I will help with moving away from cigarettes, because I am vain about my hair.
I think this is a good trend, I encourage it. :D

I've started using apple cider vinegar as an additional rinse (with shampoo and conditioner), and it has made my hair almost entirely frizz-free for the first time.... well, ever.
I love doing apple cider vinegar as conditioner with baking soda for shampoo. So great for your hair! Looks lovely too!
    meh

Not many people smoke anymore. I wonder if cigarettes are going to come "back in style" one day?
They need to just ban smoking outright, so I can go to tobacco speakeasies, and become a bootlegger like my grandpappy.

    Tan, your hair is gorgeous.

@Jules don't make me become a nicotine-runner.... I'll do it. I SWEAR I WILL! Gramps on both sides were rum-runners, I'm sure I'd do their memories proud.

Haha, blonde is my natural hair colour. The ginger was lots of work and upkeep.
  • I am surprised that no-one has made a Tania/Daenerys comparison yet.

Spilled growth types things generally look pretty good, I find. (Says the guy who's never done a day's gardening in his life.) Can't wait for pictures after they've grown some.

Call me crazy but somewhere in the back of my head is the memory that someone has.
  • That's probably why then. As per usual, I'm late to the party. :)
  • Wow, I wish I looked like her. Emilia Clarke is beyond gorgeous.
  • You're pretty gorgeous yourself, @Tania

    (Omg, a Tasleus!)

@Hayte, there was one, and it was upstaged by Luna Lovegood I think.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

  • Maybe it's just because I wish Daenerys would die in a fire (hah), but I'd vote for the Luna comparison.

I am so happy every time someone out there shares my opinion. I find her so annoying, 99% of the time. The most recent episode was the only one where I wasn't like "SHUT UP, DANY" every time she appeared on-screen.

Since I moved into my own place, I've been wanting some time to get started on my front yard.  Well, I had some time off before heading back to work and decided to make a start.  I'm no gardener, but I'm quite proud of the job i did.

I planted carpet roses in the pots with the hope that, over time as they grow, they will spill over the sides.  The one in the front is amber and the back is scarlet.  The rocks are rocks I dug out in another section of the yard.

Missed some weeds along the fence line of the bed... Just saying

Went out to the local Fish House last night for some food and entertainment. There was an Aussie band called Longreef playing, so wanted to check them out as well. I'm drinking a concoction a friend showed me, a pint of Guinness with a shot of Bushmills in it. I don't care what it sounds like, it's good.

    image

My friend photobombing. This band was pretty cool, on stage and off. They ended up giving me a signed cd, and I didn't even ask. Free music!

    image

On another note, while out working in the yard today, I just barely thwarted this assassination attempt. Honestly, I wouldn't have killed it if I had seen it earlier, but I looked down and saw it just as it was coiled up to strike. Lifted my foot just in time, and...perhaps a bit recklessly, brought it crashing down on its neck. Damned Serpents.

Annnnd, also my blueberry bushes are looking great this year. For some reason they didn't produce anything at all last year, nor did the fig tree. The year before that, everything did great, so this should be a good year. Going to plant a garden as well while I'm at it.

Arguing with a zealot is only slightly easier than tunneling through a mountain with your forehead.

It's my profession. I live the dream and spend my days sewing and making jewellery :D And no, not IoD. I go to several throughout the year. One day I will become a trader, but I enjoy playing too much at the moment. The skirt looks beautiful, @Katia, the fabric is lovely.

  • @Ourania that's my intention too, normal sewing most of the year, fest larp sewing in the season
