If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Tough call, I change myself so often to fit my needs at the time. At the moment, nothing.
I had most of this written out and then Sweet Tart came along and had a better way of doing it, so I rewrote it like that because I agree that it's something that can have very differing answers from what they say and what is reality, especially with characters who have some cognitive dissonance or worse.
Do you, or did you, have any role models?
In roughly chronological order...Segami, Mysti, Naiad, Aldair, Yae, Xinna.
(Pretty much just that. Her mentor, the best Druid, taught her about the world she was being naive about, long lost potential friend and steadfast in her own faith, a reminder of her past, and a great Bard combat teacher.)
How do you generally treat others?
With due respect, whether they have earned it or not. The form of that respect changes as my affiliation has, though never the intent, and I have seen it in action that proper respect and occasional deference blunts even bigoted misers.
(She really misses swearing with Taraus, though.)
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My century or so of service to the Earthmother, right up until Her...demise...around 315 AF. Everything after has been a bit...rocky. That's looking up with my marriage and achievement of Deaconess, though.

Absinthe.

What is your dream occupation?
...I don't know.

My wedding ring.
(Her old Gaian pendant, the ring is second, and her brand and back scar are tied for third.)
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
Quiet places to think.
(The Temples of Nature, Art, and Vengeance, as she feels more at home and at peace there than anywhere else, for various reasons. Divine Temples in general, really.)
When and where were you the happiest?
A long time ago, in the embrace of a loved one...and recently, in the embrace of another.
(See the perfect happiness question. Related, when she was absolutely sure of her path without doubt, which got all thrown off around when I quit the game, so it never really got 'fixed' yet...oops, fixing now. The second part, though, would be when she was sitting on Zanzibaar and proposed to Marina, which is entirely true; she was elated then.)
What is your most marked characteristic?
I am the only Greywards to walk the face of Sapience.
(Her smile is also pretty notable, when she can keep an honest and happy one even in Mhaldor.)
What is it that you most dislike?
Willful ignorance.
(Ignorance isn't being stupid, as I loved to believe as a kid, but being unaware of something. She hates it when someone refuses to make themselves aware of things, especially when they start passing judgement on those things.)

I have no cause for fear anymore.
(Losing herself, or finding that she is such a different person than who she believes she is that she can't recognize herself anymore.)

My tarot decks and scabbards.
(She collects both, and is probably the most extravagant thing she has.)
Who do you most despise?
Ashtani.

(Not joining a family is a big one, for sure, but so is the way she treated her friends so long ago when they reached out to help her.)

Blindness.
(Generally just anything someone does without real thought or good reason at all -- blind hate, blind lust, etc.)
What do you most value in your friends?
Loyalty.
(She's lost more than a few doing dumb things, but those who stick with her are truly treasured.)
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Forgiveness.

On what occasions do you lie?
I don't.
(Only to herself, she tells what she sees as the truth to everyone else.)
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Aye, indeed.
("I see" is also common for her, but "Aye" and "Indeed" are tops.)
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My ...hair.
(While she's cut her hair drastically shorter a few times -- it used to be down to her ankles even in a braid -- and even dyed it, the better answer is her heart, and the pain she feels inside. My forum avatar was not an accident or a whim )
How would you like to die?
With dignity.
(With dignity.)
Describe a typical dream you might have.
I do not dream anymore.
(Actually fairly accurate, she doesn't dream peacefully these days when she does sleep.)
Describe your worst nightmares. No.
(Dreams of the forests turned to ash at her hands, and ripping out the heart of her old Grove and enjoying it.)
Bydar, a garish-looking trader says, "I'm not a man, I'm an experience."
I enjoy reading the different virtues each person values in their friends. It speaks a lot of the character's personality and the people they tend to enjoy gathering around them.
More!
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
Ironically, the stuff I've enjoyed reading the most is about enemies/non-acquaintances. It's fascinating to get a glimpse of people you'd never ordinarily get to know in-game in such a non-biased way! (Not that I can do anything with it, it's just fascinating)

Do you, or did you, have any role models?
