Morning boredom strikes again.
Easily, one of my favorite things about role-playing in Achaea (or interacting in the world in general, whether with another character or with the environment) is how challenging but rewarding it can be to work a piece of writing so that it conjures a very detailed image in everyone's mind. One "sense" that has always been slightly vaguer than the rest, though, in my opinion, is the auditory one. "Accents" and "voices" helped with this, I think - but it, for some reason, still more challenging to "hear" a voice in your head (at least intentionally!) than it is to see something. I'm not presenting an issue with the system at all. I am merely saying that it's harder for the brain to do that. Or at least my brain. Maybe I just have a weird brain. I don't know.
Anyway. FOR FUN'S AND BOREDOM'S SAKE --
Who would voice your character given their current IG accent/voice/personality?
Pick an actor, voice actor, a particular character that actor speaks for. -shrug- Thought it could be fun to hear how other players would like their characters to sound.
You can post a video OR just explain/list what actor it would be.
Tillie's would be Rose Leslie, particularly the Ygritte brand. Scottish = Inbhir Ness, to me, as well as her voice being a little deeper, huskier.
I'd post a video, but they're all pretty redundant and I really don't feel like filtering through a ton of videos of just the "You know nothing, Jon Snow," and Ygritte/Jon sex scenes. So yeah.

Couldn't figure out how to embed it >_<
It starts at 6:49 or so, as I couldn't find a video that doesn't start before the actual dialogue!
I was pretty tempted to simply create my own version, admittedly. I might still do that, hah.
ETA: The only issue that I run into with doing my own version is that I'd have to determine what a Cyrenian accent and what an Ashtani accent sound like, as Jhae's accent is mostly Cyrenian that leans Ashtani when she's upset. There have been threads on that before though.
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to? You will never find that [everlasting] life for which you are looking. When the gods created man they allotted to him death, but life they retained in their own keeping. As for you, Gilgamesh, fill your belly with good things; day and night, night and day, dance and be merry, feast and rejoice. Let your clothes be fresh, bathe yourself in water, cherish the little child that holds your hand, and make your wife happy in your embrace; for this too is the lot of man."

Not really, that's just the only talking bug that came to mind. Will have to think about it a bit more for a real answer.
This clip is also pretty similar to some of the lectures I give students, if you substitute Knighthood instead of shady underworld ninjas.
Tom Hardy as Charles Salvador (Bronson). The language, the ability to go from 0-100 in .4s, the sort of growl in his tone, all that.
also, lots of cursing.

Obviously Jodie Foster would be Melodie - the way she speaks in general, both in relaxation and in the middle of heated argument is pretty close to how I imagine her, perhaps with a tiny bit more sultry to it, but not too much.
Not to mention one of my favorite movies ever, too!
That love soon might end You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching Though quaking
Shown in this shaking Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh."
Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Kerria silly:
I'm sure there a subtle hint there. (Though I'd say it's pretty spot on).
That's Adam Montoya
