Long orientations bug me. as does being told to read a bucketload of helpfiles.
Really, one of the more productive options to retaining kids is to take them along with you to go and actually do things.
Case in point, I've made characters on Imperian several times and my interest in them seldom lasts longer than a couple of weeks to a month. Why? Because (apart from learning that you should never make a character in Kinsarmar) there's nobody around when I play and there isn't really anyone to help you out or show you the ropes or to even talk to.
It's as opposed to when I was starting out in Achaea. I was a completely clueless newb but people took the time to let me tag along and bring me places. Even if it's just to go chill at the forge while someone's forging.
So if there's any Rave here, it's thanks to all those people who take the time to hangout with newbies. Whether they're obnoxiously clueless or cluelessly obnoxious.
Hashan needs to find things to occupy it's citizens. :P Rave for ways of finding out what weird stuff people say about you...
@Xith no, I'm not a dick, yes, I am a mhun-killer, and proud of it, but that's a bit harsh. Bitch would also be considered appropriate in many situations.
You are 75% of a Carmain alt, you are just missing the hands. You need Rachmaninov hands.
My hands are small, I know. But they're not yours, they are my own.
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."
You lot have been amazing, whether the times are good or bad, you've stuck together as one. You make the game so interesting by the difference in viewpoints and attitudes, don't change for the world.
You all are doing so well going after what is important to you your own way, but also not forgetting to help out in any other things that may crop up, even if it's not your forte. It's truly that that's helped keep going for as long as we have. Thank you for it.
Since I have been back, you've done nothing short of made me feel like I was at home, and continue to do so to any of the old ones that had left or disappeared throughout the times, as well as every new person I have seen as a Phaestean or Chosen.
I know that I was not the easiest person to deal with for a good hunk of time, and I know that you have dealt with much more than me and shown total patience for everyone and everything that comes up or drags on. Thank you for that.
Thank you for all of the work you have put forward for the Chosen, for Cyrene and for the others that you always seem to touch just being around and giving them a hand or an ale when they are down. Makes a world of difference to a group of people when they know they do have someone that gives a damn.
You have helped forge the game for a good amount of people, just being there and being thoughtful.
Thank you.
I have enjoyed working with all of you for so long. Thank you for giving me such a great opportunity and I look forward to continue on for as long as I can.

Actual rave: Suddenly having lots to do. Despite still having little ups and downs, the roleplay has been delicious.
Even if it gets interrupted for a Senate meeting.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
Kybrae tells you, "I have a ... proposoal for you."
Kybrae tells you, "You seem to... hrm how can I put this nicely."
You tell Shadow Dancer Kybrae Diamante-Sar'vet, Initiate of Ti'rith, "Well Lass, ah'm not sure ah
know yeh well enough tah take yer hand in marriage. Perhaps a few dates first."
Kybrae tells you, "Haha, I'm engaged already dear but anyways."
Kybrae tells you, "You seem to have a slight issue with your... talking, your... accent and forming
words... I'm offering to... help you there. Perhaps help you learn how to talk more clearly so you
can be... better understood?"
So awesome to get a chance to rp out speaking clearer! Less pissing people off! Huge thanks to Kybrae for willing to rp it out and giving a creative solution to the problem!
Part of the reason this was introduced was for people like you. Use it.
5.21 Voice or Accent
I've been hearing a lot of people complain about it, and I was about to go bat-shit crazy. I tried to go for a rational response to his... talking. Other then the "beat him over the head every time he messes up" thing a few others were saying, (not naming names). It's either that, or strangling him... I don't like violence... so...
thankfully he's a good sport haha XD
//EDIT: cut out the whole help file thing so it wouldn't take up so much space in quoting this.

Yeah, but what you... don't understand, I'm afraid is that... oh, how do I put this..
There... are some things... that are equally... hmm, obnoxious.

LOL I'm not always like that though. I was just trying to not hurt his feelings, and wasn't sure how to explain XD
It always drives me crazy whenever I speak to Imaji but that's just how he is.
Most people doing the whole scottish dwarven accent make me think of pudgy buddah statues that sound like Sean Connery.

So he attempted to groom you while sounding like Sean Connery?

I don't understand how you aren't getting the 'point' when you abuse the hell out of them in every instance I've ever interacted with you in-character. Ellipses are an endangered species, man. Once they're gone, they're GONE. And then we have another Sarah McLaughlin commercial that ruins your day, and nobody wants that.
Had a fun day time today, from the paperwork business to the combat front to the novice front. Easily one of my best days in Mhaldor. Thanks to @Vadimuses, @Xer, @Xenomorph, @Kronid, @Tirac, as well as the Moghedu people, @Iocun, @Xith and all their tag-alongs.
"Mummy, I'm hungry, but there's no one to eat! :C"
^Speaking of characters who rp an accent. But not everyone can be Gnaash, and I rarely mind those who are trying (in reference to the last page or so).
