    @jhaeli You might need to enable horse spawning by messing with the essentials config. I'm not sure if it's turned off, or if I'm just unlucky. I searched a newly spawned plains and found everything but horses.

    I extended the world borders a long time ago.

    Also, 1.7 biomes look cool.

    Edit: Also world borders big enough for a portal network yet?

    The problem isn't really the world borders for the networks. It's just that you all live so close. Portals that are within 1k blocks of each other will always connect.

    Well I moved close because before one of you guys told me  the world was too small. If it's big enough now I'll move out to the boonies and just make a portal.

    We had a scheduled maintenance this morning, so the server was down for a bit. Looks like it still isn't wanting to pop back up though. I'm looking into it now, so hold tight.

    And no, this isn't a new map. If everyone agrees, we can do a new map for 1.7.

    So Fragnet... well, let's just say that I'm not very happy with them right now. Something with the maintenance they were doing basically erased some of the files needed for the server setting program. They ended up reinstalling it on me (erasing all our settings) and now I have to reinput everyone's name for whitelisting. And I'll have to do something about the rewards system too. Fan-freakin'-tastic.

    If I'm lucky, it'll all be in the files somewhere still. If, after 48 hours from this post, you're still unable to log on to the server, please PM me. And @Kazu, if you know how to fix this faster, I would appreciate the help. Thanks.

    ETA: Let me rephrase this. Everything is reset. Sorry, that map reset happened a lot sooner than I was planning. I'm sincerely sorry, guys. I'll see if there's any way to recover via back up.

    @Jhaeli Shame this didn't happen like 2 days ago. I had an older backup still sitting on my computer. I can rebuild it from scratch in a few hours if you want me to. You'll have to remind me what all we had though.

    Just to give you guys a heads up, I'm pretty much done rebuilding the main infrastructure. I've downloaded and edited the necessary plugin configs. I left out MobArena, because that would take too long to rebuild and I'm trying to get this back up in a hurry. I'm currently rendering out the entire map within the border while I wait for @Jhaeli to get back to me. Once she uploads the files I have, It will probably be about another 20ish minutes as I set up all the correct permissions and the like.

    Another quick update. I found the old server access stuff, so I was able to load all the files into the server. I'm working on setting up the permissions right now, but they are giving me some problems and not wanting to work. Going to see if I can get them to work before I go to sleep.

    FINALLY. I finally managed to get the lousy permissions to work. Everything should be back to normalish now. I whitelisted the few names I could remember. Feel free to PM me if you need to be added, and I'll get to it as soon as I can.

    Woot, server is back up. Thanks @Kazu, keep up the good work. I like the area around spawn and the public stable going up which looks kind of neat. Had a few things bothering me 
    1. What's with the lame gazebo? It looks like a shrine for monsters to congregate around and threaten new players. It's so unhelpful can we bulldoze it
    2. If we are keeping the gazebo we make the spawn area a non-aggressive safe zone? Getting mobbed by angry monsters right at the spawn point upon first login isn't a good sign. Basically it means delimiting the area. The permissions for this are pretty simple, and I don't know what you're using but the Worldguard plugin is a popular method of doing this and it takes minutes to load. It's fairly standard on most servers I've seen, and promotes the spawn area as a peaceful place to congregate and meet without fear of being jumped by spiders or players. I set it up something similar @Zuko's server so if you need help setting this up, let me know.
    3. A less sophisticated alternative to #1 is to build a large house with tons of lighting in and around it, kind of like what we had on previous maps. Kazu mentioned that you ( @Jhaeli ) wanted to build a village or something at spawn. That's pretty cool alternative and it makes sense to have that sort of economy at the nexus of activity on the map. Ofc mobs (or me) would kill them all eventually, so again, Worldguard comes in handy here.

    Was happily playing Minecraft at 2:30 AM est but it seems like the server went down and has stayed down for a while.

    Enjoy the server overall, though. Just started back playing MC after a couple year break.

    Yeah, I'd love to get a mini-town going around spawn with walls and enough light to essentially be monster-free. It may or may not stay in the same spot as where it is now. (If I can find an actual town nearby, it might be fun to build it up from there so that it has an actual population.) Thinking that this could be my contribution instead of building another tower that I never get around to finishing, lol. I just don't have enough time to be on. 

    On that note, again, PLEASE MOVE AWAY FROM SPAWN TO BUILD YOUR HOUSE. Even if the spawn location changes, it's best if everyone spreads out.

    Again, our whitelist was reset so if you can't sign in now, lemme know so I can re-add you.

    @Jhaeli There's a small village just over the mountain in that plains. @halos checked it out and called it sucky.

    It is sucky and small, you can have it. However, the nicer village I moved into further south I lit up with torches and built a large wall around only to find all the villagers dead the next day. #kazu'sfault

    I am probably going to build up the southern desert village and see how long they survive against the zombie invasions.

    Just put in a quick update. Main changes are:

    -Installed Grief Prevention

    Use this plugin to protect areas of land you want to build in. Placing a chest down will give you an initial 10x10 area, and you can resize it using a golden shovel on the corners. You gain more claim blocks by playing.

    -Installed MyHorse

    This plugin makes 1 of your horses invulnerable to damage, meaning you can ride him wherever. You can also teleport him to you.
