GMCP Documentation: We're actually doing our own version, since the IRE one doesn't get the love it needs. That will probably replace the IRE-wide one.
On an amusing thought: Will there be Divine arm wrestling during the 650?
On the other thought: What's with the behind the scenes changing of the custom and item design submissions? It was cool for my falcon since I saw it before I accepted paying for it but I've seen some people upset about items they submitted for jewellery, tailoring, and cooking and it got reworked without then knowing and they just had to buy it in a kind of as is. Would there be a possible way of letting them know 'hey, we did this for you, you want it like that or do you wanna rework it yourself and resubmit it'.
Arm wrestling: Only over who gets to zap you first.
Designs: When we changed over to the new way of doing things, we fixed up a lot of common mistakes in the designs to save designers the hassle of back-and-forth. People didn't like that, so we changed it to the way it is currently, where we don't make any changes to the designs.

Nah, I don't wish to do the twitching jig. Thanks for answering the questions.

Making tradeskills class-independent and reworking weaponry seem to be somewhat dependent on each other, with the result being that we're looking at a massive overhaul of how Achaean combat functions. How are you tackling such a large problem? Also, do you have any ideas as to how you'd roll the changes out? As in, would it happen in stages, or would we wake up one morning to discover a brave new world outside?

It ties in with forging, definitely.
We'll probably roll it out in stages, we'll definitely try to get a bunch of things done for the initial release.
I'm sure I'll have more, but one that's off the top of my head...
Are there any plans to change how artefacts work in any way, such as having the effect of an artefact go into an item of your choice, or the ability to "consolidate" artefacts? One of my main little pet peeves right now is how spammy a character looks when they start racking up enough artefacts (first world problems), and sometimes the artefact effect I need comes in an item I don't really need more of, or really fits the theme of my character.
So in short, is more artefact customisation going to be a possibility in the future? If so, how soon?
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby

It's something we go back and forth about, may happen, may not!
You guys need something flashy. Insta-inquisition + manaleech + mana-dmg that scales with the mana level the person died with in reverse up to 50% off the top of my head
Can we make this happen?
Also, "by Y650" as in like, within the next few days? Really? Really really? omg
Meaningful questions, hrm. Lets see.
- How likely are more board games if we IDEA them? Like battleships, maybe. Or checkers! Are these hard to justify in terms of coder time vs player enjoyment etc, or are they relatively simple?
- Can we add poker to city casinos? We have it in Thera, but that opens everyone playing to ganks, which makes it much less attractive, and probably less used.
- How many entries have been put in the bardic section so far, and in the last cycle?
- Can we have another class/race breakdown?
- What are the chances of another IRE lottery? Was that a lucrative promotion, or are the talisman promotions doing better?
- What's in the artifact vault, or is it a surprise?
- Will there be artifacts in the upcoming treasurehunt?

Board Games - The way they have been done in the past was ridiculous in terms of the amount of effort required. Not something we're probably going to devote any massive amounts of time to in their current form.
Poker - Yes, we'll be making it available to cities in the near future.
Art/Bards - Not sure, I'd say <30 entries.
Race/Class - sure, I'll post one up later.
IRE Lottery - Not sure! Promotions are done on an IRE-wide basis.
Are there unique artefacts in the Vault - so meaning, more than what is in the HELP ARTEFACT lists?
Would a housing promotion ever be on the cards, even if it was as part of the 'buy x credits and get x room/door credits/something similar' format? (in terms of the monthly promotions)

Too add onto Jurixe's question, is there any plans for more stuff or changes for housing? In the middle of building a manor and while there's still plenty to do, new shiny things are more likely to make Aerek and I jump on it. I was really disappointed in the decision to not make talismans be able to reset to rooms.

Vault - No unique ones currently.
Housing credits - Kind of a tough one, we'd need to have some form of bound room credits, otherwise you could just turn them back into regular credits (which would require us to scale the ratio of purchased credits to rewards up to ridiculous levels.)
Furniture - Yeah, definitely, they're relatively easy to do - why don't you whip up a forum thread with some ideas, and I'll see about getting them implemented.

Nothing in the immediate pipeline, but you never know when we need to take a break and work on something mindless for a few hours. Feel free to file an IDEA or start a thread, and you never know what might come of it.

This please. A million times this.
What would it take to convince you to allow/add consolidation of artefact powers as part of your artefacts system? Seriously, I cannot say how much I want this. I mean, just LOOK at my inventory. LOOK AT IT! It's an abomination.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing. One of the big limiting factors is the performance impact - currently we can do a simple check for "is artefact x in your inventory", vs. doing a "look on every item in your inventory for power x". Which, on the smaller games might be ok, because they've not got our concurrent playerbase, but for us, could be something quite detrimental (especially with the amount of pvp that happens on Achaea).
Not to mention some degree of customization to what the actual item is. Even if I got all crazy with buying credits, half the artefacts are item types I don't particularly care for, and the other half have effects I don't particularly care for. Tunic of... water breathing? Boring effect. Magical rings? Not a huge fan, honestly, sorry! Scabbard of regeneration? Now we're talking!

That's how you do things? x:
I wonder why you couldn't just move the actual lookup to the player, and just set/clear artefact power flags as they gain/lose the items that contain the actual benefits. Might not be so great giving every single Achaean a flag that says they don't, in fact, have a Level 2 Veil, but I feel like auction items are a bit different from ordinary artefacts anyway.
Comments
As far as the weaponry changes:
Will you allow dualty to operate on a limb-by-limb balance timer like monk?
Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
