Goodness. This has the potential to be a long list. Let's see.
My beloved @Order, who keep me sane when I want to burn a whole load of trees. You're possibly the most understanding and relentlessly supportive group of players that I've had the pleasure of working with.
@Eleusis, for driving me insane for three straight years. It's a challenge, but it's a rewarding one. There's a lot of people I could list here for being wonderful, but you all know who you are.
@Mhaldor, for being badass and branding me. That was a great deal of fun.
The @players in general, for being the heart and soul of Achaea. Watching you enjoy what we create is a ridiculously rewarding experience, and makes all of the tricky stuff (hello, broken code!) entirely worth it.
The @Garden as a whole, for a great deal of things. Though, there are a few volunteers who deserve a special mention.
@Ourania, for so, so much. For your sheer determination, for your continuous support, for sending me pretty jewellery (no, seriously, it was gorgeous). For everything, always.
@Aurora, for being a pillar of sanity amongst the madness. For everything you've done over the last year, and more, you deserve a medal. Or seven medals. Or a hundred medals. No amount of medals would be enough. Oh, and of course, for sending me fudge.
@Phaestus. Just... @Phaestus. You were an absolute inspiration, and gave me so much support. Love you always and miss you loads, you drunkard.
@Lorielan, for allowing me to bounce ideas off of you for hours on end, and for being my side-kick in all things proofreading. Also, for helping me with The Kitten Fiasco, and all manner of things related.
@Makarios, for putting up with my continuous stream of ideas that should be implemented. Oh, and for then implementing them within about a day. You're a machine, and I adore you for it.
@Sartan, for throwing much-needed energy and inspiration my way, when I'm needing a pick-me-up. Also, for being my partner in crime in all things literature.
And, finally, to @Vastar. I have no words for how unbelievably supportive, understanding, and reassuring you are. It does not matter what I say, do, ask, or otherwise, you always have my back. Love you more than bacon, my little rage monster.
Ok, lets see if I can get this done: @Ryldagh@Jasaadi for showing me that sometimes taking a step back from the one aspect of the game you've been a part of for 7 years is really what you need to make the game grow. I miss being able to interact with you guys as much as I used to but sometimes changes are needed. @Sarapis @Tecton For teaching me that one little $ and ^ Makes a difference in coding in mudlet. @Aurora@Deucalion@Havyn@Davio@Daeir@Caoimhaen@Shunsui@Platonus@Rohai@Tibitha@Cadarus@Ruca@Reonna@Draqoom@Halos@Carmell@Aodfionn All for giving me a chance. Thank you guys, I've actually become more involved in the game than ever and I can't wait to see what's in store for me.
@TMC clan you guys are awesome, most of the time. I'm thankful for having you guys to blow off steam on.
Anyone else I missed, thank you for interacting with me. And thank you for everything you've done to help me become the person I've turned into. Thanks!
@Jurixe For being almost as badass as @Sartan, and because I still wish I could have been your protégé.
@Ruth Because she is the one who got stuck with me after I left @Jurixe and went Legates. Also trusted me with a Ministry. Fwahaha.
@Aegoth He's creepy, and he holocausts our own group a lot, but he also drops retardation and silence, so I guess we need him.
@Herenicus@Taraus You two make a good team and help to make Legates awesome.
@Milenka Leading Legates and being open to suggestions and contributions from members.
@Florentino Even though you betrayed us and ran off to Insidium. Bastard.
@Cresil For doing all the truelocking work for me when you're around. Sing limerick. Oh, they're locked. GG. That was easy.
@Kuy Because he's a p cool guy, even though he wastes literally thousands of magnesium.
@Cynders My ragey, violent protégé. . No one else has stuck around with me as their mentor.
@Herose Pretty much the only one badass enough to repeatedly ask for people to kill him while marked for death, rather than sneaking around and avoiding conflict.
@Taraza Cause she always engages with me. Idk why. Who wants to talk to a bug?
@Hasar@Xer If only you were around more often. F u for being gone.
@Chiam For leading things while @Xer and @Hasar are poofed, so I don't always have to.
@Proficy Always willing to run into any battle. And the dude learned what afflictions are. Wow.
..who keep me sane when I want to burn a whole load of trees.
You know you really are just a secret little fire starter deep in your big foresty heart, Gaia... I'm sure Sartan will help set it free if you don't mind though!
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
Alright, now that I'm not in a meeting and pretending to care about PM problems.
@Targossas is pretty damn amazing. You guys have managed to make me feel included from the very beginning, which made me want to stick around. You've managed to get me completely hooked on this game (for better or worse).
Im too scared to list people because I know I'm going to forget someone.
Also to the (few) heretics I've had the opportunity to interact with. Thank you for making life interesting!
