  • @Koyuki 'Small snow,' as a Japanese name, is more likely to be 'Yukiko.' At least, based on my 20ish years of irregular study of the language, despite having nobody with whom to practise!

And you people think I'm stupid IN-game! :P

Kill Bill movies were based off a Japanese story surrounding a woman of a similar name.

    An Cyrion = a cyrenian
That's how it comes across in my head. However, I noticed when you took on that name for Aerek and thought it was a vast improvement.

I never saw it that way, @Kyrra! Good spotting.

I am so glad I will not have to wear LastGoodbye though. So... so glad.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy

Irrelevant, as it's one short of being the most important number ever.

    Add another i.

Cowmain. Catmain's bigger cousin and Carbear's more docile brother.
Edit: I mean Carbear. Not Bearmain.

Caoimhaen sounds irish/celtic. I would have guessed something like cow-en.

More like KEE-vayn. Similar to the actual Irish name Caoimhín ([ˈkiːvʲiːnʲ])
  • I pronounce my name like I'm saying Syria, but I drop the 'a'.

Or the first two syllables of 'serious'.

If it's supposed to be Irish, it's not clear how you would tell whether the mh should be broad or slender - it's preceded by an i, but followed by an a, violating caol le caol agus leathan le leathan. So either /vʲ/ or /w/ is possible.

Hm, fair enough. I've never really grokked the whole broad/slender thing, so I just left it the same as in Caoimhín.

The name is forever tarnished... >.<
  • Dear Achaeans,

You know, this is a great topic, how the hell do you pronounce your names?  Mine is fairly simple...but I think it sounds like...Co-Bra.  Not the most original name but my original choice was already a skill in Achaea.  So...Born I am as Cobra.  Oh and by the way.  I bet there is a Cobra is every single game on the net, and you can rest assured NONE of them are the original Cobra from Achaea.  However, I did run as another name, before I had it changed...gads, hopefully none of you  remember.

Thank you for this section, please include your last names as well.  In fact. Pronounce your entire title.  Again, mine have always been easily read out loud, but some of you have gone far and beyond at making sh*t up.

    Take care of yourselves,

    Cobra
