Finale of the month-long festival we've been working on at work. So relieved to have it over, but at the same time, it was a pretty good ride.



Nobody told me most people would be wearing black, soooo...I kinda stood out <_< but I blended in with the red carpet so that was ok.

Here's some eye candy for the ladies - my deputy editor! One of three hot guys (the other guy is a fellow writer) that I work with every day. And I'm the only sub-50 years old female in my office.



My hair looks a bit funny, I know - it's tied up with a flower on it.

@Jurixe I take it the job overall has improved? The transition sounded pretty rough at the outset, but you look like you're enjoying it more, now.

Thanks.  You know how hard it was trying to get that through customs.  Trying to explain to the customs officer it's nothing but a simple, concentrated yeast extract spread...they just didn't seem to get it.

If you're referring to the huge rant sort of post I made a few months ago, that was actually my second job - I left it after a month because it wasn't what I was looking for. I'm now a Features Writer at a magazine, which also happens to run one of the biggest food festivals in the country. It's not exactly easy here either, but it's something I love doing so I can't complain too much. Also I got to dress up, which was nice.

Wish I could show you guys my beard in its full glory. Military won't allow it though. Maybe next time I take a month or so of leave I'll share the 1 month beard.
