Raves for @Babel, Mordanyconus, @Amunet, @Corbeaux, @Jarrod, @Sohl, and dying choking on my own text blood. That was a great night all around!
The sweltering heat of the forge spills out across the land as the rumbling voice of Phaestus booms, "I want you to know, the Garden reaction to that one is: What?" The voice of Melantha, Goddess of the Seasons, echoes amid the rustle of leaves, "That's the censored version."
That was one of the better deaths I've had the opportunity to witness.
My avatar is an image created by this very talented gentleman, of whose work I am extremely jealous. It was not originally a picture of Amunet, but it certainly looks a great deal like how I envision her!
Rave for @Idelisa and everyone else involved for going WAY above and beyond with the Service for the Lost Gods just now.
Doing Apollyon's eulogy to the forestal community was a bitch but seriously pushed me to think about the game in a way I haven't for a while, also thanks to @Nizaris for playing along with the research phase.
My eulogy for Miramar sucked, but I survived I think. Everyone else was brilliant, and having Aderia *cough* @phaestus *cough* there too made it all the more special.
One of my best RPing experiences in-game in a very, VERY long time.
Uhhhhh... yeah, the suddenly realizing that @Phaestus was there the WHOLE FREAKING TIME made me pee myself a little bit. But Thanks to everyone involved, it really was awesome.
Even with getting lectured for memorializing all the "bad" gods.
We don't normally correct assumptions like this, and maybe I shouldn't, but being credited with being Aderia for your ceremony makes me feel so guilty that I can't stand it. Wasn't me! You all did a really fine job and we thought it was very touching.
I want a log of all these eulogies. PM me or something.
"Faded away like the stars in the morning, Losing their light in the glorious sun, Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling, Only remembered for what we have done."
Meh, I'm working on it. I'll post the controversial ones when I clean them up and figure out where to post them. >.>
In the mean time... a tease for @Nizaris... He got a better response than mine on Indrani :P
Anatral says quietly in a calm, baritone voice, "Why in the name of all that is good in this world would we eulogise the likes of Lord Apollyon? The Suffering, Half of Sartan, the One-Eyed, The Ultimate Wounded, One of the Twin Lords of Mhaldor."
Anatral says quietly in a calm, baritone voice, "Enemy of nature, master of our enemies."
Anatral lifts his head and drops one end of his quarterstaff to the ground, leaning on it as he looks you all evenly in the eye.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby
That's actually a really notable achievement. If I didn't have any friends (IC and OOC) I wouldn't expect to make it past slave. So good work doing that.

Oh and serious rave for the mysterious writer of the final eulogy. Fell into my hands anonymously and was beautiful.
Losing their light in the glorious sun,

Also rave for Melodie, who ICly doesn't get that her character is in "oh no she di'int" territory with an emotional hermit. Love Mel.

We will now convert Mhaldor into a floating ship fortress to better grief fishermen.
