Very basic Mudlet setup problem

I have almost no coding ability, so this is a very basic question.
I have a barebones GUI. Main content on the left, map in the upper right and chat box in the lower right. I don't remember how I created it two years ago and I don't know how to adjust it.
Sailing with the map in the main window has always been difficult, but I've been coping. Today I installed Zulah's sea mapping plugin. When I couldn't figure out how to move the window where I need it to be, I uninstalled the plugin. When I start Mudlet now, I have a huge black box on the left and the game content is hiding behind my map and chat boxes. How do I get rid of it?

Under Options, select Preferences, then go to the Main display tab. If any of the border values are set above 0, reset them.
