Weep. I want globes but I don't want to give into temptation.

Also what pets are there from the gloves presently? There's a panda(?), marmot, fox, gibbon..

I must get more of these to annoy Yang.

  • Guys, on the bright side, if before you got absolute crap in globes, you got like... 20k/useless trinkets/circle of friends. Now you at least get 25cr + a bit of gold at minimum.

                   Honourable, knight eternal,

                                            Darkly evil, cruel infernal.

                                                                     Necromanctic to the core,

                                                                                             Dance with death forever more.

  • I've broken even on mine so far: The 15 pack has given me 200 credits, plus gold and crowns.

    And a marmot gift.

Awesome! I should stop; I'm developing a gambling addiction.

    (I left out the pack of 5 where I got 5cr, 5cr, gold, 5cr, 5cr. Seriously.)

Yeah, I caved. Month-early birthday present to myself <.<

Diamond vial, 5 cr, 10 cr, two pairs of ivory dice (o.o) overall slightly more worth it than if I'd used the same amount of money to buy credits, so I'm satisfied!

That makes me a bit happier with what I got, but I still think it's lame that the payoff in Achaea is so much lower than in other IRE ventures.

I guess I'll just stay away from globes from now on and buy delicious credits instead.

EDIT: In order to contribute a bit more to this thread without spamming it, I am just going to say that set items are such a fun idea for these sort of items. Gathering them, trading with people etc, is kind of nice, and you'll usually end up with artifacts that are cheaper than what they would cost if they were just added to the artefact shops.
That's because Achaea is hardmode. We have standards.
And on Wednesdays, we wear pink.

Actually, the average value of the globes is standardised across all of the IRE games!

oh, I think what he was saying is that in the other IRE you can be rewarded with set piece items from the globes/chests/presents/etc that can be traded around to become wonderful items. Per example, in Lusternia (yes I said the taboo name of MUDS) one can receive pieces to a puzzle item that when put together can give them a special bonus. In Aetolia, there are also set piece items that when you receive 4 of a certain kind, can be combined to become a useful artifact, with abilities such as the  item glowing when an enemy enters the area.

Edit: Also in the previous globes purchase events, the items won were much less in value from the other IRE. Thankfully this time around the circlet of friends and clan slots and decayable items have been removed. :)

Approximately two feet in stature, this dwarf panda cub is fairly small. What he lacks in size,
however, he makes up for in sheer cuteness. A curious, furry white face is marked with two black
circles around wide, intelligent eyes, and his tiny nose has a velvet appearance. He has a little
bit of a pot belly, but otherwise looks healthy and in shape for a young panda, and a small nub of a
    tail twitches excitedly.
A dwarf panda cub is a humble-looking creature.

A mayan crown, 55 credits, and an ice figurine.

    Pretty happy with that!

429 credits, 3 vials, 5 mayan crowns and 120k, glass figurine, and a wittle mole - from 45 globes. someone want to do the math for me? I think I came out a head.

You might come out ahead in raw value but since you can't place your credits where you really want to, there's a chance the true intrinsic value of whatever came out of the globes to you is significantly less.

Anyways, assuming $0.35 per credit and $5 per globe.

    (45*$5 = $225) - ($0.35*429) + [(120/6)*$0.35]  + ($0.35*30*5) + ($0.35*150) + ($0.35*~50) = $225 - $280 = -$55 dollars = ~$55 ahead.

Aww, don't have a gazelle description yet, unfortunately! She/he's still sitting snug in her/his crate. :(

But here's a bundle of fluffiness for Jurixe.  :)

    A polar bear cub

Plush, thick fur cushions this chubby creature's juvenile limbs and rounded belly, the fluffy pelt puffed out to give the illusion of much more volume than actually exists beneath. Rounded ears crown the bear's head and a stubby tail wriggles back and forth on his rump, but it is his enormous paws that lend him an ungainly appearance. Though his brown eyes are quite small, they are lively within his snowy face, and an obsidian nose tips his short muzzle, twitching even when the cub is at rest.
