There's no automation or tracking involved, but that doesn't mean we just guessed or relied only on sicken. We agreed beforehand what affs to focus off, and at least I watch what people cure, I think Ailea and Proficy do too. There was nothing random about it, with the exception that I didn't know Prof did anorexia.
Don't go dissing just cause there's a bit of human error in a non-automated team.
I was saying yeah, whatever setup you had going for that, code, human or otherwise, worked spectacularly well and dropped me pretty quickly. Not knowing it was sicken, at least.
It's still clean, but I would've been significantly more impressed if it wasn't primarily sicken doing a lot of the work, because self-traversing capstone afflictions on a primary aff class are BOOOOOOORING.
Like if that was pure evileye tracking? All of my kudos. Don't care if it's code or human, it's done well, that's all that matters.
Man, I'd kill to trade sicken for a paralysis and slickness curse, would make things so much easier. Sicken is apostate's best way to give slickness though, so not like we have a choice but to use it, if we want to go for locks. The alternative is Daegger puncture with gecko.
All sicken did there was give slickness in the end, for the rest you can see it the same as paralysis spam. Manaleech doesn't really matter for the lock, beyond being necessary to get slickness. It wasn't primarily sicken, that's what I'm saying. It's just using the tool we have to reach that result.
Though if we had @Kythra there, she'd have delivered slickness/anorexia even sooner and sicken wouldn't even be an issue.

@Alrena Never thought I'd hear the day someone said "wtt sicken for curse par curse gecko"
Really? Sicken works the way it does to make it less powerful than curse para/curse gecko. Slickness has always been the "harder to deliver" affliction for Apostate, so it was made easier than before, but still gated behind paralysis and manaleech to maintain some of that "slickness not quite on demand."
I would think any Apostate would prefer para/slickness curses, if they wanted the strongest option.
@Farrah I would say the 20% hp per sicken once all 3 affs are stuck more than makes up for it.
That was nerfed like... over a half year ago. Not sure how much damage it does now, but it shouldn't be 20% per.
Double sicken in total is about 20%, so both curses have to hit with the damage. Taint/Decay does more than that without prerequisite affs. The biggest benefit the damage has is the third party message it gives, meaning you know slickness and paralysis are both present. Sicken damage isn't going to kill anyone in 1v1 except when they are already locked. So yeah I'd give up that damage capstone for on-demand slickness that I can combine with any other curse. I also know it's never going to happen, because it'd make Apostate way too strong in 1v1.

I dun helped a new Apostate a bunch today. Didn't get to log any but this one, the ones after that she got closer and closer to locks/corrupts. I forgot how crazy Apostate is when they get the upper hand. Almost as deathball-y as Occultist. Also taught her a lot of the reasons why I hate Apostate, aside from their speed. Hrrrrk.
Vs Kalym again I almost died cause I was dumb, and forgot to switch sip prio back to health after sparring Apostate. Screwed up lock, but madness focusing got him low enough anyway.
I have to say, I might be a bit of a Farrah fangirl from reading these forums. Could almost certainly have played A-Team side, but doesn't (nothing wrong with A-Team per se, but if all of the best people are on the same side the game is horribly, horribly lopsided), seems to quietly help out her weaker fighters when they get pushed around by some of the best... and even seems to realize that people's learning curves for getting "gud" (or even passable) at combat can be vastly different. If I ever did play Achaea again, it would be because of someone like that. Anyway, carry on!
What's the idea behind fly bypassing all room hinder as being balanced now? Forces momentum classes to waste momentum on either sticking vertigo(if they can) or tentacle while outdoors.

It gives a reliable and predictable means of stalling momentum. Some momentum classes suffer unduly because of it, but the mechanic as it exists is absolutely needed to keep the top few momentum classes in check, and they'd be nigh unstoppable without it.
