Rangor's new public post. Short, sweet and menacing. I was just talking with someone oocly earlier about how it sometimes seems like Nature never gets involved in the big, worldwide things (I could be wrong there, of course). Plus, I just love this sort of stuff. Players RPing on a large scale, trying to make things happen and drum up interest in their factions, and doing it all without a divine holding their hand. Good show.
I want to do this. But in order to do this, we must do an Achaean one. @Tecton/@Sarapis can run around throwing fake lightining bolts at people, @Sartan can toss doll Daemons at people @Ourania has to toss moon rocks at people.. and so on and so forth. Whatever class you are, you must throw/build attacks as thus. THIS MUST BE ACHIEVED.
@Caoimhaen if they gave me a nerf bow IG I would laugh so hard and run around shooting people with it! However, it must look like image above for it to be worth it.
My point of view: You pull an arrow from your quiver and nock it to your bow. You train your expert eye on Greys and let fly an arrow with breathtaking precision. Your arrow strikes true!
@Greys point of view: An arrow flies in towards you. It strikes you, bouncing harmlessly off you and making you question the skills of the archer using it.

Excited to see @Alrena become Speaker, I think it keeps Eleusis moving in a good direction - she's always been very good and fun to RP with and fight against, gracious in victory and defeat alike (which is more than can be said for a lot of folks, probably including myself).
Like, pretty sure that no one in Mhaldor knew we were even going to take part in the CTF until 5 mins before it started, but the attitude throughout was top notch, and it made the experience really fun for once.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
For anyone who used to be around in Mhaldor in the old days like Carmain, Herenicus, etc., it's a pretty stark difference, and this CTF was -awesome-.
We used to just get SMASHED in world events, to the point where it felt like the only thing we could do is hinder Shallam/Eleusis/Cyrene and help Ashtan win to spite the Goodies.
Being a relevant city and having so much participation was really fun.
I came in late because I overslept so I missed the beginning, but I was here for the middle and end. I was really surprised at the number of Mhaldorians we had, and how well we all worked in concert (not only Mhaldor's main team) to defend not one, but four other locations, two being adjacent hill rooms- and not just defend, but aggressively attack other flag locations as well.
Some Mhaldorians were game enough to sit out of the action to defend locations while the rest of the city went on skirmishes. Props to @Milenka especially, for being a team player and being willing to sit at our riskier hill (Tasur'ke) for the whole CTF length to defend it with 4-5 people at most points.
One thing I'll also comment on though: the event was much more fun in between cities without the main Ashtani team present.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
Thank God. Don't make me lead like that again. Though, I do wanna thank @Klendathu and @Jinsun for taking control when I stepped away and took the serps out for fun. Even without the a-team, it was fun. Frustrating when some stupid shit happened, but it was fun.
To all who participate in events that can be difficult to get into, I salute you. To those who help in these events in any way, thank you. To the rest, let's keep it fun.
