@Tirac yeah. Thundarsa did, but I couldn't get the kill. Oh well. I used your raid on eleusis as confusion. Wasn't helping them, per se, but I was? Meh, brain exhausted.

People wonder why I die so much. But really, it's Terra v. world.
Did someone hire on me? Also good kill, whoever killed me. That was a quick one.
Really though, the Cyrenians donning their spidey-suits and hopping on the dogpile are pretty annoying.
I can't speak for the other Cyrenians, but I'm getting tired of the 7 AM raids on Cyrene and certain Mhaldorians (cough @Proficy cough) randomly jumping Cyrenians and never explaining why. I actually didn't get involved until Proficy tracked to me in Cyrene during the raid on Eleusis. This isn't the first time he's done that either. I think it's more like the third, really, and he's never explained why he keeps trying even though I keep asking him. I didn't get involved in the second raid on Eleusis, but when Mhaldorians again entered Cyrene and attacked us mid-raid on Eleusis, I was tempted. It's only because you raided us right after that I didn't.
If you guys are going to insist that we not dogpile, you need to stop attacking us while you're raiding other people. Attacking us while raiding other people, then coming to the forums to complain about how we team with others is ridiculous. It's not like Cyrene is exactly an aggressive, combative city. There are maybe two people in the whole city who regularly, actively go out and fight with others. Soooo, if you've got 8 or so Cyrenians defending Eleusis against you, then maybe you need to look at your own behavior.
Edit: Also, yes, Thundarsa hired on you because you were randomly ganking her. By her account, she wasn't one of the Cyrenians defending and I don't remember her being there. Repeatedly killing non-combatants like Thundarsa is the sort of thing that's going to cause Cyrene to defend Eleusis, btw. :P

I sez: Mhaldor hasn't raided Cyrene until some Cyrenians started defending against exterms. You can also hire lots on Proficy, if you want.
I understand how it can be frustrating to some, so instead of people, I'm gonna blame forestal conflict instead. At least its feelings won't get hurt.
EDIT: I hate quotes. :< Also, I thought Cyrene defends against exterms, not Eleusis. Some people are saying they were indeed defending Eleusis. :S Should we be friends with Ashtan again?

Proficy likely doesn't mind if you hire on him. He thrives on the
combat, and really, if it's illegal, I doubt he'll voice it. At any
rate, the raids on Cyrene were plainly due to actions of several
Cyrenians that hopped on over to defend Eleusis, be it in sanctioned
raids or exterminations. When we first sanctioned on Cyrene, we (both @Kaevan and I) made it
plain through several yells why we were doing it. The only reply we got is: Go back to your hole, Mhaldorian scum. That basically made me go, 'oooookay, guess the reason is being ignored. Time to do it more.'
We're not doing it to
be asses; think back of the last time Mhaldor has ever sanctioned on
Cyrene.
Nonetheless, that earlier raid against Cyrene was craaaazy. Targossians + Cyrenians + Eleusians = ouch.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
First of all, ANY raid we've done on Cyrene is purely in RETALIATION to people you've already had there. Claiming otherwise is utterly false - go ask Das, Anicetus, or Silvarien (Tasleus as well) about their participation in Eleusian raids over the last week. We've only just started raiding you because we're sick of rites and beckons in Eleusis consistently being there on top of grove abilities. In fact, Ruth and Kaevan have both yelled out specifically *WHY* we were bothering to raid you in the first place - the only response was a "go away we don't want you". Which is fine, but given that Cyrenians helping Eleusians persisted, clearly nothing was done on Cyrene's end to prevent further raids from happening.
Das, Anicetus, Silvarien and Tasleus (? Fairly certain, but 3:30 AM memory is bad) have all repeatedly joined in raids on Eleusis multiple times without prompting. Not to mention Das teams up with Ashtani to attack Mhaldorians (I didn't mind the 2v2, but really now, Cyrene and Ashtan? Come on, I was expecting an Occultist and Vibes, double Magi or a BM and Magi, not Rites and Vibes from artietanks >.>), and I know that Kenway conveniently pops up in a number of raids as well. That's 5 right there already, making a nuisance of themselves when we're already outnumbered 16 to 5 already more than half the time.
I'm unaware of the Thundarsa kill, but I know that Tirac actively goes out of his way to prevent killing non-comms. If she died, it's more than likely she was in a raid area, with other Cyrenians having already defended, and she was with them for some period of time, or generally looking extremely suspicious. Don't forget that even non-comms can be giving blessings, defences, runes and the like - and we can't tell whether or not that's happening. Given that we're already massively outnumbered, constantly pressured, we can't really afford to stand there and wait tanking meteors, grove lightning, arrows and thurisaz while politely asking whether someone is involved in the conflict or not. We occasionally make mistakes, but we by and large go out of the way to avoid non-comms - if we wanted to grief, it would be a *lot* worse. I also highly doubt we -repeatedly- killed Thundarsa unless she continued to return to the same area after death - which in itself is extremely suspicious, as it begs the question to why one would return to the area that you've been killed unless you're actively seeking conflict or are planning to aid our enemies (I could be wrong about not repeatedly killing her - I wasn't there at the time but the account, given as written seems blatantly off).
If she was seriously a non-comm not doing anything but be in the area, sorry. Our mistake, she was in the wrong spot at the wrong time and we'll try to avoid it. Hiring the mark is fine, but if the rest of you come join in, we're also going to raid back - given that your interference *certainly* came first. And don't forget that her account is precisely that - *her* account. If Tirac killed her, then he certainly has his own account that should be taken into account as well. Cyrenians in general have a habit of doing things like leaving rites on clouds and enemying us to them, -particularly- non-comms (I think maybe @Melodie did it once? Not sure if it was you, or some other Devotionist). Personally, I don't mind, but that's to me is a clear invitation to conflict, and if they're going to hide in your city, the city itself better be willing to defend them, or sacrifice them. I've been leading raids/been around for basically all the raids that go on in Mhaldor for the last few months, and so I know exactly when we raided Cyrene, and when they started teaming with Ashtani and Eleusians.
While I can understand the odd Cyrenian *occasionally* being there, it's been a consistent presence that only pushes us to go harder to eradicate alliances from happening in the first place.
As for Proficy ganking you, hire on him tons of times? Or gather up a raid team and raid Mhaldor - Cyrene almost certainly has more than three to five times our number if Cyrene really put its mind to it. On the flip side, if it were just Das coming to aid Eleusis, I would just gank him repeatedly until he stops bothering to defend Eleusis/work with Ashtan. but I wouldn't lead a raid Cyrene because of it. But if it's at least five of your citizens and occasionally other ones on top of them bringing in an entire set of factional tools and arties with them, it seems to me that it's more a city effort/supported by the city, rather than random individuals doing their own thing.
EDIT: To address "raiding Cyrene while raiding other people," either Eleusis told us to back off, or we decided it was enough so we switched targets. We're not raiding both of you at the same time - we're raiding you because you came to raid us in the first place, AFTER we decided to stop raiding Eleusis, to set the record straight.
Tl;dr : You have several Cyrenians who defended Eleusis throughout the course of the entire week. The first raid was yesterday, when we told you exactly *why* we raided. You guys kept helping out so we came back. Oh, and sorry about Thundarsa, we generally don't gank/kill non-comms. Either a mistake, or she looked mighty suspicious
If your citizens are going to defend another city, it doesn't matter what your ideology is or whether you feel it's wrong to forbid them from doing so, be prepared to reap the whirlwind.
