    Once again, yes, leaving a room will nullify most affliction strategies for most classes. I get that.
    Extrum managed to kill several people and I was apostate for a super short time. I'll name drop Jhui if it makes you feel better. (Sorry @jhui) and that was before demon stain came around. 
    I think this disagreement comes from the sacrifice offense for defense stalemate argument though. 
    Also... I don't get the shield argument.... just keep deadeyes going..... ?

    Fitness spam. Curseward spam. Can't even use Nightmare against Devotionists/Elementalists, and even if you do it's just guesswork assuming when slickness hits, and at that point you still have to stick asthma (And impatience+weariness if they can fitness).

    I was mentioning some of the things that render locking/catharsis impossible - reliance on riding/weaponry once again. Apostate's just aren't that great in 1v1. I'd be happy for either of you to go Apostate and prove me wrong, though :) I won't say anything else on the subject because you don't seem to get the point.

    Standing in your city on a totem also renders locking/catharsis impossible, but you won't kill the apostate doing that.
    But yeah, if @jarrod is on my side, I must not get the point

    Jhui had awful apostate curing to be fair.

    Anyone with fitness was ridiculous. Anyone with transfix was ridiculous. Monk was ridiculous. Sentinel was ridiculous. 

    Occultists and serpents were easy to kill though.

    Apostate is nice in 2 v 2s though. 1 v 1 was just like almost entirely  luck based, and if you couldn't kill your opponent in 5 minuets you were out of wp and dead anyway. When SVO patched up it's apostate curing in recent patches it's just impossible to kill people as apo now.

    Technically, it's more like you saying "Sentinel is good because I killed Dakeyras." *log of stun axe*

    It's not really apostate that's bad as much as it is momentum afflicting. Serpent/apostate both got worse when people started playing more defensively.
