Some people must be tired of the slew of pictures I usually post of my vacations, but I know there is an equal amount that enjoy them, and it's fun to share!

This was probably one of my favourite vacas yet, because it included my birthday and an endless supply of wine; I swear to God there was not a single day that went by that I did not consume wine, but I enjoyed every drop of it. There shall be detox - lots of it - the coming weeks. It was also special to show my friend Cape Town for the first time and see her reaction to each tourist sight. There are so many pics, but I chose some of the better ones to share:

A nice panoramic shot I took whilst I was on Signal Hill. On the far left you see Cape Town stadium - one of the stadiums that was built especially for the FIFA World Cup that we hosted a few years back. Table Mountain on the right, obviously, and CT Central Business District in the middle.

My first glass of wine on my vacation at a restaurant called Brass Bell. The restaurant is built on the natural rock and receives the occasional wave crashing against its foundations, which causes sea spray to cool the guests.


Mulderbosch wine farm, they also serve the best pizzas I've ever tasted in my life. My favourite is the fig, blue cheese, and honey pizza. Their wine tastings are also very varied.

We also visited Asara wine estate, where I tasted my very first white Cab Sav. If you don't know why I bolded white, you don't drink enough wine and we can't be friends. All the wines estates were so pretty, with lakes, and mountains, and bees buzzing about the flowers, and ugh.


Drunk picture at Spier wine estate. We did a chocolate and wine pairing tasting here; had the most interesting flavoured chocolate to accompany the various wines and learned a lot in the process.

Another photo of Cape Point, the scenery is truly breathtaking and these photos really don't do justice to the beauty of the place.

I did some exploring upon the various rock pools at the beaches we visited along the coast and found the really unique and interesting beauties. These two stuck with me.

And lastly, had to take one with my boy. Was one of the many strolls we took on the long stretches of beach that is renowned to Cape Town. This particular beach is called Strand.

Oh, nothing fancy. I use my Samsung S3. If the colours look 'off' in some pics, it's because I post most of my stuff to Instagram (addict).

So THIS is the reason @Asara left Achaea.  It all makes sense now.  Also, really, a white cab sav? Wow, that's actually pretty cool.

Strand is also a word for beach in English, probably a loan from Dutch.

There is nothing like a holiday in the Western Cape. I am partial to the west coast myself, little towns right on the beach and that cool Atlantic breeze in the evening.

@Achilles totally would if our apartments didn't have an extra deposit for pets (I swear the kids do worse than a puppy ever would.)

@Sarapis I think that person just called you a square... a mythic rare square to be precise. It's a catch 22 really. Zap them and they're proven right. Ignore it and they get to sit smugly believing they got one past you.

None of that matters though because in six turns you get to reboot Achaea.
