  • First denizen interaction!

Okay, so it was totally directed at someone else in my group, not to me AT ALL. And I spent most of the interaction with my mouth shut so as not to be all "look at me! I'm here, too!"

But just the fact that a denizen went from "Greetings, Earthling! Here is an automated response!" to actual interaction was very, very cool. So, whoever was responsible, thanks and you rock.

Want to give a shout out to the Black Lotus, specifically Haldon and Valden. First day having been finally inducted and every one was awesome. Super welcoming. Was super excited to talk some what philosophy with Haldon, jumping right into the idealogy of the House and how we fit into it. Great taste of both testing himself, and proving he'll fit in, while keeping his individual view on the matter. Also for just helping test system things, super repeative but made it possible to work! Same at Valden. Fellow Disciple, leaping into helping each other train, and then just chilling and getting to know each other. Rp history stories, and good bonding. So much win!
^ A little rave of my own relating to you @Illyose
The whole defense party was rough, admittedly but I think you did a good job doing raid-defense party-leader at that raid on us by Mhaldor. My mind froze up, lol. I was like *blink* (It was 5 a.m. my time, was about to go to bed lol).

@Mishgul there's a direct correlation between freshness of bacon and level of awesomeness?

Also, I just thought of a Rave - I've been playing achaea off an on for about 10 years now, and I have not enjoyed any other game as much as Achaea. Recently I've been playing some other MMO's and the experience has been spoiled somewhat by the level of interaction that you get in Achaea. Things are so much more static and unchanging in those other games.  Being part of organisations that have a real impact on the world in which you play makes it feel more like a living, breathing place rather then just a really pretty backdrop.  Killing mobs here, especially the "sentient" mobs, has always held a small sense of hesitation because of the fact that they could interact with you or you've interacted with them before. In the other games I'm playing it's just something on the way to more xp.  There's a sense of connection to the world of Achaea because of this that isn't present in the other mmo's.

  • The freshness of one's bacon is directly proportional to the level of one's awesome.
  • JonathinJonathin Retired in a hole.
@Berenene: While old bacon is awesome in itself, fresh bacon is better simply because it's edible.
I am retired and log into the forums maybe once every 2 months. It was a good 20 years, live your best lives, friends.

  • I want to thank everybody I interracted with the last year. It wa very intense - even if often hard. It really give depth to my character and really made me rethink it.

    Thank you all.

  • Our admin are really great for responding so well to that thread about the auctions. They could have just decided not to do auctions anymore or taken offense at people not being happy with the last auctions, but instead they made a lot of new auctions with ideas people wanted. I love our admin.

  • Rave: Credit prices finally falling :) Huzzah!
  • This one seems to've been balanced much better with the economy in mind. Props for some decent gold auctions to offset the credit ones.
  • I know there has been a lot of bad rants about the raids on Hashan. I am actually enjoying the raids. I don`t get to do much, a little hindering, a few runes, and lots of running away.
I am not heavy into combat but I do try to help out where I can. So thanks for making this winter an interesting one.

  • The chocolate bags are in preparation for the new Achaean event that will usher in the latest system.  After people have begun consuming chocolates, their teeth will begin to fall out.  Dr Kortoxian will announce that he will be opening a new dental practice to help those suffering from tooth decay and from then on, along with eating and sleeping, people under level 80 will also have to stave off gingivitis and halitosis.

    You know what you did.

@Gnaash - you're amazing. Never, ever go dormant again. (please. If you can, you know, avoid it).

Rave for Someone creeping me out. Majorly.

I was utterly expecting nothing but a quiet night, and you picked a -perfect- time to flip me out.

"And so you shall," chuckles a voice from all around you. "And so indeed you shall."

    Holy crap.
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

The twisted remains of Drave lie here. The twisted remains of Rispok lie here. The twisted remains
of Vaxarn lie here. Bustling with energy, a rambunctious ferret rollicks about. There is a small
pile of golden sovereigns here. The twisted remains of Kaitali lie here. A green eyelash viper is
slithering about here. The twisted remains of Shirszae lie here. A fairly large group of pinches of
powdered sulphur lies discarded here. A fairly large group of drams of mercury lies discarded here.
There are 20 bars of silver in 10 groups here. There are 5 salt crystals in a group here. The
twisted remains of Lupe lie here. The twisted remains of Xai lie here. Resting here with a haughty
expression is a golden gryphon. The twisted remains of Valden lie here.  The soul of Kaitali roams
the land, bodiless. The soul of Valden roams the land, bodiless. The soul of Vaxarn roams the land,
bodiless. The soul of Drave roams the land, bodiless.
    There are no obvious exits.

You grasp frantically at your throat as you gasp pathetically for air and find nothing but thick,
choking dust, kicked up in great clouds around you as you attempt to flail and struggle with rapidly
    freezing limbs.

Spastic convulsions overwhelm your rapidly cooling, oxygen-deprived body, generating blinding pain
    with each wild, uncontrollable motion.

You open your mouth in a noiseless scream as trails of vapour exit your body from every orifice,
freezing you from the inside out.
You stiffen as icy fingers clench around your heart like serrated blades as it slows, and stops.
You have been slain by wrath of Ourania, Goddess of the Moon.
