Yeah, I love knight thematically, and the hunting is great, but I am having trouble enjoying the combat styles. I am thinking about what else I might enjoy, what hunts better between psion and dw? Oh, or for some classes a bit better at hunting, a weapon spec?
Magi is the opposite of a glass cannon. It is a very tanky class. Its offense isn't super reliant on intelligence since pummel doesn't scale off intelligence. My only concern unartied would be a lack of aldar diadem. I've never really played around with it without that, though.
My guess would be that its standard pummel setups are fine without aldar but maybe worse against tumble/rebounding because of tighter windows, and that destroy is probably a lot worse (though destroy isn't super favored by most magi anyway).
Pummel is manageable unartied, though the windows to take advantage of salve balances are much more narrow. Don't expect to have a fun time bashing as magi though.
And don't even think about trying for Destroy unartied. It's already hellish to achieve with max arties
Unartied Magi is just fine, Farrah has it down you'll be able to use pummel/freeze routes just fine without an Aldar Diadem though the timing is a bit tighter so there is less room for error. Destroy is much harder to pull off without an Aldar diadem and requires that your opponent has the absolute worst salve prios to pull off, but thats fine since pummel is super strong.
You've also got access to retardation, the great equalizer, you don't need any sort of artefacts to use it but it is a very unique kind of combat that only a few people really enjoy.
You can either spec intelligence which will amp your damage, most relevant in group combat, and increase the effectiveness of your armour (diamondskin). Speccing for constitution will make you much tankier, you'll still be able to pummel just as effectively but you might find your staffcasts and stormhammers do less damage in group fights. Depends on what you're looking to do more of!
It is a more defensively orientated class, you'll need to learn how to survive long enough to prep people since several other classes will beat you in prep and its hinder (breaking arms) is generally slow to build up, I think that dissuades a lot of people just starting out but its a solid class and has a lot to contribute in raids and so forth.
Both of your legs must be free and unhindered to do that.
Applying your knowledge of anatomy, you massage pressure points with your fingers, and a flood of
relief courses through your body.
Your crushed throat mends and you can draw breath easily once again.
It's simple you prep two more full limbs, their arms, and then sneakily sneak those broken bad boys into the execution and still fail because there was an icewall.
Two leg head setups are like the bare minimum. Five limb setups are much harder to defend against - for most people, the only practical defense is tumbling over an icewall, which might be impossible against someone with a good sense of timing and pay2win talismans like Yuddhi card or demo spheres.

Transition to Rain and Mind Travel lets you get off the dispatch anyways most of the time, so you need to tumble past an icewall and onto a monolith or over an area boundary. Only a few classes can reliably avoid a 5-limb setup without serious salve shennanigans, and BM isn't one of them.

E: take Farrah's word on it

Took a few cycles, but locked and dispatched Fauxstif with Shikudo. Training continues apace!
