Oh noooooo, this thread isn't supposed to have animals in it!
My soul...
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby

(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
I grew up watching those Superman movies and still get a tingle down my spine when I hear the music. Margot was also a supporter of Mental Health charities. RIP.
On Saturday, I'll be going to a memorial service for someone who was not famous at all. This person was a Buddhist in Minneapolis, a woman who challenged herself to never complain. A few months ago, her spouse brought her to a hospital because of breathing issues. It turned out to be leukemia. This woman was in that sort of pain, never complained, never gave even her spouse any indication that all was not well. And then she died.
The worst part for me is, her spouse has nobody else. This is a woman I've known for over half my life, a woman disowned by her parents when she came out. At least she has a kitty, so she won't be all alone.
Agreed. Didn't usually agree with him politically, but having met him in-person, he was a good dude, pretty down to earth. I wouldn't wish the suffering he went through on anyone. For such a spoiled rich kid, he had a difficult life - and he still dedicated it to serving his fellow man (again, even if you didn't agree with him). He did more than most.
This part of the obit hit me, and I think the basic core of it is one that most of us share:
Asked how he wanted to be remembered, McCain said: "He served his country, and not always right -- made a lot of mistakes, made a lot of errors -- but served his country, and, I hope we could add, honorably."
In not so many words: "I did not always do right, but I did the best I could."
