Stretchy cotton makes up this simple yet flirty shirt. Running down to just below the bust, it leaves the stomach bare, offering a view of the wearer's midriff. To contrast the revealing nature of the bottom, the neckline of this shirt raises to the collarbone and the sleeves run down to the wrists. The top of each sleeve, however, runs along the back of the hand in a triangle, coming to their point over the middle knuckle. The edges of this otherwise plain shirt come hemmed in gold bands that draw the eye.
Appearance:
a demure, yet flirty, knee-length skirt
Dropped:
A crumpled skirt lies here, forgotten by its wearer.
Examined:
This skirt is the picture of flirty while still maintaining a demure air about it. Soft, unpressed pleated blue cloth falls in gentle, rounded folds to the wearer's knees. Attached about the flat waist of the skirt, which rides a little low along the hips, are a series of belt loops. A gold band runs along with bottom hem of the skirt for a little added flair.
Appearance:
a golden belt of leather
Dropped:
A shiny leather belt lies forgotten on the floor.
Examined:
Cinched tightly about the waist to ensure the wearer does not lose their clothing, this belt of shiny leather, dyed a soft golden color, is all about style. A simple square buckle consisting of two pins that fit through various holes along the length of this belt allow for adjustments for nearly any size.
Appearance:
crimson thigh high leather boots
Dropped:
A pair of thigh high boots rest unused here.
Examined:
Supple leather dyed a rich crimson runs up the length of the calves and about mid-way up the thighs. Clinging tightly to the wearer's legs, they display and complement every curve. The thin leather is sturdy, able to bend at the knee while keeping the legs warm. The top of the boots sport a gold band and the soles have similar.
Appearance:
a crimson half cape with a golden hem
Dropped:
Even on the ground, this crimson cape still looks flashy.
Examined:
Running down to just the small of the back, this crimson cape is all for show. Thin cloth attached at the shoulders with a pin on each side, this flashy garment needs nearly no wind to flutter and dance. A silken band of gold runs the length of the capes hem, pushing the garment dangerously close to ostentatious.
Or basically...
Longer skirt, longer boots, shorter cape. No shield. Otherwise, this.
Logosmas came early at the Coldraven household, thanks to Sarta Claws and the generous creativity of one @Taraus Bravi'os. I'm consistently blown away by how much and how well she writes in the time it takes for me to get started. How long were you working on these?
a brushed leather trench coat
A pile of black leather has fallen here in a hastily discarded coat
Encasing the wearer in a sweeping shroud of opulence, the stygian leather used to craft this sweeping coat has been relentlessly oiled and brushed, giving the tanned hide a subtle sheen. Wide lapels span the sharply cut shoulders, and the nip and tuck of the side seams give the lie of custom tailoring. Falling to the ankle in a dramatic drape, the shifting shroud of ebon swirls with each movement of the wearer, lending flair and style to his gait. Polished obsidian buttons trail down the front, and a thick belt is held by loops on the sides and back, a burnished steel buckle finishing off the end of the strap.
a bespoke formal jacket in heather grey
For want of hanging, a gentleman's jacket has been carelessly tossed aside.
Broad shoulders and narrow lapels cut a dashing silhouette in this formal gentleman's jacket, crafted from a sleek linen dyed an elegant shade of heather grey. Draping to end midway on the hips of the wearer, hem and sleeve are sharply stitched, the exact fall of the cuff betraying the personal tailoring. A single pocket adorns the left breast, and two burnished steel buttons, each engraved with a 'C', gleam darkly against the cinereous fabric.
a single-breasted waistcoat of cobalt
A rumple of cobalt wool betrays the presence of a waistcoat here
Crafted from a proprietary blend of Putoran lamb's wool and Tomaculan cotton, this single-breasted waistcoat has been dyed a rich shade of cobalt. Falling in a deep vee over the chest of the wearer, the same lines are mimicked in the cut of the front panels, each dramatic plunge complimenting the figure of the man beneath. Four burnished steel buttons hold the snug garment in place, and a concealed pocket is stitched into the seam on the left.
a collared shirt of ivory silk
Neatly folded, a silken shirt has been set here
Yards of the finest orbweaver silk have been used to sew this exquisite collared shirt, the fine material a pristine ivory hue. The rippling fabric refuses both wrinkle and spot, encasing the puritan beneath in a clean, sleek shroud of eburnean luxury. Precisely cut, the lay of the collar and exact length of the sleeves betray the custom tailoring of the garment. A neat row of polished ivory buttons march smartly down the front, nearly invisible against the similar shade of the silk.
tailored heather grey trousers.
Once-pressed trousers have been flung here in an untidy heap.
Clean, sharp creases define these exquisitely tailored trousers, the cut and hang speaking to a custom fit. A careful blend of the finest threads results in a luxurious material, the fine fabric falling from hip to ankle of the wearer in a stately embrace of heather grey. Flat-fronted, side pockets are concealed by an expertly stitched seam, and a single, hidden button of burnished steel allows for simple closure.
cobalt dress socks
A pair of cobalt socks have been forgotten here.
Comprised of high-quality cotton, these men's socks have been dyed a rich shade of cobalt. Reaching mid-calf, the toe and heel have been reinforced for durability, and thickly cushioned soles provide comfort for the wearer.
polished shoes of ivory leather
Aligned with fussy precision (oh, you), an immaculate pair of shoes rests here
Relentlessly buffed to an immaculate finish, these gentleman's wing-tips have been crafted from ivory leather, carefully moulded to the exact size of the wearer. A dense, alabaster sole extends nearly an inch below the heel, affording the wearer a slight, inconspicuous boost to height. The front tapers to an unforgiving point, and the white cording used as lacing blends seamlessly with the pristine oxhide.
burnished steel cufflinks
The glint of cold steel betrays the presence of a pair of cufflinks.
The cold gleam of steel and cobalt winks from the wrists of the wearer, the finish of these smart cufflinks dulled only slightly by a careful burnishing. The flat surface of each button-like round has been monogrammed with a clear 'C', and nestled deep within each engraved curve, miniscule sapphires throw brief refractions of a startling blue spark.
a pocket chain of burnished steel
A gentleman's pocket chain has been placed here, the linkage arranged carefully.
A must for any gentleman's wardrobe, this neat pocket chain has been expertly crafted from the finest steel, the burnished finish boasting a dark, sinister gleam. Favouring the single-drape style, the rope starts with a simple rod, allowing the classic adornment to be threaded through a buttonhole. From this dangles a small flattened pendant, the Sign of the Seven engraved upon the stressed charm. The opposite side of the slinky linkage ends in an ornately wrought locket, the round piece small enough to fit in one's palm. A clever, springloaded mechanism allows the lid to swing open on a hidden hinge, revealing a neatly-lettered calendar within. A masculine, handworked cartouche on the exterior surrounds the central debossing, the ciphered, calligraphic 'H.C.' enclosed with a dizzying array of decorative chasing. A separate disk of polished silver has been tucked inside the lid, this surface affording a place for a sentimental engraving.
No one's done any cooking yet! Here's my first attempt basically ever.
Appearance:
a dainty dessert sandwich of raspberries and chocolate
Dropped:
A dessert sandwich is here, wrapped in paper for safety.
Examined:
A pair of delicate wafers play host to thinly sliced chocolate discs between them. A simple raspberry sauce pours over the chocolate and soaks into the wafers, colouring the entire sandwich a pinkish-red colour.
First Eaten:
A gush of raspberry sauce fills your mouth as you bite into the wafers, soon replaced with the taste of chocolate.
Third Eaten:
The smell of raspberries fill the air as $eater quickly devours their dessert sandwich.
Taste:
tastes strongly of raspberries with a chocolate aftertaste.
Not something I recently designed, but it no more -sniff- For those who know Klendathu in game, all his customisations are on the theme of ice, which fits with his backstory as former Chieftain of the Northlands tribe of xoran (this is all pre-Prin)
a veil of living ice
Creating a small pool of crystal-clear water, a veil of living ice slowly melts away.
Strands of living ice have been extremely finely spun to form a translucent fabric which glistens in the light. Small droplets of crystal-clear water constantly form on the surface of the veil, obscuring the wearer's features. The edges are trimmed with fine mithril thread, and the veil is studded with innumerable sapphires of an exceptionally deep hue and clarity.
Tharos, the Announcer of Delos shouts, "It's near the end of the egghunt and I still haven't figured out how to pronounce Clean-dat-hoo."
an unyielding, obsidian blindfold with two buckles
Dropped (long_desc)
An oddly-contorted leather blindfold lies abandoned here.
Examined (extended_desc)
Dyed a midnight black, this hardened piece of leather almost gleams with the dull lustre of obsidian as it loops and criss-crosses about the wearer's visage. Upon its surface, the lightly tooled intimations of a myriad symbols from disparate religions, all pertaining to sight and insight, have been combined with haphazard artistic vision, only to be appreciated when the light hits at the right angle. Holding all in place, twin elaborate buckles of reddened silver and sharpened steel rest at the level of the cheeks, each allowing for some small measure of adjustment in the overall fit while ensuring the curious garment does not stray unbidden away from the covered eyes, nor is taken off lightly.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