Yig (somewhat from afar), Watchman, Wulfen. Kaset was where I got the idea of eschewing titles where possible. I looked up to people like Mistral, Tizzee, Aista, et al. who managed to make some waves back when Mhaldor was a tremendous sausage-fest.

of Neutrality consisted of three volumes. Only the first was published
broadly. The second and third volumes are now lost to me, although I
know that the third volume has survived in part, in at least one library
in Achaea, a library I don't have access too. The second was entitled: "Good, Evil and Beyond." The third was entitled: "Truth of Balance." Describe your worst nightmares. Suffering
Gaia's disfavour, being cast from the Druid house and being forcefully
severed from my grove. Under these conditions, existence would be dark
indeed.

If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Everything? Nothing? I dislike myself, but my friends like me, so if I changed I may not have my friends or family. So why would I change?
How would you like to die?
I would not.
Describe a typical dream you might have.
I turned back to go to father and the pygmies never came.
Describe your worst nightmares. Being alone. Being bad.
To those I doesn't know I am quiet and respectful. To those who have irked me in some way, stern. Friendly I am open, and sometimes a bit silly. Close, I speak my mind, and hold them in the highest esteem.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Knighthood
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Standing before a mural in Cyrene, next to @Kardal .
What is your dream occupation? Minister of Security, or Shield Lord. Anything that serves the city and house.
What is your most treasured possession? Kidlett, my faithful companion goat kid. He keeps my spirits up, and his training keeps me occupied when I have something better to do.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
I often travel to Clockwork, because it intrigues me, all the different, man-made creatures. Recently, though, I've traveled often to Tuar, and seek to solve the mystery there.
When and where were you the happiest?
The happiest day.. I remember was the day I received my Accolade, and the shortly after a wedding. Oh! But prior to that my first son @Lytwig was confirmed by the bloodline registry.
What is your most marked characteristic?
My Red hair and sense of duty. At least I hope it is. It may actually be that I'm short.
What is it that you most dislike?
I dislike when women, or men for that matter, would rather lay on their backs for valuables or coin than hunt, or fish, or attempt combat. It shows a remarkable lack of self respect and respect for others. I also dislike it when people try and force me to eat sweets because they think that is all I do.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
Letting my city or house down. Cyrene is my home, I shall take care of her till my hand may raise no more. Shield is my hope for the future, and I will defend the house until my last breath. To let either of them down will break my heart.
What is your greatest extravagance?
This perfume necklace I bought this one time. I always have it on me. Just because I wear heavy armour does not mean I have to smell like it.
Who do you most despise?
No one- I am sad for those who have hurt Cyrene, my family, my friends or myself. I do not trust a few people, but it does not make me despise them.
What is your greatest regret?
Allowing a young man to use and abuse me for a long time, and taking so long to finally put my foot down and say 'no more'.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Oh, I suppose playing the lyre might be a nice talent, maybe singing.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I am quiet, and introspective. I am also terribly formal to people I do not know fairly well, and often times I am considered bitchy, or people think I do not wish their company. Which is to day, I would like to get to know more people.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Dishonesty and laziness. As a Knight I always speak the truth, it is my oath, those who lie to me or fool me are not those who I wish to associate with. Being unwilling to work on yourself or for anything else also gives me less desire to seek you out as a companion in friendship. Also, "half-assing" does not constitute as working hard.
What do you most value in your friends?
Honesty and intelligence, both are what I surround myself with. I also value their smiles, even if a few of them are very hard to find at times.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Nonviolence. There may be those who choose the path to never harm anything, ever, but they will not defend themselves and they will not defend others. There will always be a need to be 'violent' to defend, least you become cattle to the slaughter.
On what occasions do you lie?
Never. Even when it comes to "harmless lies". Even the smallest lie can affect everyone around you. "Does this gown make my hips look too big?" The gown is unbecoming, perhaps try a color more suited for your complexion, blue almost always works.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Well... Enough. Gremlins (code for Ninja needs me) Paperwork. (sometimes also code for Ninja, but more often than not means something got messed up and I have to fix it.)
