    Would you guys rather I updated to 1.6 (which means an unsupported developmental build that is potentially full of game-breaking bugs AND will likely mean that our plugins need updating too) or would you rather I waited until a more stable build (meaning longer wait, but less chance of game-breaking bugs)?

    I'd like to play on the new update, but I'll defer to those with more extensive builds, since I wouldn't really lose a whole lot if it did crash.

    I actually recommend waiting until 1.7 for a new map, if that's what you plan. There's supposed to be a terrain update that will change the way either the way blocks are generated in the world.

    Also, @Daslin is obviously my mindcrack buddy! I'd love to copy what they are doing with their new world, but there's no way anyone else would go for it.

    Also, if you guys wait for a new map, you could store your horses in the nether when you reset the map and get them back afterwards. That will allow you to go ahead and start breeding/collecting them.

    @Kazu truth. Mindcrack boys are badass. Guude, Etho, Bdubs, Gennyb, Anderz, and good ole KurtjMac are my favs. Also, I need to update and setup a UHC map for myself

    @Daslin just make sure you use the new commands and don't actually make a hardcore map. Would suuuuck to die and have it deleted, lol.

    @Daslin I actually don't. That's probably from one of the mindcrackers I don't watch. I really only watch Etho, Bdubs, Doc, and Pyro. I was thinking you might be wanting Pamela Anderson.

    @Daslin Ah, I only recently subbed to Bdubs. I haven't actually done much playing with the 1.6 stuff. I need to take a look at it sometime soon. New zombie ai looks crazy though.

    Also, I soooo wanna play on hardcore now. I might make a single player deal so I can. Just needing potions and golden apples to recover health just seems like more of a challenge and fun.

    @kazu dude, the zombie ai is NUTS. And like, skellies got worse, I think. but dat zombie ai.... oh god. Caving so worrisome now.

    @Daslin Yeah, zombies look pretty rough. I think skeleton's are about the same as they were in 1.5. There's actually a glitch with the skellies that prevents you from taking damage. If you stand against a wall with them right in your face, they'll just shoot the wall behind you.

    Not like there's a ton of regular posting or discussion in this thread anyways. It's a nice change. I'm looking into seeing if I can figure out why mobs don't despawn on our server. If I can get that figured out, we can go back to normal spawn limits. The idea of our current HOLYCRAPTHATSALOTOFMOBS combined with the new ai is a bit daunting....

    Was just thinking, and another possible option is to go with a new map, but severely limit the size of it. I mean, go in like a 1k radius around spawn, and simply remove the boundary when the 1.7 terrain update happens. That way, we can still play 1.6 right now, and only the area immediately around the spawn won't receive the block update.

    I don't know if those working on their cities are going to want a new map with this update - we could plan it in advance for 1.7 tho, for example.

    And I will wait for a stable build! As soon as it's installed, will post.

    That works too. I was just listing off some examples of what we could do. Could be a while for a stable build though. It wouldn't surprise me if it took them more than a week.

    To be fair though, I doubt that the people working on their cities will be very enthusiastic about it if they know it's just going to get wiped out in a short amount of time due to the 1.7 reset. @Jhaeli Not that I'm advocating either way.

    FYI, just waiting for a beta release at least for 1.6.2. That should be stable enough for our little server.

    When is it gonna be updateeeed? @Jhaeli just use the ones from this list, the newest one:

    I never really have issues with them. All you gotta do is go  into the FTP files using a program like WinSCP, and delete the Craftbukkit Jar on the server files, and put in the one you downloaded from the link and rename it to exactly like the file you deleted was named. Im sure you know how to do it just letting you know :)

    Huh. I'd thought there would at least be a beta by now. I was on vacation the past week (expected to have better internet access than I did, sorry), but it seems that it's still just development builds. Do you guys want me to update regardless?

    @Zuko I know how to update, thanks. There was a reason I was holding off.
