  • Okay, so after checking references, battlecry takes 4 seconds of equilibrium balance. I can definitely see where this would be useful defensively, but I'm having trouble determining if there is any offensive viability.

As for fracture relapse, if I'm not mistaken, the affliction tick occurs when you hit the limb ( Hew Leg > 1 Frac and immediate tick of Clumsiness ), and then subsequent relapses occur as follows:
    1 Frac: 5 seconds
    2 Frac: 4 seconds
    3 Frac: 3 seconds
    4 Frac: 2 seconds
    5+ Frac: 1 second

    Is that correct?

@Myrddin: That was an option I was made aware of and one I started considering, but a citymate offered to sneak me in and out. After it was said and done, I feel the whole experience was more fun than it would have been to just get an escort. Gettin smuggled in, getting the training, shouting out "Done!" in a panic, patting a totem for the lulz, and then getting smuggled out was just amusing.
  • Battlecry has a much longer equilibrium than the stun, so offensively it's not much good 1v1. It's great in group fights though.

I just always like offering that possible solution since that can really discourage some people from getting the Warhammer prof, which is most peoples opinions, is a vital weapon for 2H Knights.

(Your way sounds a lot more fun!)

  • As a 2h combatant for some time now, I just wanted to add in a few points that were not really covered in here to help you out a little bit.

2h does not have a set path to focus on as far as a kill path. Issam covered it in saying that each fight is situational based on what they are trying to achieve and how your defensiveness is set up. Having your ground runes is a huge help in any fight, but paying attention to your opponent is just as useful. As someone who actually picks fights with Serpents and Bards (imo the 2 hardest classes for 2h to fight), as long as you watch how they react defensively, you can manage to build up an offense with them. I have a fracture counter as well as triggers that echo what they are curing based off what fractures I have given them.

Usually I will start out a fight rotating between arms and legs, getting a feel for which limb they cure first. If an opponent cures leg fractures first over arm fractures (which is generally the case, except for some very specific classes/setups) then you can hit with speed on arms twice, then switch to legs, giving you fractures on arms, that generally won't be cured any time soon unless they run from you. Once I get some arm fractures stacked, I look at what is being parried. If they are parrying head over torso, I will hit their torso a few times to see if they cure torso fractures over legs. If they are still curing legs then you can stack some torso fractures in there as well while rotating between legs. If they are parrying torso over head, then I purely focus on head fractures. 95% of my fights people have cured head fractures over legs. meaning whatever fractures I have stacked once I switch to the head are going to be perma stuck as long as they sit in the room with me.

If someone has legs prio'd over head, and they are not parrying head, they are asking for a free death.

From there my general tip is to pay attention to limb counts and fracture counts. You can get a kill off a level 6 devastate to legs, which will give you 2 disembowels. Having a torso break, you can get a kill off one disembowel (assuming you have 18+ str). Unless the target is super tanky, most people fall after the second disembowel. You can secure a double disembowel off one leg devastate, but generally when I feel like I can't secure it, I will get an arm devastate off with 4 fractures, and then devastate the legs on 6 right after, giving me a resto/mending cd on the target.

As far as hammers go, I generally don't use them. By paying attention to the targets curing prios on fractures, its really easy to stack them if they decide to sit in the room with you. Having the venom application goes a long way because it sets their curing behind on multiple fracture relapses. Having them focus on the venom, and not the relapses can severely hinder an opponent. Hammers are great to have though if you are needing to break a limb super quick, I just don't personally use them.