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My ability to jump into the arena and learn combat easily. It's non existent, and aggravates me far too much.
How would you like to die?
Not often... oh. You mean die, die. Having lived many years, and married to my love for that much more. With my grandchildren's grandchildren grown and my heart full of the life I chose to lead.
Describe a typical dream you might have.
I would have to rest to dream, and dreams are rare when there is much work to be done.
Describe your worst nightmares. Forgetting what I am in the middle of doing and having to start over.
Do you, or did you, have any role models? Neville "Moonie" Carnivalis and the other, unnamed, pioneers of jestering.
How do you generally treat others? Cordially, unless I dislike them, in which case harshly and bitterly.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Performing the eulogy at Silvestri's funeral.
What is your idea of perfect happiness? Well-fitting undergarments.
What is your dream occupation? Imperial Court Jester of Seleucar
What is your most treasured possession? A costume of myself. For when I need to be undercover.
Where do you travel to most often, and why? A cave in Shamtota with dripping water that goes "plip". It allows me to journey to the brink of insanity and open my mind to the ancient secrets of jestering.
When and where were you the happiest? Helping Fyglia save Fyglialand.
What is your most marked characteristic? Man boobs.
What is it that you most dislike? The state of modern jestering
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)? The death of the CIJ
What is your greatest extravagance? I only drink the finest fairy nectar and chocolate milk
Who do you most despise? Mendax
What is your greatest regret? Not being five years older so as to have met Silvestri
Which talent would you most like to have? Lockpicking
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Inanity
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Inanity
What do you most value in your friends?
Inanity
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Bravery
On what occasions do you lie?
Rarely
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
plip
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
To not have squandered my youth
How would you like to die?
Caught in a timequake which allows me to see Seleucar in my dying moments.
Yes. My mentor, @Sachiel before he went dormant, @Morro ditto.
How do you generally treat others?
That greatly depends on the circumstances, that said, I suppose I try for kindness and respect generally.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I have yet to achieve anything of note, and when I do, I am unlikely to tell anyone outside of the occultists.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfection is an unattainable dream for most, even if in a single thing. Doubly so for such an ephemeral concept as "happiness"
What is your dream occupation?
Other than being an occultist? I suppose I would not mind opening a shop someday.
What is your most treasured possession?
... friendship.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
Cyrene. I can't stand the culture, and find their arbitrary rejection of all occultists as citizens rather strange for people who claim to value respect, as well as their rejection of the orders of a list of several gods even as they threaten to eject anyone who so much as disrespects ANY divine.
...But the people are nice enough, and the city is pretty. mmm. Now if only they could actually defend the place.
When and where were you the happiest?
Why do you keep asking me about happiness? What is that even supposed to really mean, I wonder.
What is your most marked characteristic?
I suppose I am a rather suspiciously nice and soft-spoken Occultist... Make of that what you will.
What is it that you most dislike?
A rather large quantity of my fellow sirens. Specifically the ones who seem unable to keep their clothing on for more than a few minutes.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
That it will all be for naught.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Practical expense: My shield of absorption. Other than that? Probably my purchases of tea and alcohol.
Who do you most despise?
I do not make enemies so easily and have not been active in the realms again for all that long. There are a great many people who irritate me greatly, most of whom are Mhaldorians or Shala- erm, Targossans, but no one whom I would really say I despise as of yet.
Thirty years ago I suppose it would have been @Guy. The insolent backstabbing cowardly brat.
What is your greatest regret?
My dormancy.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Reading others emotions better.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I apologize too much.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Willful ignorance.
What do you most value in your friends?
That is a rather difficult question to answer. Apologies, I think that I will just leave it at that.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Faith.
On what occasions do you lie?
The very sentence which I am currently uttering is a lie.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
My apologies. mmm. Hmmm. *smiles softly*
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
My mortality for divinity.
How would you like to die?