And then lastly to everyone on the forums (does that count as "in achaea"?) thanks for keeping me entertained when I cant log in.
@Tibitha and @Yae! I have -never- had character art for any of my characters before... ever! And I've had a lot of RPG characters over the years. Having two completely amazing pictures of Ama is hard to even put in to words. Thank you both so much!
I'm especially grateful to the team of Mhaldorians that stuck around when it was at its absolute worst. There were many issues that forced a lot of people to jump ship, or just seek greener pastures. However, there were a dedicated few who stuck around and made things great once again. It took almost two years of facepalming, but they finally did it.
While I don't have much time to play anymore due to work, I am thankful for my friends who still chat to me on skype as well. Very good friends and bonds have been made in here, and I love each of ya!.
I'm thankful that I have a home in Ashtan where I feel like I belong.
@Khairt for our marriage that's lasted forever so far and probably forever still. @Dunn and @Jarrod for all the love and support that's allowed me to not only survive the last year ICly and OOCly, but given me the strength to make some really massive life changing decisions. @Nemutaur and @Trey for being such awesome friends. @Bonko and @Earionduil for the grounding, the laughs, the insanity, the late night conversations, and being two of the most amazing if not most misunderstood people ever. Sorry for ruining your credibility of being douches. @Jhui for being the text-father that I've always wanted and being all sorts of wonderful. @Paine for being a life-long friend who's never changed. @Mizik for being fun and being so hawt.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
I come back from Thanksgiving celebrations and saw myself mentioned here. I hate you too, @Aodfionn and @Jarrol . But seriously, thanks to you both for making things interesting for me. Other honorable mentions would be the Vorondil family for being a badass, Diaspora for putting up with me, Cyrene for their weird Cts that crack me up, and all of the Targossians that I accidentally speak cyrenese to over tells.
@Mhaldor, you have made volunteering in the garden a sheer pleasure. You suffer better than anyone else. I've seen you rise to new heights, pull together when things get rough, and persevere through difficulties. I wouldn't trade you for a million dollars. Well, maybe for a million.
@players in general, we have the most amazing player base I've ever encountered. Keep doing what you do.
As for the @garden, we're a crazy bunch and I wouldn't have it any other way.
@Tecton you work too much, we're all thankful for that. Also, I'm thankful in advance that you'll let me someday create an island empire.
Talismans. They keep me addicted to bashing so that I can gather the gold necessary for the 2,000 credits needed for a veil that I'll likely not get in favour of other arties if I can ever figure out what one's I'd rather have. Of course a veil would come in handy, too. ._. these goddamn talismans. At least my obsessive tendencies go well with my addictive nature.
Wow this could become quite the list..lets see. I'm thankful for my friends most notably @Sylpheria she always makes the rp epic. @Nessy has been a wonderful inspiration, and has started helping shape me into a better person. @Ellowyne for all the memories. Never ever underestimate a good memory. @Lauria for being a great daughter love ya kiddo. @Garden for making Achaea a place I want to come to, and enjoy myself. @Scarlatti because He's epic, and has been a huge inspiration to Sunny. @Divine, because what is a good time without a Divine showing up and stealing all the glory. Keep doing what you guys do, because we love You all. @Tecton, because if he had an Order I'd strive to be head of it. @Tecton you've done some amazing things, and I'm grateful for the chance to see how you shape the world. That said..there are many of you I didn't mention here, and I know that you all know who you are. Thank you for being such good friends, family, and weirdos. Love you all!
It's been an intense year, not just for me, but most of Eleusis, I'd say. Still, no matter how bad it got, there are some very special people that make it all worth it.
@Exelethril the text-fiance. Almost the entire year we've been playing together, and I'm still having fun every moment we hunt, raid or just talk! Most of all, thank you so much for being supportive whenever things got rough.
Text-kids! @Vyn@Demetri@Etoile and @Kopeshku for all being incredibly fun and supportive. And also weird in your own ways, which is good. Normal is boring.
All the Leath-ri for supporting the ideas I'm throwing out, and your willingness to help make them happen. Also for trusting me enough to make me Speaker. Never would have imagined I would end up as a cityleader when I started Alrena two years ago!
@Rangor deserves special mention for being incredibly fun to raid and talk with. Eleusis would not be the same without him.
@Gaia for being an amazing Patron. You've done so much to make Eleusis feel alive again with all the expansions and the Charter, and pushing us when we hesitate to make a decision. On a more personal level, you are far beyond supportive for Alrena and I couldn't be happier to be in your order. Thank you so much for listening to all my ideas and giving great feedback to improve them further. I wouldn't be where I am now without you, that's for sure!
