I'm guessing most people target via PT and then just attack. That's how I'd set people up. It'd be obnoxious to hope a noncombatant can pick something as easy to miss as (Party): Rean says, "TARGET Bal'met." out of 40 lines of text in under 3 seconds.
eta: Actually, I don't love my shield. If it wanted my love, it would've absorbed both axk's and reflected the totem back onto Earionduil. My shield is my friend though. Yes, that.

I got spammed so hard by attacks when that happened that my Mudlet froze for a second or two before I was able to even try and get out (in reference to my say).

Certain members of Eleusis have admitted to triggering certain things, and it's obvious that other, separate members trigger other things.
All groups automate to some degree or another, but the more you automate, the more open you are to having that exploited. The only stupid thing I've seen so far was that Achilles -issued- when party calls were illusioned, to disallow it. If you're going to automate that shit, you should have to deal with the consequences of the enemy finding out what you do, and calling in the admin is just silly.
I think one of the best parts of the core Ashtan group is that we either trigger nothing or trigger 1-2 attacks in specific situations, depending on the person. This let's us be extremely flexible, and change how we're attacking regularly.

My issue wasn't that they illusioned a party call but that they illusioned numerous ones in the hopes of catching 2-3 people who were auto-targeting (on their own volition).
I haven't automated anything. I've even been too lazy to announce when I snipe even though it is required by the House. Also I don't understand, what is wrong with illusioning numerous party calls? That actually sounds like a smart use of illusions to me.

I think the admin ruled that party chat wasn't necessarily IC by nature. Perhaps it has to do with the "(Party):" part, it's not like illusioning other text that could appear. Who knows?!

If party chat was IC by nature our A-team party chat would all be shrubs right now. But yeah, obviously illusioning (party) makes no sense, just like using emotes in combat. Still funny it got people though!
Sorry, but illusioning target gwawr and sothantos plus all the monks enf/multislashing her through burst was one of the absolute most hilarious memories of group combat I have in Achaea.
I miss raiding with Tanris so much, even if I was new to combat when I did so. He used to keep me alive with tarot and now he kills me with it. Oh, the irony.
Also I will never be able to tell who is auto-targetting things, so I am going under deep cover as an Eleusian monk. I will convince you guys to buy me veils (seriously, who does that?) and then switch to Mhaldor. I will find out the truth and take your credits. It is the perfect plan.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
But, if you want a Mosr funny: he dropped retard on us while we cleared a 10 stack of guards.
It came up as the last guard went down.
Many deaths. Adorbs.
