In America today it's the holiday of Thanksgiving, and though we may be thankful for our families and friends and many other things in our real lives, I was wondering what everyone might be thankful for in Achaea this year.
This year I am most thankful for
@Kadin. Meeting him was a huge turn around for me both IC and OOC in a really bad year, and he has been very positive and amazing. I wouldn't even know where to begin, he's done so many small and large things that have been great, and I'm looking forward to whatever comes next for both of us.
I am also super grateful for my small group of very close and fantastic friends. They know who they are, and they have always been there for me. Achaea is definitely a great place to form long lasting bonds, even if they are over large distances.
This list wouldn't be complete without mentioning how thankful I am to have Lady
@Pandora as my Patron. Without House or city I have found my Achaea family in Her Order, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I enjoy Her sense of humour and Her wild ideas and plots. She can be a great friend when needed, and She's an amazing Divine to follow. She also put on an amazing wedding for Kadin and I. I knew it would be amazing, but I had no idea just how amazing she could make it be, and it's something we'll both always cherish and remember fondly.
I'd also like to thank all of the people behind the scenes, the admins and volunteers, for making Achaea what it is and for keeping it going. In a high tech world where graphics may seem king, this game still lasts and allows us to really use our imaginations to make a highly player driven world.
What doesn't kill you gives you exp.

One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
@Kaie for continuing to be the best IC husband and OOC partner in crime I could ever have hoped for.
@Achirmst for his steadfast friendship. Whatever rants I may have melt away like a snowman in 80 degree temps when he's around cracking "Hot" quips. He was the perfect person to inherit the Curia because he's truly been a balancing force in Bluef's life.
Without getting into a huge list of IC names, I'm also thankful for several players who I've met, spoken to, and interacted with IC and OOCly through P9, Taverns, Shamans, Rogues and Wanderers, Guardians of Moghedu, and Keepers of the Song, who have made this year of gameplay so much more interesting and enjoyable.
I'm also thankful for my Order and people like @Darktalon, @Ashavarti and @Samakhulis who are always fun to be around. We inspire each other IC and I think that's the best thing an Order of Dreams could ever do. @Valnurana continues to be a mainstay in Bluef's life and for the initial inclusion in Her flock, and continued support, I will always be grateful.
Finally, I want to thank @Tecton, @Makarios, @Edrak and whoever else had a hand in bringing Spiritlore to Achaea. It's a long-held dream come true.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Album of Bluef during her time in Achaea
My textkids, they are all so supportive and helpful. @Drakon for being the best kid ever too.
and finally I am thankful for @Riley who has stepped up to being K's best friend. He has also been teaching her that she doesn't need to work so hard.
oh, and Cyrene. I'm thankful for the city and her people because without them I would not have a place in Achaea that I feel comfortable.
Would also like to thank all of my friends who have helped guide me along the way. Whether it be in combat or just general advice. @jhui, @Fendrel, @Seragorn, @Dunn, @Josoul, @Qwindor, @Hirst, @Mizik, @Jinsun, @Merador, @Kross, @Skarash, and any others I may have left off.
Lastly I'd like to thank all of the administrators and players for all of hard to make Achaea what it is today.
Hope everyone enjoys the entire holiday season and gets to spend it with loved ones. Take care!
Miles, @Khaibit, for giving me potash.
@Bluef for skyrocketing my RP in a direction I enjoy.
@Jinsun for being a fancy gentleman lawyer.
@Jonesey for his rendition of The Amazing Business Dragon.
@Jhui and @Nemutaur for not killing me as they walked through my room a million times while hunting.
@Vicious for maggot vivisect.
@Daitya for saying hi to me once.
@Balkin because shaman.
And of course for the Shamans clan who I hope gain some benefit from my crazy shaman ideas and shaman stuff I share with them.
Yet you cannot be thankful for all of this stuff, without being Thankful for the City you are in! Am I right? So Hash....oh yeah, Eleusis! for being a fun atmosphere in which to push my RP in a nice foresty direction so I may not bathe for any length of time and roll in grass and get twigs in my hair, because this is truly what we do in Eleusis obviously. TREEHUGGING 2014!
@Ravien for throwing things at the shop when I run and allowing me to run it.
@Minxie for letting me work East Zone and @Lannah for taking over when I felt my electrical work wouldn't allow me to do all of my Achaea responsibilities.
Everyone who helped Trade as aides and otherwise and everyone who helped in the group hunts.
The denizens who got in my way to becoming dragon after 270 ig years.
The Admin for maintaining Achaea and the crew who put it all together.
@Parnashri for being an amazing fiancee. Still not sure what I ever did to deserve someone like you and hope it continues for years to come.
- Rave for life events occurring in a way that let me come back and play the game.
- Aurora. I say it often, but I don't say it often enough. Having an active divine is rad. Having an active divine who actually cares a hell of a lot even more so - and then you have Aurora, who is like a force of nature. She is an absolute gem.
- Targossas. While I could have been treated like shit upon my return to the game, I got nothing but warm welcomes and lots of friendliness from the players and characters in Targ. Whether they have been small conversations or turned into relationships that further define my character, I could not be more thankful for the group of players I get to kick it with. Yeah, we ain't perfect, but y'all my homies.