I would really rather not but... mmm. I suppose something that furthers occultic knowledge would be good enough. Bonus points if it sinks Targossas or does something entertaining to a priest or two in the process as I go out. I think so small I know.
Do you, or did you, have
any role models? I
do, but I’d rather not say. He already knows who he is.
How do you generally treat
others? I generally try to make
people feel valued and important, even if they are a stranger. Sometimes people
give off “don’t talk to me” vibes, which I try to respect. I say try because I’ve been known to not read
the vibes and grace them with my presence anyways.
What do you consider your
greatest achievement? Finding a partner that
understands my virtues and not only accepts, but also embraces them for what
they are.
What is your idea of
perfect happiness? Spending time with friends
and not getting robbed while doing so.
What is your dream
occupation? It would be service to my
city and if that does not work out… a zoo keeper. Animals don’t judge me.
What is your most treasured
possession? I have so many
materialistic ones, but I’d like to say my amulet.
Where do you travel to most
often, and why? My most often would be
Targossas. They have a lovely tavern there where I’ve met some of the most
interesting people. I’d like to say I go for the temples...but that would not
be honest.
When and where were you the
happiest? I am quite young, so I have
not had many remarkable moments. However, the one that sticks in my mind would
be in the chapel in Cyrene. While I usually go there for solitude, my partner
confessed his intentions towards me there which I accepted.
What is your most marked
characteristic? My smile... even when
people are pissing me off.
What is it that you most
dislike? I dislike chaos as I enjoy
having harmony in my environment. I also hate being alone because it makes me
feel like I won’t be able to control my thought processes.
What is your greatest fear
(may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)? My greatest fear would be
letting a friend down. It stresses me out when someone is disappointed in me.
What is your greatest
extravagance? I spend quite a few coins
on fashion… and drinks.
Who do you most despise? I despise people who beat
around the bush. Just tell me what you really think and no one will get hurt.
What is your greatest
regret? I luckily have none at this
moment.
Which talent would you most
like to have? I’d like to say I want more
talent in combat. I fail at it.
What is the trait you most
deplore in yourself? My selflessness has caused
me more problems than benefits.
What is the trait you most
deplore in others? I hate arrogance in a
person, but do not mistake that for me hating pride or confidence. Arrogance is
selfishness that rears its ugly head and tries to diminish the skills and
abilities of others.
What do you most value in
your friends? Genuineness. I don’t really
care how weird they are as long as they don’t try to put on another mask.
What do you consider the
most overrated virtue? Peace.
On what occasions do you
lie? I would lie to protect a
friend. I’ve done it before.
Which words or phrases do
you most overuse? Ahh... I see.
If you could change one
thing about yourself, what would it be? My sensitivity as I take
too much to heart.
How would you like to die? Who likes thinking about
that?!
Describe a typical dream
you might have. My dreams take the form of
different shades of color in my mind. I don’t really remember them.
I try to be benevolent, but I still don't understand what this means. Honestly, I treat most people coldly, ehe... it's no wonder I don't have many friends!
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Helping create Lifeless Sun. Someday, when I defeat Iocun, it'll become that instead.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Impossible to achieve, even by divine hands... though perhaps m'Lady comes closest.
What is your dream occupation?
Being m'Lady's blade.
What is your most treasured possession?
My own blade, Lifeless Sun.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
Centre Crossing, 'cause it has benches.
When and where were you the happiest?
In the heat of battle.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Apparently green hair is rare or something. Probably that.
What is it that you most dislike?
Adventurers. Most of them are mass murdering scum, and don't even recognize the fact.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
During the Bal'met war, I feared for m'Lady's life, but moreso, I was afraid of being unable to do anything about it... it turned out both fears were wrong in the end, as most are.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Ice cream... 'til Cyrene stopped selling it. Later, scarfs, though they don't sell many of those either.
Who do you most despise?
Didn't you ask this already?
What is your greatest regret?
It's not that I regret waiting so long to tell Iocun... I just regret standing near him so silently before doing so.
Which talent would you most like to have?
