R.I.P. my kitty. There's a pic of me holding him in another thread on these forums. He's been gone half a year now. I spent all my money and my sister's money getting his bowels unblocked again and again after learning he had pancreatitis, which the vets said wasn't curable. The final time... put him to sleep OR one more bowel fix, followed by agony for him next time, when I couldn't afford to do either.

I am not getting another cat. I miss getting purred to sleep, but I don't miss pained cries from his litterbox that meant another vet trip. No kitty equals no kitty suffering.

Yeah I will have to admit to being utterly shocked when I saw his name pop up (as opposed to Charlie Daniels who was older, or Carl Reiner). He seemed like such a genuine guy too.
