Haha, like what @Kaevan said, Mhaldor shines the best when we have active gods and violence. Everyone can take part in killing, regardless of whether you're a novice or an experienced person. The people raiding are also great, because they know when to cut back. (Some of them.) @Quei, you are awesome.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"

  • I like how they're discussing their strategy where every single person can hear them, including Mhaldorians/Ormyrr
  • Maybe part of their strategy is to fake strategy talk on shouts to confuse the enemies.

  • Gainax Ending confirmed.

Tbh, this whole thing is a no brainer. There are only three of these dudes and Babel's not on qw because he's gone to pact Golgotha. This will be over soon.

BABEEEEEEEEEEEL, YOU SHOULD HAVE THROWN AEON TO DELAY EXPLOSION.

Haven't had the time to really play much since this event began, and not a huge event person to begin with (they're usually a little too hectic for me). But I've really enjoyed reading the event news and keeping up as much as I can with what's been going on in game. Rave to all the Gods and volunteer man hours that have gone into this, it's stuff like this that reminds me what a dynamic game Achaea is, and knowing that is a big part of what makes the game enjoyable for me, even if I'm not present for some of the big things when they happen. Keep it up and can't wait to see how the story progresses.

                   Party right, party hard,

                                            Sing and dance, perfect bard.

                                                                     Prefarar loop, accentato whore,

Buy a new rapier, get nerfed some more.

Yeah. Pretty pissed off that the main thing I've developed Cooper's RP about in the last 100 IC years just got destroyed. I don't know if I'm gonna stick around or not, that is pretty ridiculous. Dormant orders being destroyed, w/e, but an active order with ~10 active members and an active, important divine? That is just ridiculous.

Fun event.  Reading some of the raves above some people are having a hard time understanding the frustration.  Personally if I was Mhaldorian I'd be thrilled.  My patron just killed off a bunch of gods, we got extra guards creating a bottle neck into the city and a invincible dragon killing monsters swooping in from time to time.  On top of that, outside of the few marks, you don't lose anything from dying inside Mhaldor.

On the flip side some people have lost their patron/orders and all they can do is kill a bunch of respawning denizens to enact justice/revenge.

  • Theeere's the bitterness.
  • I think all this is pretty damn awesome and unexpected. Now I can't help but wonder how far this will all go.

I'm guessing this will be a pretty big blow to the Shallam side, though, in regards to players. Losing divine, losing battles, less disciplined... I predict a return to the Shallam of a few years ago where raiders will come for the lulz and most Shallamese just shrug and leave the city until its over.
  • I will toss out a bone and rave for everyone raiding Mhaldor:

You could have EASILY dragged on the raid for another 4-7-howeverdamnlongyoufelt hours, but you didn't. A couple hours of pounding us in, wiping out the guards and totems, let out some frustration, then bowing out all together. Restraint against defeated foes = pro.

    Thanks for the fun, everyone.
  • I thought the raid was pretty humorous, from sitting in the party with the huge raid group. I tried to pay as little attention to it as possible, as it was understandably full of spammy obnoxious at times, but watching the decisions to dive guards at super stacks instead of using other methods, and the ensuing deathsights. Hearty lolz all around.

Sniping Carmain while Tanris/Sohl warped him in the giant raid group in gatehouse, and watching the vengeance deathsights was a highlight of the night.

Entering Mhaldor sewers, hitting totem without totem defs, and seeing Torr pull out his rapiers while deciding whether to attack me before running off made me laugh too.

Humorous night, and good on Mhaldor for rolling with it and getting everyone around involved, even if they weren't with the main 'offense' group of Carmain/Tirac/Dontarion

What bitterness?  I think the event has been fun.  Just saying the "raiders" role has been a bit murky.  Was expecting more to happen when we raided since we were told by divine to do so.

  • pff. hate whoever is playing shaitan :(
  • Suicide rushing giant entrance stacks is more fun than strategically picking off small stacks, imo. If you're going to go in, you go all in.