Being m'Lady's blade, versed in sharpness of all sorts - of wit, combat, tongue, and more.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
That I am weak.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
That they crush others to shed their own weakness.
What do you most value in your friends?
I don't care if they fight well, but I don't think I could become someone's friend without facing them in battle on a regular basis.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
A virtue that can be overrated is merely just a lie under another name.
On what occasions do you lie?
Never - especially not now.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
I used to have a nervous laugh that I did a lot. Does that count?
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Only one thing? I would allow myself to change infinitely more thereafter, so that I can follow my heart's whim and m'Lady's word.
How would you like to die?
This is a silly question, and you're a silly person for asking it.
Describe a typical dream you might have / your worst nightmares.
I don't sleep.
[/spoiler] I tried to word it how she would, but it's also been a few months since I've played her, so oh well!
Because I have so much godsforsaken downtime at work recently, why not (of course answered from an IC perspective):
Do you, or did you, have any role models?
No. I believe inspiration is best found within, not without.
How do you generally treat others?
With token respect until they give me reason to treat them otherwise.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Being generally self-sufficient and a competent captain.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
On a secluded island or a ship with rum, cigars, and questionable women.
What is your dream occupation?
Sailing (more specifically exploring, trading, and diving).
What is your most treasured possession?
An engraved medallion that was given to me by an old friend a very long time ago.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
Zanzibaar, for the rum, the cuisine, and the business opportunities.
When and where were you the happiest?
On a ship away from the hustle and bustle of mainland.
What is your most marked characteristic?
You'd have to ask someone else. Sense of humour? Smell? Being a lush?
What is it that you most dislike?
Complacency, in all aspects.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
Growing bored or worn out with seafaring.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Item customisation(s).
Who do you most despise?
A sheep-mentality.
What is your greatest regret?
Class changing so often, though it has been an experience I wouldn't take back.
Which talent would you most like to have?
A better knack for hunting.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Impulsiveness.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Boastfulness.
What do you most value in your friends?
Loyalty.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Honour. (To clarify, I consider the general view people tend to have of honour as overrated. Honour isn't a catchall for value and morals. There's nothing wrong with theft, but there is something inherently wrong with stealing from friends, for instance, in that it betrays loyalty.)
On what occasions do you lie?
I try not to (easier than you think).
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
"Bloody hell" and "for fuck's sake"
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothing comes to mind.
How would you like to die?
Going down with the ship.
Describe a typical dream you might have.
I don't know. Cruising around on a Strider with a barrel of rum and twin Sirens?
Describe your worst nightmares.
Waking up and realizing the rum and Sirens was just a dream.
No. I spent a really long time being the only thing in existence, so I learned to value Me for who I am. I won't let the haters harsh My vibe. I'm the God of Everything damn it!
How do you generally treat others?
Like marionettes. I also occasionally kick people out of the universe to start their own (see Varian).
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Reality.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Finally fixing this @#$^@ Fire Behind the Flame. It's really boring out here by Myself.
What is your dream occupation?
I'm living it.
What is your most treasured possession?
It's a toss-up. I'm quite fond of the Black Boar, but I also love My grey robes.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
Before that asshole Bal'met tried to destroy My stuff, it was the Garden. These days, I don't travel anywhere. I hope to rectify that in the future. I could use a nice beach vacay that involves drinks with little umbrellas.
When and where were you the happiest?
Probably when I was Proteus, before the Chaos Wars. I was both omnipotent and not. Good times. So much mischief and shenanigans.
What is your most marked characteristic?
My grey robes, or possibly being the Creator of All.
What is it that you most dislike?
Mushrooms. Why?
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
That I might actually be more awesome than I already am. *boom* Mind blown, right?
Hmm. Choosing such a flamboyant colour for My robes. Or possibly allowing Phaestus to create dwarves. I'm not sure.
Which talent would you most like to have?
I already have all the talents, although I'll admit that my karaoke skills are a bit lacking. I wouldn't laugh if I were you though. I get a little zap-y.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
I really don't think such a stupid question deserves an answer.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Not trying. "Dreams of Divine Lands," people. Give it your all.