So many people in @Eleusisfor standing behind the changes this past year, and embracing them completely. Your support, determination, unity and willingness to just take that leap of faith has made this incredibly fun for me, before and after I became Speaker. Eleusis has a lot of amazing players, and I couldn't be happier to be Eleusian!
I believe I will share what I am thankful for given the spirit of things.
@Xinna I like bugs and hush. I enjoy the encounters that we have and so far I think you are making an excellent Minister.
@Xer I find it enjoyable to put our ideas together to come up with new ideas and structures. You are fun to work with as well. Keep it up, you're doing great as Dreadlord.
@Mycen for always being supportive through these years.
@Harmonia being the crazy old hag that I can always count on to lend an ear when needed.
@Sartan You perhaps know exactly what the biggest hurdle was that I was currently going through in Mhaldor. Yet, you still took the time through ways to correct the obstacles and hurdles that were causing issues not only for me but more importantly for others. That to me, is going above and beyond and is something that I am definitely grateful for.
I'm so grateful for @seftin - he always knows what to do to cheer me up, genuinely makes me feel so welcome and is always a challenge to fight against and try and win.
Lets see.. what am I greatful for this year. To all of those who made my many years in the Naga ones I will never forget. @Herose, @Saibel, @Cresil, @Florentino, @Eloru, @Suladan and kept me sane during the house changes.
@Taraza for being there to listen a lot recently and over the years
@Roroan although sleeping now, for keeping me sane for most of the year. such a friend is hard to find
All of those in the Legates, you guys are amazing and keep me rembering why I do enjoy playing still.
@Merador you make me laugh and keep things intersting, My Meradorables.
all the Xanatovs, or most of you love you all to death.
All of Mycen's kids.. @Nemutaur, @Eloru, @Taerral.. those awake anyway.. You guys have kept things fun and dying to you Nem is always the hightlight of my day.
So many others to list, most of them know who they are.. I look forward to seeing what the next year brings and hope you all have a great end of the year
I'm a little late posting this, but I had to say something anyway. tl;dr: I love just about everyone playing, since you all make this game worth playing in some fashion.
For real though, you are all kinds awesome and I wish I either had a whole lot of time to play more than just Kei seriously or could be in like six Orders. You're also the first contact I've had with trying to set up a submitted RP thing that I haven't just played through using illusions etc., and you have no idea how horrible my anxiety was waiting to hear back. The fact that you also made me not feel like a total idiot for it helped a lot, too.
@Scarlatti It's not an exaggeration to say you had a huge impact on Kei's life at this point, one which she still holds fondly to her heart. As for me, hell, I wasn't expecting it at all and whether you know it or not, ended up cheering me up, too.
@Garden Everyone else I've not mentioned...you all are awesome and I love you. (More Bydar please. )
@Lianca I never got to talk to you more, and I regret that now that you've left. No idea if you will ever see this, but you helped me so much understanding things coming back, reorient myself with how things in the RP work again...and I'll always remember that first Logosmas gift. Thank you for your immense patience while I found Kei's voice again, even if she ended up not staying, and I hope whatever you've moved on to is at least as enjoyable, even if it doesn't have a Bravi'osmas.
@Sybilla My friend in depression! I could never hate you, even if Sybilla and Kei don't see eye to eye ever at this point.
@Carmell@Ainia@Kyttin@Ayleth You guys, more than anyone, know just how bad I can get emotionally some days. Thanks for always being there for me, to reassure me and keep me going, even when some days I can barely function. Specifically, thanks for all the hard work getting Kei into Targossas, even if it ended up for naught, Carmy, and Ainia, I hope someday you'll have time to come back and play again.
@Marina Text-wife And always staying by me, regardless of the stupid things I do.
There's more I'd love to give a shout out to, but I'll save my extremely long one for a grand year-end rave later.
Bydar, a garish-looking trader says, "I'm not a man, I'm an experience."
Hrm.. Just figured I would take a minute to thank one man who has made 2014 incredible for me.. @Davio
When Houses were brought to Targossas in March of 2014 (Another thing I am grateful for, the amazing Dawnblade and city @Deucalion and @Aurora have put so much time into), Davio bravely accepted the role offered to him, to be the first House Leader of the Dawnblade, the Guardian of the Blades.
I did not know Davio well before this, only had noticed he had recently begun stepping up as MoW at the time and working hard to improve the combat of Targossas. It's hard to describe how our friendship progressed, but I suppose we began talking more between Davio and Zuko, and working together in an attempt to offer more opportunities to members of the Dawnblade. Anyhow, we ended up adding each other on skype for easier communication, and moved on to more OOC chatting from there.
It hasn't necessarily been a rough year for me OOC, but one with many changes and health challenges. Even though we didn't really discuss these things particularly, I always knew Davio was there for me if I needed him, and he taught me so much inside of Achaea and outside. He is extremely kind, caring, and not to mention generous. Davio gave his all to the Dawnblade and Targossas, and though some of his hard work may have gone unrecognized by others, it did not by me.