- Thankful I've had the chance to get to contribute a little bit to the in-game environment.
- @Linus and @Kyttin for giving me a Ram's Horn.
- The Wintermournes.
- The Diaspora. People seem to talk a lot of forums shit, but the Diaspora is easily one of the most interesting organizations filled with some really cool people.
- @Jeslyn
- My Bloodsworn.
- Quality enemies like Orzaansyn, Herenicus, Xinna, Sybilla, Klendathu, and so many others. I hope you all enjoy our interactions even half as much as I do, because you guys are fun as hell.
- @Rangor, because yes.
- @Halos, @Daeir, and hella othera for helping me figure everything out on the fly
- @Kyttin, she knows why
Thanks for a kick ass 2014 in the game, folks. Here's hoping you a very best in 2015.
On that note: @ruth, @saeva, @kross, @carmain, @xer, @hasar, @orzaansyn, @melodie, @xinna, @taraus, @herenicus, @jurixe, @harmonia, @milenka, @florentino, @ulrike, @khairt, @kuy, @Ellodin, @Rangor, @SARTAN, @kenway, @aerek, @jhui, @jinsun, @mithridates, @caoimhaen, @otherpeopleomgthiswineissooooogood.
My number one person, and the person who has not only helped me in shaping Jarrol as a person, but been there the whole time is the ever-wonderful @Caoimhaen. Seriously, you are amazing.
@Aodfionn is also honestly kick-ass. Nobody can motivate Jarrol more than the hulking troll of a man and his wonderfully spoken words.
Targossas in general has also been amazing, with people that are very welcoming and nice. Same with Cyrene, where I have made a mountain of friends who I adore, such as Wymer, Aurielle, @Trilliana, @Jeslyn and many others. I will also include Aaiden in that list too.
@Davio,(seriously one of the reasons I stay in Targ), @Jarrol (awesome ig son), @Aegoth (you know why) @Aodfionn (awesome sauce person who even though we fight all the time you mean a ton to me), @Kendrick(you are a good friend and inspiring), @Deucalion (my chosen divine.down me care and I thank you for it.) , @Dairune(you are literally one of the only people who keeps Caoi same at times), @Trilliana (good and a great friend), @Iskla ( because you are awesome) @Cadarus (moral support. Combat and a bazillion other things), @Ruca, @Achimrst (helping me get on the path I am on today) , @Sunny ( bein a good friend), @Orzaansyn (yes even you), @Tharvis (even after your betrayal), @Bluef ( same as achimrst cuz you are my auntie ig), @Aelios (for teaching me quite a bit and making me the kick ass monk I am today.), Targossas in general. . @Admins and all the people behind the scenes. There are others I am sure but I can't think of them right now.
Speaking and doing stuff with my IC adoptive family has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have had in this game; its brought me together with quite a few other Mhaldorians. @Chiam @Suladan @Crixos @Carmain @Sherazad @Mishgul @Falthus@Jurixe and @Vrah and those still gone but not forgotten, thank you. Also much love to the blood family, and those formerly in the Naga, I see you all kicking ass and I can't help but smile.
Mhaldor remains still an amazing place, thank you to the ministers who keep it running smooth as butter, thank you to the new Houses, and the Achaean community/staff I hope you have a lovely thanksgiving. Don't eat too much!

My interactions outside of Mhaldorians has been mostly positive and I am so glad to have found such a really awesome community of gamers who just allow their imaginations to create an experience I did not expect to find when I made the MUD switchover.
Achaeans far and wide are such an enjoyable group. The staff is also stellar!
As a whole you all won my heart over big time.

@Cynders - You've seen Ama at her worst and stuck through it. You're wonderful and amazing and don't change. I hope going forward I get more time with you.
@Daslin - Okay, it may have been a pretty new event, but all the work you've been doing with Ama has been one of my favourite interactions the last week or so. Keep it up, I'm so excited to see what you have planned for her!
@Klochild - Creeper! Thanks for all the discussions and being sort of scary.
@Carmain - My first Mhaldorian I ever spoke to! TALK TO ME MOREEEEEE!
@Cresil - You really took a bad moment recently and turning it into something interesting. Thanks for that and I hope it isn't the last time.
@Cyrene in general for all the support they've given Ama in everything she and I have tried to do. I my city even if ultimately I abandon it Kidding! Probably.
@Virtuosi in general for basically everything I said about Cyrene. I hope I never disappoint you guys!
@Theobroma - Thanks for reinforcing a side of Ama that everyone else just sorta skirts around. You keep her as she is in a lot of ways and I really appreciate it! I don't wanna grow her up to soon and miss things! I hope they may actually get a chance to have some face time for once. XD
@Caoimhaen (so hope I spelled that right) - We've had few interactions but I've really liked how you talk to Ama, it's very educational and I'm looking forward to expanding their relationship if they get the chance.
@Bluef - I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to the scene coming up!
