    • got to level 50 ish and embraced as a rogue serpent
    • for the amount of people I rolled past, @Farrah from Targossas was nice enough to tell me about their city (as I was looking for somewhere to belong, so yay.
    • Had this letter from the people that helped me (from the Brass Lantern as I was a rogue), that I couldn't drop or get rid of, so sending letters was hard.
    • issued myself, was told to char it. It was barely comprehensible and couldn't do anything with it. A thought occurred to me as I joined a city to go to THEIR tavern.
    • Finally finished the cultist conspiracy quest at level 55 heh.


    So far so fun!
    I punched my desk when I realised I'd lost some easy experience doing that quest ~level 70. I just went to bopalopia and bashed the hell out of cats until 30 then manara until 80. However, I have a little Mhaldorian alt I'm intending on exploring heavily to hunt, but after I learn combat on sylv so I can migrate to her for some fun from time to time.

    Sweet jesus im loving transoceanic orbs. I just wish they didnt fade after 500 rooms, but I suppose all great advantages need to have some sort of downside to them.

    Yeah, I really like the direction sea monsters are going. I only hope the rewards are high enough (or are buffed to be high enough) to keep interest alive once the novelty and new feature smell wears off.

    Rave for the way the renaissance integrated the cities and houses. I've gone back and forth with how I feel about that over the years, given that I used to love certain things about crossing city/house factional lines and how factions were much less neatly separated by ideology than they are nowadays, but lately I find myself really loving the fact that the purpose of the houses is essentially to build up and support the city to thrive. Not that the houses don't have their own identity, but that that identity is tied into the city's vision - I think it helps to clarify our purpose. And I think it's unified the city as well and made it a much more enjoyable place to be.

    This came to mind because I'm talking to a new protege about house advancement, and I remember when I alted once in a Cyrenian house (pre-renn) and failed the interview and was asked to leave because I said I'd prioritize the city over the house if asked to list priorities (and supporting the city was one of the first things in the house's stated ethos, so I was confused by that). Although I loved the way things used to be, I really love the direction we are going as well and I find it much less confusing and easier to define the houses' purposes. I know we have gone through some growing pains in the renn and some of the houses are struggling with purpose and building community (and I was a skeptic for a long, long time), but I am starting to have faith that it's a step in a good direction.

    @chris @amranu @kasa @Rinku for giving Hashan some backbone I've not seen since @Firey was splitting people in half back in the day.