What do you most value in your friends?
Divinity.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
Trying too hard. Come on, stop making the rest of us look bad.
On what occasions do you lie?
Being God, My words are both true, untrue, and kinda-sorta true all of the time, 60% of the time.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
"@Makarios, did you fall asleep at your keyboard AGAIN?"
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Hahaha. Come on.
How would you like to die?
I can't die, but if I could, I suppose it'd be while sitting in my favorite cave, and staring at that spot on the wall I always liked. Simple pleasures.
Describe a typical dream you might have.
I don't sleep. You do though, I bet, which is one reason you're not the Creator.
Describe your worst nightmares.
Ditto, but if you mean My worst fears, they typically involve walking in on some mortals having really unfortunate mudsex. Terrifying and disturbing.
No. I spent a really long time being the only thing in existence, so I learned to value Me for who I am. I won't let the haters harsh My vibe. I'm the God of Everything damn it!

This is the single greatest thing of all time. Of. All. Time!
Comments
Do you, or did you, have any role models?
Sir Elazar, Dreadlord Carmain.
How do you generally treat others?
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
hr3 (try to contain your awe and amazement)
After having mastered the skills necessary to be able to slaughter my enemies in combat, effortlessly.
Disciplinarian of the Maldaathi.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
When and where were you the happiest?
Mhaldor. Right here, right now.
A long, hooked nose.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
What is your greatest extravagance?
Eagle's wings.
I have not established any clear rivals yet.
I have none at present.
What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Hesitation in regards to anything.
Laziness.
What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
On what occasions do you lie?
When it is necessary to complete the mission.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
Nothing at this time.
With honour.
Describe your worst nightmares.
Being cast from Mhaldor as a weak, miserable failure.
(Pretty much just that. Her mentor, the best Druid, taught her about the world she was being naive about, long lost potential friend and steadfast in her own faith, a reminder of her past, and a great Bard combat teacher.)
(She really misses swearing with Taraus, though.)
(They really are, although direct service to the Divine pretty much always trumps because Divine.)
(Memories of Gaia's embrace. Absinthe helps, though, and her wife's embrace.)
(Being in a Divine Order again and gaining rank there. Beyond that, hell, I dunno.)
(Her old Gaian pendant, the ring is second, and her brand and back scar are tied for third.)
(The Temples of Nature, Art, and Vengeance, as she feels more at home and at peace there than anywhere else, for various reasons. Divine Temples in general, really.)
(Her smile is also pretty notable, when she can keep an honest and happy one even in Mhaldor.)
(Ignorance isn't being stupid, as I loved to believe as a kid, but being unaware of something. She hates it when someone refuses to make themselves aware of things, especially when they start passing judgement on those things.)
(Losing herself, or finding that she is such a different person than who she believes she is that she can't recognize herself anymore.)
(She collects both, and is probably the most extravagant thing she has.)
(Specific Ashtani, the ones that beat her down emotionally a long time ago, for no reason she could see other than shits and giggles. I don't hate today's Ashtani at all ...well, maybe one or two.)
(Not joining a family is a big one, for sure, but so is the way she treated her friends so long ago when they reached out to help her.)
(Surety of self and purpose, freed from doubt and fear.)
(More like cowardice and insecurity, and fear of making enemies.)
(Generally just anything someone does without real thought or good reason at all -- blind hate, blind lust, etc.)
(She's lost more than a few doing dumb things, but those who stick with her are truly treasured.)
(With one specific person's exception, yup. She doesn't forgive, she seeks to understand.)
(Only to herself, she tells what she sees as the truth to everyone else.)
("I see" is also common for her, but "Aye" and "Indeed" are tops.)
(While she's cut her hair drastically shorter a few times -- it used to be down to her ankles even in a braid -- and even dyed it, the better answer is her heart, and the pain she feels inside. My forum avatar was not an accident or a whim )
(With dignity.)
(Actually fairly accurate, she doesn't dream peacefully these days when she does sleep.)
