Also, I lied. I wouldn't actually have triple-suicided. I find it gets really tough to muster the necessary energy for a suicide once you are already dead or doubledead.
Not sure why anyone is trying to justify bind/trample/vivi. Doing so means you should also support removing kai aura so we can cripple/vivi and enfeeble/absolve again. We've been getting away from such no-thought kills for a reason.
A half-second aura on trample would be a perfectly reasonable fix. It would have 0 impact on 1v1, while bringing trample in line with cripple and enfeeble.
Buckawns shouldn't be a requirement for not getting instakilled without any prep out of the blue. Balancing an ability around a defensive artefact seems quite questionable.

There are several ways of pinning people down that don't rely on web, it just makes it more widely available. But either way, that isn't an "instakill", simply due to the somewhat more extended time it takes, which makes it more likely that there will at some point be a small gap allowing you to escape, or for an ally to help you out. But yes, not always. There are plenty of 2v1 situations that leave very little chance of survival. The main difference between them is how fast they are to pull off and how reliable they are.
Your argument, while having a point, is getting a little ambiguous. The "maybes" are not really points that can be argued against.
Yeah, it's not a clear "this here is good and this here is bad because X"-argument. It's hard to state "objectively" what kinds of gank tactics are fine and which are OP. I just have difficulties understanding why it would be so important to some to oppose such an aura, which would have the only affect of making ping battles in such ganks less relevant. The only way any tramplesect can work on a target that has salve balance is to beat his ping, which I find the primarily questionable aspect. A brief aura would not only not affect 1v1, but would also leave most group combat situations unaffected as long as you get the target to apply restoration first (which isn't all that hard in a 2v1 either).
On the note of being off-topic Occultist+Bm > Three people trample imo, sure it may take 5-6 seconds instead of instant but doesn't require your opponent to have bad latency or what not.
