Multiclass Runie - Specialization

I'm thinking about using my first multiclass to do Runewarden. I'm primarily thinking about using if for just bashing, but it would be good to be decent in a fight. At least group combat.
I remember old Runie where the only option was really DWC, but I keep hearing a lot in favor of DWB and 2H these days. I know this is a bit of a rehash on older threads, but they all 2 years old and since I just came back after so long, I don't know what all, if any, has changed.
So what do you all think is the most effective bashing spec (Artie or unartied, I'll get them eventually), and is a welcome addition to group combat, unless runie is only good for propping.

2h for bashing, with DWC a close contender.DWC/SnB for group combat.2h is okay for group combat, but doesn't really offer anything besides loldamage. If you're wanting to do both, and arti prices aren't a huge concern, I'd go DWC. Dual Blunt is kinda meh for both; groups it doesn't provide anything particularly outstanding, bashing the two I listed are better.6

Regarding artefacts for hunting - this is going to depend mostly on if you have a SoA or not. If you do, then SnB is the way to go, if you don't, 2h. Other artefacts for hunting follow most of the standard fare - sip ring, crit pendant, etc.
Beyond that, hunting as a 2h RW is still pretty solid and the same between arte'd and unarte'd. If you plan to only hunt with it, you will want to seriously consider using your racial specialisation and major trait for CON to get the health boost. I think I'm sitting at 19 CON with weathering, and after hunting runes I am at 5040HP without any CON artefacts.
You'll definitely want to get your field plate as soon as possible and at least sketch gebu and gebo on it. Hunting without runic empowerment hurts. You will still be running from a couple rooms with it, but it makes it far easier to stand in the rooms with one or two mobs that team up for longer. Specifically with 2h, your bread-and-butter attack will be "BATTLEFURY FOCUS SPEED | ONSLAUGHT". You can use the focus as soon as you have class balance again, but you ideally want to just use it before the attack.
For group combat, DWC brings the same flair and utility it always has with venoms, engage, and lunge. SnB is pretty good if you're looking for something different though. @Exelethril put together a pretty good guide on SnB PVP if you wanna read through it.3 -

Fullplate is still pretty expensive to buy for true novices. Might not be exact, but 10k full plate compared to 3k field plate when most are still struggling to get vials/pipes/herbs/tattoos/skills.
Can definitely make an argument to save for full plate right away though, and can always work with a house or city mate to get cheaper armour.1 -
Ok, that makes sense. I wasn't looking at it from a novice's point-of-view.