For some reason, I feel like that oddly-contorted blindfold is going on an oddly-contorted person.
@Klendathu Mine are actually fire and water, but yours are awesome. I'm at that awkward point in which I look at a design and wonder 'am I done? Is there something wrong with it?'
It's not like I can actually customise it right now! I'm broke!
I'm at that awkward point in which I look at a design and wonder 'am I done? Is there something wrong with it?'
I'm at that point from the moment I finish the first draft to the moment the customisation is actually applied to the item, then I always feel like maybe I should have worded things slightly differently after that too.
In preparation for the Knight changes and switching weapons, I designed a scimitar:
APPEARANCE: a gleaming scimitar with a hilt of ivory
DROPPED: Its ivory hilt covered in grime, a gleaming
scimitar has been thrown aside.
EXAMINED: The long, subtly curving blade of this scimitar
has been forged from the finest of steel. Increasing in width approximately
two-thirds down the back edge of the blade, it tapers off again as the forward
cutting edge curves up to meet it at an excruciating point. Razor sharp along
the full length of the forward and the last third of the back edges, it is
intended for both slashing and thrusting attacks. Pristine ivory has been used
to fashion the hilt, the splendour of the material offset by the
otherwise plain design. Shallow grooves have been made in the grip to ensure a
secure hold even when coated in blood and sweat. A simple S-shaped cross guard
protects the wielder’s hand and wrist. An image of a dragon, glowing with a
soft silver light, has been engraved into one side of the blade just above the
hilt. An engraving of a phoenix that radiates a muted red glow mirrors it on
the blade’s opposite side.
Just have to decide what other weapons I'll be using (probably battleaxes, unless they provide some mechanism for switching specs without paying lessons every time), design those, then re-design scabbards.