Okay, I suppose after reading @Kayeil and @Kadin's tearjerking start to this thread, I was like I need to join in with a soppy story of my own. But the bottom line is, @Davio you are a great friend and inspirational role model to me, and look forward to having you back around at some point!
I know this was meant for Thanksgiving, but I'm going to hijack it anyway since it's a new year now.
There are lots of things I have to be thankful for in Achaea about 2014:
- A great team of admin and volunteers that put in a huge amount of time and effort to make the game fun for everyone. @Sartan especially for Mhaldor, and more recently, the two new demigods. I know people (myself included) complain sometimes about stuff, but I am grateful for your willingness to contribute to player enjoyment and improvement of the Achaean world.
- A good crew of enthusiastic, dedicated players in Mhaldor that, despite whatever differences they may have and ruffled feathers sometimes, genuinely just have Mhaldor's best interests at heart and are ultimately willing to work together for it. I've had my fair share of disagreements and dislike with/of people but that doesn't lessen the value of their time and work, which I am grateful for. Running an organisation really is a group effort and you can't do it alone. Though not always pleasant, conflict is better than apathy. It means someone cares enough to object.
- In relation to the above, meeting great new people who have become awesome friends and maintaining strong relationships both ICly and OOCly with old ones who have characterised my Achaean experience on Jurixe. You all know who you are, but giving a special shoutout to @Ruth for being an amazing friend in the text world and the real world. She multitasks like crazy and I don't know how she does it. @Carmain because he lets me play Dragon Age even though I haven't even had time to do the browser select thing. Also @Tirac needs to come back and play with me. And @Sabiru. @Ellodin gets a special mention here as well because fluffy.
- The Nithilars. I have had a lot of fun building the keep, gathering together a solid core of good players and starting new traditions and history that will hopefully live on for a while. It's been great watching you guys grow up and I hope you can continue to build off that!
- Many events and projects that managed to be run and that I think people enjoyed. The Tournament of the Silver Claw, the Mayaween Sacrifice, the Trial of Illumination, and I'm sure there are more that I'm missing. More than anything I love being able to explore crazy ideas and create events for people to enjoy and I have been very privileged in the past year to be given more or less ultimate freedom and support in that regard. It is a ton of work, but to me, it has always turned out to be worth it.
- Being given the chance to help found the two new Houses in Mhaldor. I know it's not perfect and is still a work in progress, and I know perhaps it's not to everyone's liking, but I think we did the best with what we had. What people need to remember is that an organisation's summary may define your path, but you are the one who creates its stories, its reputations. In this we are all pioneers while the organisations are still young, and in a world as old as Achaea is, that is such a rare privilege. I am sorry that time and life constraints prevented me from putting in as much effort as it deserved, but I have every faith that the current leaders will do an excellent job.
- The theatre and bistro being built! 11!!11!!11
- In terms of the world at large, just all the players who work so hard to make Achaea the vibrant, ever-changing, always interesting game that it is. All your plans, your stories, your actions, your words, your roleplay, your time - all that affects people and, by extension, the game. It is change. It makes the game what it is, and that is amazing. Even if you think it might only have the most minute effect, sometimes the smallest things - a simple word, an emote - can lead to some new inspiration that, in turn, leads to something huge down the line. So everyone that has ever done anything to contribute to the game, thank you.
- And finally - perhaps most incongruous of all in this list - finally making the decision to step back from Achaea. The danger of Achaea is that it is such an addictive world and so fascinating that it really is almost like a second life. You want to have an impact on the world, you want to build a reputation, you want to be a game changer...all that requires some significant time and effort investment, which can lead to genuine addiction. It was my social and entertainment Neverland for a very long time, but now that responsibilities in real life are piling up, I've been forced to step back - and I'm happy about that. It allows me to prioritise doing what I like in Achaea when I get on, and it means I take the game less seriously and continue being able to enjoy it as it should be - for fun. I am not likely to ever play as much as I used to - though I still will be around some! - but that's okay. I still read forums!
tl;dr Achaea was awesome and will continue to keep rocking.
Happy 2015 to all of you in Achaea! I hope the new year brings bigger and better things for you all!

Finally @Mhaldor and those that I did not name. It is near impossible to name every single person. (If I did this would be an incredibly long post) But others would be. @Orzaansyn, @Carmain, @Falthus, @Arador, @Saeva, @Kelandra, @Ulrike
I'm looking forward to what brings a great 2015
That's it.

tl;dr: I love just about everyone playing, since you all make this game worth playing in some fashion.
Kohai @Rohai, @Vithincus, looking forward to another great year!
