Tentacle currently adds balance to your balance recovery if you're already off bal when it's used. So, that was RoF balance + tentacle balance.
When I was in the air with reflections, and was tentacled repeatedly (the reflections stop the tentacle from going through, but it still knocks you off balance), I was perma-off balance until I ran out of reflections and got brought down.
Tentacle isn't a flat two seconds normally. Doesn't a monk stance increase eq recovery (I'm a noob when it comes to monk knowledge)? Also, Ernam has diadem and could have lethal ink.

Yeah, Dragon is 10 or 15% eq recovery, so that explains how it was so fast. I should have said Ernam's Tentacle is still a bit fast at a flat two seconds. If the eq loss of tentacle is added to the balance recovery of the target, doesn't that make it next to impossible to actually use flying as an escape tactic against banish/impaleslash?

And it's not eq loss that's added. It's the balance loss that tentacle causes.