No.
(Dreams of the forests turned to ash at her hands, and ripping out the heart of her old Grove and enjoying it.)
More!
- No. To make someone a role model places too much on them. However, I give Lord Apollyon and many Mhaldorians credit for leading me to the Seven Truths.
- I extend respect to my fellow citymates and to the lost heathens and heretics.
- My proteges.
- There is no such thing as perfect happiness. This is an illusion for those of the Eastern side of the continent.
- I serve the Will of the Lord Sartan
- To let go of worldly possessions is to embrace Suffering.
- The Inferno. I go there to focus and to commune with the denizens there.
- This is another illusion perpetuated by lost souls who refuse His Truths.
-Clasping my hands before me.
- I have pity, not dislike, for those who refuse His Truths.
- Mhaldorians live without fear. We embrace our experiences and learn from them.
-Gowns
-Again, I do not despise anyone. I pity the blind and deaf who do not See or Listen to His Truths.
-I haven't any regrets. Each step led me to my destiny in the West.
- If combat is a talent, which it is not, I would like to become better.
-Willful blindness to His Truths.
- Goodness
- I would change nothing. Each step led me to His City.
- I do not have nightmares either.
- I have had various people who I have looked to as role models in different aspects of my life. My mother Melodie has been someone I look up to for her patience and her teaching spirit which are virtues that continually fail me. My mentor Hasar has been a living, breathing example of Mhaldorian Strength and has been an encouragement that drives me to push forward.
- I try to be cordial with those I don't know. Respectful to my superiors and to my peers. And I'm afraid I'm a bit swift to be nasty to those that fail to offer the same respect.
- I don't think that I have achieved it yet.
- The idea that the Lord would be pleased with my service to His city would be the ultimate fulfillment.. though I'm uncertain that achieving "perfect happiness" would be a positive experience or even possible.
- I do not know the answer to this. I like what I do now and would be content to learn many different skills.
- My journal full of letters from various people from over the years. Most of them express disappointment in me and my choices.
- I travel all about to hunt. The Grukai swamp and Istarion mostly though, I suppose.
- Again, I cannot say that happiness is necessarily something I have any reason to cling to. But once there was this ball in Cyrene..
- I often get told to eat more and to spend a bit more time in the sun. So maybe being a bit thin and pale.
- I most dislike when people laud their own virtues. I like to see them fail the most when I hear such things.
- Perhaps the fear of failure or disappointing those I hold in high esteem.
- My wings.
- Traitors
- Something far too personal to share with nearly anyone.
- I wish I had leadership abilities in combat. That is something that remains far beyond my reach.
- Arrogance or a sense of self-entitlement.
- Forgiveness. Absolutely forgiveness.
- I am easily sidetracked and forgetful. I would like to be more focused.
- Placing retardation down in a battle and then not being able to move, at all. Not even sluggishly.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...
...But you'll always follow the voices beneath.
-covers her mouth in duct tape-
I go dormant too often/don't accomplish anything big enough for anyone to care about me anyway.
Do you, or did you, have any role models?
-
One of the symptoms of an approaching nervous breakdown is the belief that one's work is terribly important
The old hermit that saved my life in the Black forest, and raised me as his son. No, I don't know his name. He never spoke and passed to Thoth's domain, around my 18th birthday, he has not returned.
How do you generally treat others?
With Respect.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
My work on Neutrality and getting it publish in libraries across Achaea.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
A healthy forest.
What is your dream occupation?
None, being a Druid is not an Occupation, it's a way of life.
What is your most treasured possession?
I have no treasured possessions, I live a simple life.
Where do you travel to most often, and why?
I travel where I'm needed, so I don't really keep track of this.
When and where were you the happiest?
Right here, right now.
What is your most marked characteristic?
My eyes. They are completely black. No, I'm not blind, they are simply black. No, I don't know why, so please stop asking.
What is it that you most dislike?
Ashtan or Mhaldor, they change places regularly.
What is your greatest fear (may be a little spoiler-y? You can omit, of course)?
