure momentum classes have a more efficient anti-fly mechanic built into their kit, or a class balance that can be combined with tentacle, or access to Vertigo, or Lethargy to slow down the fly speeds. That isn't to say that these counters are always sufficient, but it would be much easier to tune the lacking classes than to abolish the mechanic

i joined targossas mostly because of @Farrah and have not regretted the decision, it's great. unfortunately, while we have a few very skilled individuals, targossas lacks the population needed to raid/do conflict as often as one would like. we have lots of great RP'ers like @Quisse @Greys @Aodfionn @Torinn and @Laniara but we could use a few more PvP'ers! join targossas!

It's extremely unlikely he would have passed out from hunger again even if he hadn't eaten the rum balls. It was a pretty standard Exelethril chest beating post that showed off him killing someone. Despite losing the first duel.

Yeah tbf, @exelethril didn't post the 4 fights he beat the hell out of me, which he could've if he only wanted to show off his leet skills. Surviving hunger by chocolate rumballs is log-worthy.

Though if he had shown the last one (where I was Apostate), that would've shown just how bad clumsy shuts Apostate down. I think half of my deadeyes combo's both fizzled, half of the remaining had one fizzle, whenever clumsy was on me. I have either terrible luck, or that proc rate needs some looking at!