@Scarlatti - Not only a total babe, He's given me two CFs for things I really love doing. Thank you for ICly supporting my Ama with things she wants to do!
@Tecton - All the questions I asked and you just kept reassuring me I was fine. Thanks for your patience. I you forever.
@Sarapis - You made the game. You continue to talk to your players. You are infallibly hot. Thank you for being so wonderful and giving such an amazing gift to the world!
@Achaea in general because I have yet to meet a bad person! Some people I might get frustrated with and others I try to avoid but you all are so amazing and so wonderful and I hope we can all go forward to making 2015 the best year OUR game has had so far!
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
I'm also bad at speaking things, so if you think I'm thankful for you, go ahead and feel good.
Whether or not they are unnecessary or avoidable, I really struggled a little at times as Tyrannus this year to keep the atmosphere in Mhaldor as fun as I could for all, and that goes the same for people who interact with Mhaldor and her citizens as well. There have been many people who have helped to offload some responsibility on my shoulders and keep me sane by easing the amount of frustration I feel, so I thank you for that.
@Sartan has been an awesome enabler and a scary voice of reason and guidance. Thank you for putting up with my incessant emails and for being so active. Never go away, please!
@Tecton, thank you for this and last month or so of work and guidance on the new Mhaldorian Houses. It has been difficult from the get-go, but your advice often did help in shaping the outline and progression of the organizations. Thank you for putting up with my 2578644753 messages thereafter, bugging you to change this, add that, make this work and fix that. Much appreciated!
I am thankful for the friends and relations that I have made in Achaea that goes beyond the boundaries of the game. You do not know how much I treasure your friendship, even though I may not have physically met some of you. I won't name names because I'll be prone to leaving out a few, but you guys should know who you are.
Happy thanksgiving, now go enjoy your turkey or I will steal it.
Friends old and new, supportive and understanding. Even @Daslin for making Trilliana think so much about what she really wants.
I've been having a hard few weeks and my time in game has been what has gotten me through all of the problems I've had.
For everyone I've interacted with, even shortly, I really am thankful. You all give me something to look forward to every day.
@Caoimhaen Thank you for just talking to me, even if your character is having the issue, it keeps my mind from my own. (And even if all you want is food)
@Amarillys you are the biggest sweetheart, I love Mari to death and would really do anything for her.
@Kerria for being a good friend, even if we're both grumpy butts.
@Kotaru and @Saralynne you two are utterly fantastic. I haven't had such an emotional RP moment since Selene died and it really made me want to keep going last night.
I'd say more people, but right now, it's all I can think of, but thank you all.
@Spiritwalkers - Not really 2014 relevant, but nonetheless I feel like mentioning you all here. My first love in Achaea, so to speak. I miss you all to pieces, and I regret being so timid when I first started playing and missing the opportunities I had to interact with some of you.
@Orzaansyn - If I had to name a single person I miss from Mhaldor, it would be you. There are many reasons for this and you know them. You are incredibly awesome, and my only hope is that we can slowly begin interacting once more.
@Natliya & @Teghaine - Blatantly cheating by including you both in the same bracket. I can't imagine how things would be if I had not met you. That there was a time when I did not boggles my mind. You are awesome and sweet and caring. And a little crazy, too, but that makes it all better. You can't possibly imagine how much I care about the both of you IC and OOCLY.
@Naga - The house that made me really care about Mhaldor, and not the other way around. You all had a great impact on me and shirsz, whether we talked much or not. Playing as a serpent with all of you was wicked fun. Keep on being awesome.
@Cidusii - Stop hiding! You are so silly, but there are hidden depths to your character, and you surprise me each and every time I shamefully forget about it! Seeing you about always makes me smile, even if sometimes I am just too tired to do much of anything about it.
@Lilian - You are a very big reason of why I still continue playing this game, and though our characters have had ups and downs in their relationship, I have fond memories of almost every interaction. I really hope we'll never grew so distant as to no be able to enjoy playing with each other. You are awesome, never doubt it
@Scarlatti - I miss you so freaking much, for some many different reasons. You are awesome, and I still continue hoping you'll come back. Some of the most memorable moments I've had while playing were with you or one of your controlled denizens.
@Scarlattans - You guys are all incredibly quirky and endearing, and have cheered me unknowingly on more than one occasion when I was feeling pretty terrible OOC.
@Amarillys - Some of the most intense roleplaying moments I've had were with you. More than probably anyone else right now, you always keep me on my toes wondering what will happen next. The skill you have to make your character come alive is almost unrivalled
@Cynder - Really miss interacting with you. The mix of silliness and seriousness in your character verges on an artform, and makes interacting with you incredibly engaging. You also had the patience to put up with my quietness, and that cannot be understated
@Tharvis - Last, but by no mean least. Seeing Tharv's and Shirszs' relationship grow has been really interesting and engaging, all the more because it was so completely unexpected. You are very gentle and earnest, and quite frankly cute and I really appreciate you putting up with me.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.
Star Wars COULD be boring...but it isn't. Here's why I don't tell people that I'm talking with an NPC. Oh, and I never actually met Ethaya, but her comics are absolutely amazing!!
