Can do two afflictions at once with Moon, which makes it comparable to torc affliction speed with respect to mentals most of the time, albeit not usable while prone/paralysed/etc.
Occultist is not meant to, and should not, have access to curare without sacrificing the use of entities at the same time. The nerf was not solely about Thoth's fang. People can barely attack against a good Occultist as is, with easily stackable lethargy AND clumsiness. No class has easy access to both lethargy AND paralysis, and they shouldn't. The hindering is too good.
I will agree that it with Lethargy and clumsiness is a huge boon, but with classes like Alchemist whose combos massacre with paralysis and their hindering rng is upped by your afflictions, it's really on the lower end, in my opinion.
Homunculus block has nothing to do with hindering your opponent's offense. Alchemist has paralysis and clumsiness, delivered together only at a much slower rate than most classes.
Occultist has lethargy and clumsiness, at a much faster rate. If given paralysis, that would push its hinder above all other classes. People can already barely attack against well-played Occultist. It just doesn't need more hinder. And venoms are unnecessary for its kill method, as well, so there's just no reason to give them easy venom access imo.
If there are particular afflictions Occultist needs access to, they could be added as instill options. It seems to be in a pretty damn good spot, at the moment, though.
Agreed @Xinna Occultist is crazy good right now and alotta fun. I wish I had stayed Occie instead of changing class then immediately going dormant for a rl year then returning to have to learn a new class from groud up. Returning to see the class that I love Occultist reworked and done just the way I would have done it myself. Old Occie was far more difficult than new Occie but really fun to play as from what I can tell new Occie still has all the fun stuff old Occie had but now can enlighten with ease. All I'm waiting for is multiclass and I will be Occultist again or if the Lotus get hit by the Renassaince. @Jinsun Yes I did fall for the dry Death tarot but as an excuse I had been and still working on learning Monks and how everything works in a real combat situation against a really good combatant from what I can tell has been playing Occultist along time and knows what he's doing. I still have alot of work to do in learning not just my class but the other classes and how they work like for instance Priest and still having trouble with Occultist fast affliction rate and no reliable way of fleeing or hindering the Occultist as Monk. Also by no means am I saying nerf Occultist I dislike nerf as much as anyone else
So serverside is obviously not handling slow properly. Why did it send smoke realgar twice back to back like that? It's also not letting enough time go by between the outr and the eat. Wasting time and curing nothing, or am I missing something?
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
This was wrack, affliction coming from sanguine pool while tempering Melancholic (Mana loss) I've never really seen this happen save for a few cases. Should I bug it? Is it intentional? Am I missing something?
Some people mention this happens after 12 humors stacked, others at 10. But I've seen this happen as early as 8 when I'm going for Choleric Sensi. It just jumps from 8 to 10. Any insight on this or something anyone?
Yea so double post because I can't edit and I'm a terrible combatant. After 6 humours, (or at least while the person is locked??) it goes up by 2. Only that humour though. Huh.

Reply from my bug report:
Once a temper is over 6 they can generate two stacks if they have the relevant afflictions
from the humour pool stuck. So you gained 2, lost 1.
Which makes 0 sense. The one I posted had temperedcholeric at 6. Affs on me were paralysis and impatience. Para is sanguine pool, impatience is melancholic pool. Then you tempered and I got +2, in that same combo you just did para, imp again.
So either this doesn't respect pools or something is seriously wrong. I can't track tempers if the class design is just plain wrong.
Being able to one-hit kill ents kind of makes orbs or dameron a useless mechanic. When you're dumb enough to just fight the ent and not the attacker, do.

^ Better example.
Do they just jump up by 2 after you hit 6? I can't believe I never noticed this before. o.O

Guess the wand doesn't block that...

It fails miserably when people focus me down so I can't change targets.