QFT. I still feel that way about my shield and staff.
A steel tiara lies here, marquise ruby vibrant against an obsidian backdrop.
Examined (extended_desc)
Composed of blackened steel, this tiara thins out slightly towards the sides. On either end there is a silver harp carefully embedded with an engraved woman next to both, hands carefully etched on the harp's strings mid-motion. Departing from the harp and flitting along the field of the tiara are a multitude of obsidian notes, coalescing in the centre of the tiara to encompass a single marquise ruby.

dropped A pile of of silks lie here forming a red admiral butterfly dress.
examined Diaphanous black silk forms the body of this luxurious dress. The bateau neckline and a-line skirt creates a modest design, while remaining comfortable and flowing. The arms and legs from the knee down are bare, while the hems make the dress demure. Two small bracelets of black silk ribbon wrap comfortably around the wrists, attached to fluid red silk, bordered with the black silk that makes up the body of the dress. When the arms raise, the red silk expands out, showing lovely butterfly wings that were hidden within the folds of silk. Clear sequins along the dress create intricate patterns, adding sparkle to the already lustrous silks when the wearer moves.

An azure hat has been carelessly thrown into a corner here.
Examined (extended_desc)
Crafted from the tanned hide of a fallen blue dragon, the scales that compose this hat have been carefully sanded back to take on an azure hue with a one-inch band of silver dyed along the base of the crown. Sporting a wide, straight brim that extends about four inches out from the crown, the left side of the hat is thinner as to give it a floppy appearance, while the right side has been stiffened to flip up. Cradled inbetween the right flap and the hat's tip is an obsidian eagle's feather to give the wearer a roguish appearance. Inside the hem of the lining the crafter's mark is carefully embroidered, a silver falcon.

An azure cape lies here, crumpled in a corner
Examined (extended_desc)
Woven from the spider silk only the Arachnoi of the Darkenwood can produce and dyed an azure colour, this cape is slim and flows smoothly down to hover just above the ankles. Draped about the shoulders but not being wide enough to cover them, this cape is supported at the neckline which rests at the base of the throat, comfortably held together by a simple silver clasp. The fabric is thin enough to allow the wind to toy with it, giving the wearer a somewhat careless appearance. On the silver clasp the crafter's mark is carefully etched and outlined with obsidian to render it visible, a silver falcon.

