@tharvis I specifically asked if the would support mods on them, and they told me no. Nothing but vanilla.
pity, oh well, I'll take a look after my exams

Someone on our server, @Sunny ? Maybe? Had a lot of trouble trying to buy a discounted minecraft, and ended up getting the shaft on the discounted version and had to buy the full version anyways. Not really worth the effort and potential losses IMO.
So... after discussion with some people and a generous donation from @Jacen, I'm happy to announce the return off our modded server. I'll include all the necessary info so you guys can go ahead and get prepared. I'll need your minecraft name to whitelist you guys.
That's the link for all the files you'll need for the server. Here's a step by step process on how to install them.
1. Install Minecraft 1.7.10 2. Run the Forge installer included and install the client version 3. Run Minecraft once 4. Exit out and go where your minecraft files are stored 5. Copy the contents of the mods/config folders to the folders that were generated.
You should make a pack on ATLauncher. I'll look into it if you want me to, but it basically would make it 12094812045918x easier.
Basically, once you have the pack on there you can change what mods are in it and people can just click 'update' and it will fix it, they don't have to download/change anything. It launches a special version of Minecraft with those mods specifically when you hit 'play' in the launcher.

Jarrod mentioned that we should probably move to one of the launchers to ease updating for people, especially those who are unfamiliar with mods. As such, I'm happy to announce that our modpack will be maintained through the technic launcher!
Here is the launcher you will need. Simply download the correct version for your OS and login using your mojang account.
@Kazu supposedly lowered the spawn rate of Infernal Mobs last night, but we were all still seeing a good amount of them. In fact, I personally had two zombies with Choke (LoS drowning effect) with seemingly infinite health trapped under my base in a cactus trap, so going down there was dangerous.
Kazu decided to 'lower' the spawn rate even more. As we later found out lower number = more Infernal mobs. I logged in and ~15 Infernal mobs spawned within a minute and had filled the cactus trap with the pile of the most unforgiving, god-forsaken OP zombies in existence. All of them had multiple-thousands of health, at the very least. Kazu teleported @Tharvis in so we could clear them out. Highlights include:
-Before we got creative moded, so many Choke zombies targeted Tharvis he drowned in ~2 seconds from full health. (Kazu asked if he'd showed up yet, teleported him in again, and he died again in ~2 seconds) -I got hit with so many Blast Off effects at once I passed the cloud layer going up, fortunately I landed in the water and didn't die. Unfortunately they decided Choke would be their next skill of choice. -Tharvis poured Liquid Death, a liquid from Thaumcraft designed to 1-shot enemies, over all of the zombies. They stood in it for five minutes without dying. -We all ended up spawning in Smite 5 swords so we could speed up the process, it still took another two minutes of beating on them with the best weapons in the game before they died (While still standing in Liquid Death)
Hopefully now the rate is actually lowered.

That's some story! Thankfully the mob spawn rate is lowered. I was having some awful luck beforehand, seeing how crazy OP monsters liked to spawn around my farmhouse. I couldn't go out of my door at all; monsters refused to die even in daylight.
Also, pls if any of you guys want to trade food for iron ingots, poke me. I'm able to sustain a decent flow of light meals now with my house.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
Now, just for an update on the version change. I removed Enderzoo. Honestly, it's not needed. I added it originally because I was worried that we wouldn't have any difficult mobs, but the combination of zombie awareness and infernalmobs has made it useless. I mean, you rarely even see the mobs from it anymore.
Going to tag some older/non-moddedd minecraft players here in case some of them missed that this was a thing.
@Kazu so no more godly OP fallen knights riding around on horses murdering everyone?

I can't say I play very much, but I'd like a server to play on, when I do! Pls add me: Eleneimich
Whitelisted you. The whitelist will be going away soon, since there are permissions set up that require being in a certain group in order to do much of anything. You'll have to log in once for your user info to be populated, after which I will move you out of the 'Guest' group.
For those interested, the new site for KaiserKraft server is here. This will be going live to the public soon as a vanilla 1.8 survival server, so no mods.

Our server currently faces a very real crises. While @Kazu was trying to clear out a Tainted Biome to the west about 150x150, I went to see how large the area was. On the way I found...the simplest way to put it is we're fucked.
The one that I found to the east of the first one is ~500 blocks, north to south. The widest part is ~400 blocks. For those of you who don't know how Tainted Biomes work, they expand. They constantly corrupt every block adjacent to them in every direction. The only 2 ways to prevent their spread is 1) Ethereal Blooms or 2) Silverwood Trees. Now, I think this is a pretty cool opportunity. It would take us hours working together to clear out those Tainted Biomes but what if...we didn't?
What if we let them expand, protected our bases from taint, and let the Taint spread over the entire world, essentially turning our world into some post-apocalyptic world. The only non-Taint is the areas we live in, animals and plants from outside can't be trusted. Flight or subterranean caves the only methods of travel. Remember, Taint crosses -everything-. Water, caves, every biome, nowhere is naturally safe.
Personally I think it would be really cool, and we could find a way to give new players a way to set off and build their own little place in the world. Some things everyone would have to do to get by:
*Plant Ethereal Blooms in a perimeter around your base. This prevents the Tainted Biome from passing them to cover your base. *Alternatively, build your base in the sky. Mining is the sole purpose you need to go to the ground so you could make a small safe tunnel down. *Ensure your animals never touch the Tainted ground. They will become hostile. *Don't touch the ground yourself, or you take damage immediately. *Base expansion is possible with planting further Blooms/Silverwood, but is slower.
Right now, the map looks like this for me:
It's about 1100 blocks west of me, about 1000 blocks from spawn. People closer have to act sooner, but everyone can help get the first 'victims' ready for it.
I say lets let it happen and roll with it, what does everyone else think?

Update on Magical Crop farm...it's slow going to fill it up with useful crops:
One of the nice perks so far:
I also made an 'Ultimate Furnace' that smelts an item every Minecraft tick. A full stack takes a few seconds...

Once you download, you will be able to go to the modpacks tab. In the top right will be a bar where you can type the address for our pack.

Once you do that, it will add a tab for the pack on the bar to the left. Click it, and then click install. After it finishes, you are all done!
