terraformer does influence water under a building if the terraformer itself is under the building. And yeah, I'm up for it, this modpack was a tad too easy

I haven't played Minecraft in over a year, so I'm sure the experience would be almost brand new to me. My partner and I play Achaea together, so I'm sure I could nudge her into joining as well, if you'll have us. It'd be nice to get to know more people.
I'll keep my eye on this thread to see if/when the wipe has been complete.

always wanted to try something with Galacticraft in multiplayer

Just looking at the mods in that modpack, you'd be push the ram load pretty constantly. Twilight Forest, Mystcraft, and the Portal Gun mod make a ton of lag iirc.
Also, just thought i'd bring this up, but the server rental expires in one month. I don't plan on renewing it, but I'll be happy to pass along the world files if you guys plan to set up your own server or just want them to play with.
I'd be more interested in the difficulty stuff than in any tech packs. I feel like Galacticraft just isn't viable for the server without spending more, since we're already pushing RAM with just the one world, loading chunks of planets/spacestations just seems like a bad idea.

I'll put in whatever you all want. Just remember that they need to be version compatible for the same minecraft version. Also remember, one month. @Jarrod
I think the issue with any of the 'Industrial' maps is that you become exponentially more powerful as you get various things setup, but there's really nothing to fight or do after a certain point, especially with the End dragon being a one-time shot. Most of the mods I listed above add enemies, bosses, and dungeons to the game, most of which are basically optional things you can enter or summon, so it's not like you're just dying constantly until you get to X point. The Madpack (http://www.atlauncher.com/pack/TheMadPack/) is supposed to be a difficult set of mods and includes all of the tech stuff we currently use. I think there are some things that should be removed if we were going to use it, such as GalactiCraft.
I do not know how intensive it is to run it as a client, I'm pretty sure my computer could not handle hosting the whole thing, so there's probably lots of stuff that I'd need to remove to have a shot at running it in SP, no idea how MP would affect that.

exponentially more powerful is so true ... "hey enderman, I'm going to murder you with two attacks! Also I'm flying, so you can't hit me!"

also, @kazu , how about a donation thingie, where if we want the server to continue, we just donate?

You guys will have to set that up, because I'm done with managing after this month is up. I"ll provide the world for you guys to carry over, but my involvement ends there.

@sanek the demo part looks interesting, so we know what kinds of lag/etc to expect

It's worth noting on that site that the default memory for the server is only 600MB, which I believe is a bit lower than we have currently, and just bumping it up to 1.5GB (recommended for Tekkit, and we've been mentioning even bigger mods) is a significant cost increase.

hrm, true, should start searching for possible cheaper servers or somebody we can dump the dedicated stuff on

I think Power Armor is too powerful to include, but the Force Armor mod might be just right? Who knows.
