Yule is upon us, my brethren. And for this I have brought photos!
My fancy livingroom. My fake fireplace is broken, thus I have to resort to this toasty at on my TV.
My sugar cookies. I like the blue tree at the bottom most and my blue candycane. As you can see I tried and failed at decorating the little cookie men. Never again. Hahah.
So been trying to figure out a way to keep my white couches clean since we've entered the 3/4ths of the year in vancouver where it just rains non-stop. I take Luna out 1-2 hours a day for long walks or trips to the park, and she's great. Once she's dry dirt just falls right off her.. Onto the couch. She likes being wrapped like a burrito when she's wet but there's never a way to get her completely covered..
UNTIL NOW! Behold, my burrito fox. This bag is magical. I stick her in it and she sits on the couch all happy with that crazy grin (or look of despair) and in ten minutes or less she is pretty much all dry. And I get to laugh at her.
More christmas baking! I make these every year, the cupcakes and frosting are all made from scratch. They're coconut-vanilla bean cupcakes with coconut-vanilla bean buttercream frosting (and yes, they are damn good- in fact I think I will eat one now).
And me just laying around all casual (not) in my christmas PJs. My nose is pointy.
@Sarapis Haha! Luna does that as well after baths! Anything blanket-like or towel-like she will find and aggressively nuzzle it until she feels like she's dry enough. What kind of dog do you have?
Well, no way of knowing for sure as both the dogs are rescues, but I'm fairly sure Chairman Mao (in the video) is part long-hair chihuahua and part papillon. His personality is all chihuahua though (stubborn, protective, unaware that he's small, and willing to go after anything, including a mountain lion one time).
Chairman Mao! He's not a cat! He's the namesake of the biggest mass murderer in history. And he prefers to feast on the souls of elder demons, but failing that dog food works pretty well. Or, you know, almost anything remotely edible.
@Sarapis I thought I saw some papillon in there! That's great you have rescue dogs. My cats are both rescues and I foster dogs once in a while from high-kill shelters in California. Recent one was half American Eskimo (like my dog) and half pitbull I'm pretty sure. He was incredibly sweet, got adopted only a month after having him. Was sad to see him go but his new owners are amazing people.
Happy Festivus everyone! It was a great holiday, and the feats of strength were particularly epic this year, not to mention the aluminum pole. Such high strength-to-weight ratio.
Got a lovely bottled of vodka for Christmas so threw in some cranberry juice in with a splash of apple pucker A good thing I'm not the exterminating type.

Here's what one of my dogs does after a bath.
Mmm. Pastrami and capicola, for instance. Little mustard, pickles, maybe some aioli. Nice bun. Tasty.
Am I taking you too literally?
We are not sober in this picture.

Pretty much asking me to get sick.
