@Trey, pardon my ignorance: how are you receiving/opening globes from other players? Are you able to open them if another person hands them to you, or are these globe pieces (talisman) that you're able to put together from the top, middle, and bottom?
Also generally, are the talisman pieces from this promo redeemable like last month's Conclave parts?
I've been paying people credits to buy globes -for Trey-. You cannot hand someone a globe bought for you and have them open it unfortunately. As for redeemable talisman pieces, the Conclave parts are, wonders parts aren't.

Ah, got it. The commonsensical approach escaped me :P
I figured as much for the varying talisman sets. Thank you, and @khaibit!
Incidentally, I'm still trading credits for globes at a rate of 100cr per 5. Biggest batch was 1000cr for 50 so far, help feed my degenerate gambling habit!
Aurora says, "Tharvis, why are you always breaking things?!" Artemis says, "You are so high maintenance, Tharvis, gosh." Tecton says, "It's still your fault, Tharvis."
Had so far two pheasants, two dingos, a tamarin and a dirangi cub. Dingos sold, Dirangi high bid is 145cr right now, someone bid on a pheasant and bailed on me, and a few other people are bidding on the tamarin.
The two halves of the globe split open to reveal 5 credits! You have been awarded with a bucket handle talisman piece! As the two halves fade away, you realise that you've also been gifted with 990 gold sovereigns, a group of 14 ginseng roots, a group of 10 steel bars, and an oaken vial!
So excited to get that bucket handle! I've had those other talisman pieces hanging around forever.
Tempted to get some more, but don't really want to bother trading/selling anymore stuff, even if I get lucky, especially pieces. The pheasant is cute, but not so cute I wanted to go full on hoarder for him. His best reaction is actually to strangers, anyway, heh.
Speaking of the pheasant, what is the going rate for him? I sold him to a city mate for 85 credits as sort of a "good deal", but if he's worth less than that, I'd give some back. At the time, we just got a wag on what they were going for, and I gave a little discount.
The two halves of the globe split open to reveal you are broke and have no life!
Wtb disposable income
I will sell you disposable income for $1.50 per dollar you need.
Probably a better deal than a payday loanlolglobes hehe.
Tvistor: If that was a troll, it was masterful.
I take my hat off to you.

Is this a win?
They trade for 30cr, so technically yes? They're bound when you trade them, though. On the offchance that you wanted Ivory dice eventually, though, then yes, it was a win.
The two halves of the globe split open to reveal a free trait reset!
I'm okay with this. Only one I bought/am buying.
But what if the next one holds something even more shiny?!?
Hasar has pretty much summed up why I've continually lost money trading credits to people for globes.
In other news, trading credits for globes still.

I got 25 credits in another one. Stopping while I'm ahead. Got some cloth (which I was out of), goldenseal, about 4k gold, the ivory dice (that I did trade in) and some bloodroot.

Pretty happy with my $10 gamble.
I feel like I've come out ahead too, but there is still that part of me that thinks, "But maybe the next globe will have something even better..."

Globe of enchanted water is part of the bait bucket talisman set. I'm not sure what else you don't know about, so ask!

He is doing the same as I did, someone buys them off the website in your name, you give said person credits