Woven from the spider silk only the Arachnoi of the Darkenwood can produce and dyed an azure colour, this long-sleeved collared shirt fits comfortably on the wearer. Sporting no buttons to close the shirt, it instead gives the impression of a V-line collar by folding the fabric over itself, the end of the collar signified by a single knot at the base of the sternum. Inside the hem of both wrists the crafter's mark is embroidered, a silver falcon.

Third painting in the series depicting the history of the Curia (we're up to the wartime years now):
Shrouded in black silk, a painting rests here on an inconspicuous easel.
Shrouded in a swathe of black silk that hangs loosely around its unframed corners, a scene of warfare spreads across the shadowy surface of this canvas. At the centre, a megalithic obsidian pyramid looms, its form crumbling into dust. Streams of ominous, violet energy writhe and twist out in tongues of liquid shadow from the tetrahedron toward a tribal force gathered nearby. Amid the pulsing Darkfire, two vicious hounds attempt to trample a coiled, gold viper beneath their mighty paws as its fanged head darts out to bite them.

I have plenty of stuff to post here, but I can't until Logosmas is over . I guess I could post up my new gear I've got ready for when knight changes drop when I get home, though.
I don't have the appearance or dropped... but this was the second draft of the wings I wanted that turned out to be too magical:
Shaped like magnificent swallowtail butterfly wings, this pair is held securely to the wearer's back by sparkling silk sashes; the right sash is fiery red with hints of gold, while the left is a calming ocean blue, mixed with silver and light sea-green threads. Above the right sash, brilliant wings of fire form the shape of butterfly wings, the flames frozen in place though still flickering slightly. The top half of the wing is fairly large, the flames blazing skywards while the bottom is half its size, the brilliant flames unnaturally rolling towards the ground. At the centre, separating yet connecting each wing, is an intricately detailed selily of sterling silver, covered with a dusting of diamonds. The left wing is translucent and solid where the right was resplendent and ethereal, while roughly the same size, water flows in waves within it at a peaceful pace. Its edges curve with subtle waves along them, with shades of blue and green and small flakes of silver swirl within the solid form, shimmering with consistent, slow movement, like waves in the ocean. Embroidered with silver silk, flowing lettering spells out "Duanathar", the word of power, upon each strap.
Swallowtail wings lying here looks like flames rising from a pool of sea water.
Sparkling silk sashes securely hold this magnificent pair of swallowtail butterfly wings to the wearer's back. The right sash is fiery red with hints of gold, while the left is the calming blue of the ocean entertwined with silver and pale, sea-green threads. Transparent silk the colour of fire forms the wing above the right sash, the material cut in a way that gives the illusion that the flames flicker slightly. Although the inferno blazes skyward, the bottom of the wing is half its size with a brilliant conflagration that unnaturally rolls toward the ground. An intricately detailed selily of sterling silver covered with a dusting of diamonds is a segue, connecting the two halves despite forging a clear boundary between them. Where the right wing is resplendant and ethereal, the left is a translucent copy that roughly mimics the size and shape of its counterpart. Crystalline silk resembles waves that ebb and flow in a peaceful tide. The delicate edges of the wing curve and curl to create a subtle ocean pattern in shades of blue and green, and minuscule fragments of silver flake woven to give the impression that it swirls within the solid form. Silver silk embroidered along each strap spells out the word "Duanathar" in flowing script.
Thank you SO much to @Taraus and @Blujixapug and everyone else that tried to help me
I'm sorry, the description (while admittedly busy) is too magical? The description for the wings you attach to your back, the ones you say a magic word aloud and they send you soaring up to the clouds, that description was too magical? Huh.

That's -exactly- why I was so angry with them being rejected. Trilliana's a MAGI for crying out loud!
Ugh, that makes me think my idea for wings might not be approved, if I ever actually got around to writing descriptions and reactions for them...
Honestly, I would say to email them instead of doing IG if you're doing something like that to see if you'll work with them. To me, it doesn't make sense because of a Shield I did for @Yerf (seriously, ish insane. Basically 5 Shields in one)... meh, at least I have wings. They've been on my wish list for ages.

Oh, I will be. No way to submit the entire thing through the in game customisation process. Potentially too many reactions involved, including different descriptions based on whether or not they're actually being worn, and possibly a few other things (dragonform might be a factor, if possible). Cost may end up being prohibitive, and I'd like to buy a second pet (with two or three custom attack messages, so also expensive as hell...) first.
Not actually planning on submitting this, I just whipped it up for fun.