The destruction of forests.
What is your greatest extravagance?
During the reckoning, I bought a shirt to help me deal with the cold. I don't normally spend gold on things that aren't strictly necessary.
But I hated shivering all the time so I got the shirt just to take the bite out of the wind.
Who do you most despise?
Ayoxele, his exterminations p... leave me vexed. He's a f... retarded a... Yes, I despise the bastard!
What is your greatest regret?
The loss of two of my written works. My research and writing on the subject of Neutrality consisted of three volumes. Only the first was published broadly. The second and third volumes are now lost to me, although I know that the third volume has survived in part, in at least one library in Achaea, a library I don't have access too.
The second was entitled: "Good, Evil and Beyond."
The third was entitled: "Truth of Balance."
If you see them and are able to copy them in their entirety, I'd be very grateful if you would supply me with copies.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?
There are no virtues that are overrated, many people over emphasise specific virtues though.
On what occasions do you lie?
When the lie protects Nature.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
The word: Right. I use it way to often to indicate that I'm ready to continue an action or discussion.
I also sigh a lot, even when I'm not in the company of others.
If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd love to be just a bit more courageous, a little more heroic, a little more daring.
How would you like to die?
In the arms of Gaia, right after destroying the last of either Mhaldor or Ashtan. I don't really care which, as long as it's the last of both of them.
Describe a typical dream you might have.
Serving Gaia at a picknic in my grove, on a beautiful spring morning.
Describe your worst nightmares.
Suffering Gaia's disfavour, being cast from the Druid house and being forcefully severed from my grove. Under these conditions, existence would be dark indeed.
That love soon might end You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching Though quaking
Shown in this shaking Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Minister of Security, or Shield Lord. Anything that serves the city and house.
Kidlett, my faithful companion goat kid. He keeps my spirits up, and his training keeps me occupied when I have something better to do.
I also dislike it when people try and force me to eat sweets because they think that is all I do.
Enough.
Gremlins (code for Ninja needs me)
Paperwork. (sometimes also code for Ninja, but more often than not means something got messed up and I have to fix it.)
Forgetting what I am in the middle of doing and having to start over.
Do you, or did you, have any role models?
Likewise with nightmares.
Neville "Moonie" Carnivalis and the other, unnamed, pioneers of jestering.
Cordially, unless I dislike them, in which case harshly and bitterly.
Performing the eulogy at Silvestri's funeral.
Well-fitting undergarments.
Imperial Court Jester of Seleucar
A costume of myself. For when I need to be undercover.
A cave in Shamtota with dripping water that goes "plip". It allows me to journey to the brink of insanity and open my mind to the ancient secrets of jestering.
Helping Fyglia save Fyglialand.
Man boobs.
The state of modern jestering
The death of the CIJ
I only drink the finest fairy nectar and chocolate milk
Mendax
Not being five years older so as to have met Silvestri

With token respect until they give me reason to treat them otherwise.
Being generally self-sufficient and a competent captain.
On a secluded island or a ship with rum, cigars, and questionable women.
Sailing (more specifically exploring, trading, and diving).
An engraved medallion that was given to me by an old friend a very long time ago.
Zanzibaar, for the rum, the cuisine, and the business opportunities.
On a ship away from the hustle and bustle of mainland.

Complacency, in all aspects.
Growing bored or worn out with seafaring.
Item customisation(s).
A sheep-mentality.
Class changing so often, though it has been an experience I wouldn't take back.
A better knack for hunting.
Impulsiveness.
Boastfulness.
Loyalty.
Honour. (To clarify, I consider the general view people tend to have of honour as overrated. Honour isn't a catchall for value and morals. There's nothing wrong with theft, but there is something inherently wrong with stealing from friends, for instance, in that it betrays loyalty.)
I try not to (easier than you think).
"Bloody hell" and "for fuck's sake"
Nothing comes to mind.
Going down with the ship.
I don't know. Cruising around on a Strider with a barrel of rum and twin Sirens?
Waking up and realizing the rum and Sirens was just a dream.
